Cinque Terre Holidays

Misleading place. Completely different location from what's given on the site. Only cash is taken in order to avoid tax. Views from the room are decent but the quality of the room was not upto the mark for the prices paid. Blankets and bed sheets were smelly, furniture in bad condition and bed bugs at night.

Roberto was very nice and upgraded us to a room with private bathroom. Fantastic view. Unfortunately it’s a far walk from check in. Cash only. Room felt very damp (it was also pouring) and did not have a good seal from the outside. Mattress was suspicious of bed bugs (not confirmed) so we ended up finding a new place in La Spezia. Door had cracks and was slightly open allowing bugs and a gecko in. Great place if you want to feel like you’re camping. Not the place if you want clean room.

Don't stay here, bed bugs, rude host, and no WiFi

BEWARE BED BUGS!!! Do not believe reviews on hostelworld. The owner was rude, and rooms/bathrooms were dirty. No lockers. Guests are asked to leave room keys in a bowl outside the rooms. Belongings don't feel safe and secure as anyone can walk in, grab a set of keys, and open the room. Owner makes you pay in cash and then cancels your booking after your stay, which prevents you from leaving a review on hostelworld. I received 30+ bites (in clusters) all over my body. Most likely bed bugs I wish I had read the Google reviews, rather than the reviews on hostelworld prior to my stay.

This hostel is affordable and functional first and foremost. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning. If you want to visit Cinque Terre but are traveling on a budget, I would recommend this place. Here are some drawbacks you may want to measure and decide if you want to pay more somewhere else to avoid: - No AC (to be expected, but worth mentioning) - The shower was incredibly small, other bathroom facilities worked well - Myself and my roommates woke up each morning with new bug bites - There was limited outlet space - Other reviews that mention a long walk up many hills and stairs are correct, it’s about 10 minutes walking to get down to the beach All of that said, the view, overall cleanliness, and location in Riomaggiore, combined with the low cost make this a great place to stay if you’re on a budget.

The rooms were fine but my bed had bed bugs. I woke up in the morning with bites all over. Plus no air conditioning and the fans were broken so hardly got any sleep.

Bed bugs!!! Don't stay here! Not worth the trouble of getting rid of all the bed bugs once you leave

Do NOT stay there. I paid 30€ for a shabby, unclean "hostel" with grumpy staff and the actual location is 100 stair steps uphill... plus there were bed bugs in one of our beds. I repeat do NOT stay there!

El dueño es una persona nada simpática, terrible su comportamiento, el piso está retirado y hay que subir como 10 min unas escaleras. La vista si es bien ( lo único) Por otro lado dormí solo 1 noche y fue suficiente para tener como 20 picaduras de chinches que aún hoy ( luego de 1 semana ) tengo las heridas, picaduras. vi el animal al llegar en la cama pero del cansancio decidí dormir la peor idea de mi vida!!! Ni se les ocurra dormir y reservar en este Hostel! EVITAR ESTE HOSTEL

We enjoyed our stay in the hostel at first. It wasn't awful; the owner was incredibly unprofessional but not rude, and the stairs didn't bother us. But then we discovered the bed bugs. Covered in itchy bites and put in a horrible position of possibly infecting every other hostel and airbnb we stay in for the rest of our trip. Don't even take the risk; just stay somewhere else!!!
