I have no idea why this place has such a good rating, it's horrible. The place is filthy, really thick layers of dust everywhere, dirty bathrooms, my sheets were dirty and unwashed, my pillow smelled soured, etc. The dorm is old with shaky beds and has really bad air circulation. On top of that, the staff is unfriendly and grumpy, not willing to help in any way (e.g. didn't want to explain where the bus station is...). I do not recommend staying here, there are way better options in Sayulita!
They gave the bed I booked for around New Year's Eve away and randomly cancelled on me. Everywhere was booked out and I had to spend way more money than I anticipated. I haven't received the deposit back from the website and I'm left to deal with that as well.
Perfect for someone wanting to keep to the back streets and get a good nights sleep. We had a private room which felt quite expensive for the quality of the room, that being said there was nothing to complain about. A few issues with the toilets, the staff are rarely around. However the host recommended a bus back to Puerta Valletta airport which saved us money and was a great recommendation
The staff were friendly however this might have been the dirtiest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. At some point throughout the day, the water just shuts off and all of the toilets are full of human waste. This happened everyday I was there. It was truly disgusting. There was also just no toilet paper for days. Dried human waste in the walls of the stalls. The water purifier broke and people were drinking unclean water without any warning. This hostel is in a quiet place, has a swimming pool and the staff is very friendly. The people are nice and not a big party vibe but very chill. But, it was disgusting. The toilets did not flush every evening and morning so you can imagine what it looks like. Not something you want in the early morning. Also there was one shower that actually worked a bit. Good thing is that they clean the rooms often. Kitchen was quite dirty and not a lot of equipment, no coffee machine for example.
Not sure why this place is rated so highly. Stale atmosphere. The shared female dorm had little light and the surfaces were so dusty I barely wanted to put my luggage anywhere. You are not supplied with a blanket, only a sheet for bedding. I had to pay an $100 deposit for a small delta airline blanket, which was what was given to me when I asked for more bedding. The older staff member made it feel like asking for extra bedding was an inconvenience to him too. Younger staff member who checked me...
Tout au long de mon séjour il manquait toujours d'eau dans les toilettes, les planchers étaient souvent sales, les couvertures fournis sont seulement un petit drap ultra mince alors il nous charge un extra frais pour emprunter une plus grosse couverture...Bref confort vraiment de base! De plus, aucune ambiance dans ce hostel que ce soit le jour ou le soir alors pas l'endroit pour rencontrer des gens! Stayed here for about 1 week. Staff was nice but the rooms were not the cleanest. My bed wasn't made correctly so I was able to see the dirty mattress I was sleeping on which wasn't appealing at all. As someone who works while traveling their wifi was not great. I could not connect to the wifi from my room which forced me to work from the common room by the kitchen which could be loud at times. Not sure if I would stay here again.
A bit remote, but you can still walk into town and to the beach quite easily from there. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. Some facilities are a bit damaged and could use some repairs.
The staff was super friendly but the rooms were not great. There was only one shower and toilet in a 12 room dorm and the bathroom was not the cleanest. The common areas are nice and the location is good if you want to be close to everything but away from the noise at night.

Love! ITH staff holds a special place in my heart. They are truly amazing people who go out of their way to make guests feel at home, safe, comfortable & included. I have stayed there 4x’s now this past year (all separate trips) and each time has special stories & memories. I love the daily activities that brings everyone together! I will be back soon!
I had a very good time at the ITH hostel and extended many times and even came back to this one hostel. All in all i stayed 3 weeks there. I really liked the staff and the volunteers who made this place welcoming. They also organize events every day which is really nice. They clean the place all the time so I found it very clean and I used the kitchen every day to cook. It is very well organized. They have starlink and good wifi. Hot showers, surf boards and beach stuff for rent.
Hostel bien situé, staff très sympa. Les espaces communs sont propres. Les activités proposées sont nombreuses et chouettes. Seul petit bémol, l’espace pour étendre ses affaires mouillées qui devrait être réparé et ça serait top!
Hostel well located, very friendly staff. common areas are clean. activities offered are many and chooette. only little bump, space to spread your wet things that needs to be repaired and it would be top!

One of the best hostels I’ve been to!
Me and my friend absolutely loved our stay here! The volunteers / workers were so lovely and made us never want to leave. Lush location too and was always kept clean :) mucho amor , Christel y duna
Une super auberge très sociale où ils proposent des activités tous les jours. La cuisine est top, un espace autour de la piscine pour se poser et un rooftop où on peut voir le ciel étoilé ! Merci aussi au personnel vraiment adorable et surtout à Pat et Evelyne pour leur bonne humeur ! Seule petite remarque : ce serait bien qu’il y ait un espace fumeur dédié pour éviter de manger sur les tables où tout le monde fume
A super very social hostel where they offer activities every day. the kitchen is top notch, a space around the pool to lie down and a rooftop where you can see the starry sky ! thanks also to the really adorable staff and especially to Pat and Evelyne for their good mood ! just a small remark: it would be nice if there was a dedicated smoking area to avoid eating at tables where everyone else smokes
¡Un súper hostal en Sayulita! La cocina está bien equipada, las habitaciones, los baños y los aseos están limpios. El personal es muy atento y súper amable. Cada día se ofrecen varias actividades, se hacen amigos rápidamente y no quieren irse!
The kitchen is well equipped, the rooms, bathrooms and toilets are clean. the staff is very attentive and super friendly. every day they offer various activities, they make friends quickly and they don't want to leave!
Great spot to explore Sayulita from! Plenty of space to hang out. Loved the free boogie board borrow. Kitchen is a bit small for the number of people. The lock on the female dorm was faulty and one of the ceiling fans were really noisy at night, we kept it off but meant it was very hot. Overall great friendly vibes and the facilities were fine.

Muy bonitas instalaciones, super cómodo. Y lo que más me gustó es que tienen varios baños y regaderas. Lo único es que las literas no tienen cortina de privacidad.
Very nice facilities, super comfortable. and what i liked most is that they have several bathrooms and showers. the only thing is that the bunk beds do not have privacy curtain.
Great attention by the hostal crew. I made new great friends from all around the world. I will be happy to return.
This hostel became my family for 2 weeks in Sayulita. The owner, Sean, is super nice and the volunteers there are the best people I’ve met in the town. I would definitely go back to this hostel again and again. Love and miss you, Amazing Hostel 💙

This is a great hostel with a wonderful atmosphere. Nice people, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. I’m really glad I chose this hostel - I easily made great friends here :)
