Be careful! Fake pictures!! The air conditioner it’s was broken! So dirty and old
Uraltes Hostel, die Steckdosen fallen aus der Wand, Schimmel an der Decke... Einfach nicht angenehm. Die Straße ist sehr laut!

No electric plug for all beds, no hot water.
Family who own it are lovely but only a stay for a last resort 1 night sort of hostel. Very uncomfortable mattresses just on the floor and only fans for aircon. The room is completely open as it is just the top floor in the hotel which didn’t make me feel the safest. But Booked very cheap transport to Railay for me!
Extrem runtergekommen, aber das schlimmste war einfach die Sauberkeit. Ich hatte Schuhabdrücke auf meinem Bettlaken. Als ich das bemängelt habe wurde mir erst unterstellt, ich habe das gemacht. Mach langer Diskussion wurde ein neues Laken geholt. Das voller Blutflecken usw. war. Ich habe ihr gesagt, dass das auch nicht sauber ist und sie hat gesagt ich muss dran riechen es ist sauber... Ich hab hier nicht die Nacht verbracht sonder dann ein neues Hotel genommen (gleicher Preis, super sauber)
I had Schuhabspuren on my bed sheet. When I had this defect it was first assumed that I did this. Mach langer Diskussion a new Sheet was brought. The one full of Bloodstains etc. was. I told her that this is not clean either and she said I must smell it it is clean... I haven't spent the night here without then taking a new hotel (same price, super clean)
The lady who runs the hostel is very nice, I had a private single room and it was a good size. The room is basic and certainly nothing fancy, the location is about a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre. Overall, I had a pleasant stay here but do think the price was quite steep for what I got (suppose this is happening all over Thailand in high season though).
It's ok for a short stay, had a private room which had no AC - soo hot, athmosphere was kind of weird, more like a hotel so don't expect meeting anyone but 7-eleven is close which is nice. It's ok for a night
All in all kann man dein pennen. Aber keine Betten nur Matratzen aber die Angestellten sind cool
All in all you can use a pen, but no beds, only mattresses, but the angels are cool.
I'd skip this one, the don't have fans, just 1 restroom for 2 floors. The area is shady and staff is below average.

I've stayed at this hostel several times over the years and keep returning when I come to Krabi. The hostess does a great job managing the hostel and makes guests feel very welcome. Hostel is well situated about a 10 min walk to the night market and river promenade.
The lady who runs the place is amazing! She was super sweet. She was great at recommending me places to go. The place is family run and has a real authentic vibe to the place. It was a great place for me to be alone for a while and decompress as I’ve been staying in lots of hostels. The only thing that ruined my experience was there was a rude American man interrupting my conversations with the host and being inappropriate with me. He says he stays here every year, he was always at reception.

Staying at Thaksin is a bit like staying over at grandma's: everything is a bit old en dusty but you immediately feel you are in good hands. Rainee the owner is super kind en concerned about all her guests. You can ask her almost anything! The rooms are spacious but old but if this doesn't matter to you I think it's a good and cheap place to stay. The night market is about 10 minutes walk. The road is a bit dark so maybe less suited for female solo travellers but I felt safe nevertheless :)
Lovely host
This lady is doing everything herself! Cleaning, check in, taxi service, arranging trips for guests. She works so hard and really loves what she does too! The building is old but it’s fine, there are plenty of fans to go around and the location is really convenient, the view from the top balcony is great!
The host is the nicest lady ever. I was sick for a couple of days and she took care of me. Also a very hard working woman . 🙏🏼
Vorab: Wahnsinnig süße Betreiberin!! Für 2-3 Nächte ist das Thaksin Grand Hostel vollkommen in Ordnung und zu empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind zwar in einem eher veralteten Zustand aber für uns zur Zwischenstation und vorallem für den Preis wirklich ausreichend. :)
Vorab: Madly sweet Operator!! for 2-3 nights the Thaksin Grand Hostel is completely in Ordnung and to be recommended. the rooms are in a rather vernacular condition but really sufficient for us to the stopover and especially for the price.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The location is good, as you can quickly reach the city centre and the pier on foot. If you want to take a day trip to the beaches, that's also easily possible. Previously, I had mainly stayed in hostels, so I enjoyed the peace and quiet for a change. The rooms are not brand new, but mine was clean. The bed was comfortable and not as hard as the ones I have slept on before. The owner is super nice, reliable and helpful and took care of everything.
I'm very happy with this hostel, and have stayed here several times over the years when in Krabi. The hostess is very gracious and helpful with any questions. A 15 minute walk, and you're at the Krabi night market. No problem with tours to the islands, as guests can be picked up directly at the hostel.
Inte vägguttag vid alla sängar. Utlovar frukt o tvål o duschcreme men det fanns bara tvål i duschen o ingen fruktskålar med frukt stod framställt. Ingen AC.. Dålig wifi på övervåningen i sovsalen. Det är dåligt med foton på Hosteln pga att det är väldigt slitet.
There was no way to get to all the beds. There was fruit or soap or shower cream but there was only soap in the shower or no fruit cups with fruit were set up. No AC.. Bad wifi upstairs in the living room. It's bad with the photography at the Hostel because it's very slippery.
Hele mooie kamers! we kijken naar de foto's en dachten we proberen het maar gewoon. we kwamen in een splinter nieuw gebouw met nieuwe kamers terecht. Gewoon een super hotel. Super schoon,vriendelijk personeel, mooie kamer, ruimte en schone badkamer. top! let niet op de foto's op hostelworld, het is echt beter!

A bit out of the way from the town centre. Not very social at all
I stayed here just one night before getting a bus to my next location and it did the job. Location is kind of out of the way. No privacy curtains or anything just beds in a room. The owner was very kind, helped me catch a songthaew the next morning.

The staff is very nice, but they have kind of a mold/fungus problem. There are some dark spots at some walls and you see they painted over some. I changed a room because of it and they were really embarrassed about it and wanted to help. The room i went in had also some overpainted areas, so i guess some rooms are affected.
The owner was very nice and accommodating.
I really enjoyed my stay at Thaksin. The lady is very nice and open to help you with anything, she even was so kind to get me a spare bed even though they were full and I mistakenly came on the wrong date. Thanks for everything I appreciate your help and kindness :)
