Location is not ideal due to the other side of the island from main spots. Lots of bugs and wildlife (gecko, spiders, lizards) in the room due to the bathroom having no roof. The door had an issue shutting. Roof in the main room, leaked throughout the night. Pool was extremely murky.
Orrendo. Camera sporca, macchie sulle lenzuola e asciugamani, piscina altrettanto sporca. Non abbiamo dormito a causa un di un geko Toyak che stava dentro il comodino della camera, una razza considerata aggressiva e pericolosa. Abbiamo provato a contattare il numero indicato per le emergenze più volte a partire dalle 22 circa ma non ha mai risposto nessuno. Colazione pessima e con solo due scelte, alcuni ingredienti non erano disponibili perchè costosi (pomodori). Staff scortese e maleducato.
Orrendo. camera sporca, stains on sheets and towels, pool equally dirty. we didn't sleep because of a geko Toyak who was inside the comodino della camera, a race considered aggressive and dangerous. we tried to contact the indicated emergency number several times starting at about 10 pm but no one answered. breakfast was bad and with only two choices, some ingredients were not available because they were expensive (tomatoes). staff was rude and rude.
The staff at this hostel are very nice and friendly, however I do not recommend. Unfortunately the facilities in this hostel are extremely outdated. The pool is unclean, dorms are unclean and bathroom did not have a functioning lock and the tap was broken and very loud. There are a lot of bugs and noisy geckos in the dorm rooms, and the entrance door does not close properly. There was a rat in the dorm room, and it was later seen running on the kitchen counter. This is very unhygienic!!
Staff were so so so nice! However, the dorms were very dirty with no privacy. Tons of bugs, like a lot of bugs. Gecko poop on the floor every morning. Bathrooms were questionable at best. We had no running water 2/3 of the days we were there. Again, the staff were fantastic and the location was ideal!
Booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 1. Didn’t even try and get my money back I just wanted to get out asap. Staff were so lovely but the dorm was awful. Flys and bugs everywhere. Every time I laid in bed a bug would drop on me or fall into my bag. There were no nets around our beds, across the doors (which didn’t shut properly so everything was coming in) there was gecko p** on the floor. If they sorted out the cleanliness it would be a decent hostel. But there are far nicer ones in Nusa...
Goed: Staf aardig/ behulpzaam/ snel via app. Aandachtspunt : -Mieren uit het doucheputje en stank, liepen tevens rond in de kamer. Opgelost dag later. - douche verouderd en daardoor het gevoel niet hygiënisch te zijn. - honden, prima maar de zitzakken bij het zwembad werden onder gepist. - het dak zaten openingen waardoor grote gekko in onze kamer zat en op ons bed had gescheten. Alles bij elkaar voelde niet relax/ schoon. Het is de natuur maar hopelijk kan hier iets mee.

Solved a day later. - Shower outdated and therefore feeling unhygienic. - Dogs, fine but the zitzakes at the pool are being under the gas. - The roof were openings which had caused big gecko in our room and on our bed. Everything together felt not relax/ clean. It is natural but hopefully can help something here.
Nice staff, but unfortunately the facility has its best days behind it. No proper seating or lounger options at the pool. Unfortunately it rained in my hut and there were an incredible high number of bugs.
Het personeel was fantastisch, maar helaas viel de accommodatie wat tegen. Het was heel rustig en er hing niet echt een sfeer in het hostel. Geen lekkere chillplek bij het zwembad, het restaurant was gesloten en ze hadden 1 optie voor het ontbijt (wat overigens wel goed smaakte). De WiFi deed het niet goed in mijn huisje en er zaten vieze vlekken op m’n deken. Heb in mijn lakenzak geslapen. Tot slot was er helaas door een defect geen warm water in mijn huisje.
Leider sehen die Zimmer nicht mehr so aus wie abgebildet. Die Lage ist sehr weit ab vom Schuss und man kommt nur mit Roller oder Fahrer weg. Grundsätzlich habe ich die guten Bewertungen nicht ganz verstanden. Da alles sehr alt und heruntergekommen ist.
Unfortunately the rooms don't look like the pictures anymore. the location is very far from the Schuss and you only get away with a Roller or a driver. basically I didn't quite understand the good reviews. as everything is very tall and run down.
Hele lieve mensen, maar de accommodatie… Als je hier voor je rust komt, moet je hier niet heengaan. 2 nachten wakker gelegen door non stop blaffende honden. En om 3 uur ‘s nachts begint er een haan te kraaien. Bij het zwembad geen bedjes, alleen 1 zitzak.
All the lovely people, but the accommodation... if you come here before your break, don't go here. 2 nights awake by non-stop barking dogs. and at 3 o'clock in the morning a haun starts to crow. by the pool no beds, only 1 zitzak.

Great hostel lovely staff. The location is a little bit far away, but the staff is so friendly, helpful and made is place feel like home. I highly recommend it.
The staff were so kind and lovely! It’s more of a calm, not very social hostel but if you want to get some rest it’s the perfect place to be! Also near to the beach:)

I have enjoy stay with apit lawang hostel. Nice place with a largest garden. So peaceful..
We loved this hostel! The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are so nice and within nature, the cutest dogs come and say hi, the breakfast was great and we were able to rent a scooter to go round the island. They got us booked on the manta trip and drove us themselves which was so helpful. The restaurant next door was great too!

Cannot recommend enough- the 2 lady’s running reception were so helpful and friendly, they dropped and picked us up from town, as well as being so attentive to any issues we had. Would really recommend for some peace in Nusa penida

Staff are great fun and super helpful. The rooms are really cool and placed nicely. Good facilities. Very affordable to stay here and a 2 minute walk to the beach. I had a great stay and would recommend, easy to meet friends.
We had a really good time at the Apit Lawang hostel. The staff was really friendly and helpful was good to communicated.
Amazing staff that i already miss, and we for upgraded like a lot of others from a hostel bed to a single room with a doble bed! The location was on too and the brekfast was 10/10
The staff was friendly. The area isn’t walkable and there’s no Grab, so bring cash for taxis or scooter rental. The place wasn’t very clean and the AC was weak, but the price was reasonable. The roof leaks a bit when it rains, but beds stay dry. The scenery is beautiful. The pool wasn’t clean, so I wouldn’t use it. Breakfast was average. It looks different from the pictures but is okay for 1–3 nights.
Very nice staff. Area is not walkable so be prepared to have cash for taxis. AC wasn’t great on hot nights, but reasonable value for money.
The stuff is really really nice and helpful! I extended 4 nights! And if I ever come back to Nusa Penida I will stay there again!
Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl hier. Das Hostel ist in der Nähe der Häfen und diverser Restaurants. Das Hostelpersonal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Unterkunft war tip top. Wenn es regnet, tropft es etwas hinein. Macht aber nichts die Betten sind ja geschützt. Wir buchten ein Manta Schnorcheltripp der leider aufgrund des Wetters in der Hälfte (auf dem Boot) abgesagt wurde. Padmi (Hostelstuff) setzte sich aktiv ein, damit wir den Refund wieder bekommen haben. Danke nochmals dafür🙏
We feel very comfortable here. The hostel is close to the ports and various restaurants. The hostel staff is very attentive and friendly. The accommodation was tip top. If it rains, it drips a little. It doesn't matter but nothing the beds are protected. We booked a Manta Schnorcheltripp which was canceled due to the weather in the half (on the boat). Padmi (Hostelstuff) actively involved herself so that we could get the Refund back. Danke nochmals for that🙏
Super lieve mensen, nemen de tijd voor je en willen je helpen met je plannen! In de prachtige groene omgeving ligt deze plek maar toch dichtbij de weg en een restaurant. Precies in het midden tussen de dorpjes! Scooter huren is nodig, kan bij het hostel of even verderop. Het hostel is authentiek en low key, geen overbodige luxe maar basic en prachtig!
Super dear people, take your time before you and want to help with your planning! In the beautiful green surroundings this place is located but still close to the road and a restaurant. Right in the middle between the villages! Scooter hire is required, can be at the hostel or even further away. The hostel is authentic and low key, no overbodily luxury but basic and beautiful!
