Tetebatu Hostel

Horrible hostel. Rooms are unbelievably dirty, the floor is covered in grime and gravel as if it hasn't been swept in weeks. There is hardly ever a member of staff on site, so I waited an hour to check in. The free breakfast isn't worth eating because the eggs are very over-salted and the pancakes are still raw and doughy inside. Would suggest going with a homestay instead for your visit to Tetebatu.

Propably the worst hostel I was at in Indonesia. the dorm has no doors so basically it is a big room. during my 3 night stay there were always hairs in the shower that no one cleaned. no AC in the rooms. my banana pancake in the morning had a hair in the dough. luckily it is at least possible to use the facilities of the bungalow area with a pool next door. I also have to say although I did not like the hostel, the travelers I've met there were a very nice.

Okay hostel to stay in Tetebatu. Don't expect much, it's really basic and not social. But it does the job

There was no sink and no staff. Didn’t get breakfast included & guests ended up leaving without paying since no one was there. The hostel only survives by using all the facilities of Sama sama next door. There is one big dorm even though the booking suggests it is individual 4 bed dorms. Tetebatu is lovely though and there is lots to see if you are staying a couple days.

Loved our stay here! Ari took really great care of us, we stayed for 5 days in rainy season and definitely got rained out a few times but it is so close to Monkey Forest, the Durian Indah waterfall and really great local Warungs so we still made the most of our stay. We got to do a local village tour to 3 different villages which we loved. We used the Sama Sama facilities too which was great. Loved free breakfast & the food at Ari’s family’s Warung.

Very lovely chill spot, I wasn’t here for long and it was off season, so it was very quiet but it was perfect for me to get back to nature after a few busy days

Sehr nette Unterkunft mit warmer Dusche. Man kann mit dem Inhaber schöne Wanderungen durch die Reisfelder und andere Ausflüge machen. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker.

Einfaches Hostel direkt im Jungle/Wald gelegen. Sehr schöne Natur und mit einem Roller ist auch alles gut zu erreichen. Die Betten waren bequem und hatten einen eigenen Vorhang. Leider waren die Fenster/Türen die ganze Nacht offen und deswegen sehr viele Tiere (laute Geckos) im Zimmer/Bad.

Un superbe hostel : chambre propre, hyper cocooning, au milieu de la "jungle". Je m'y suis sentie comme à la maison ! petit dej très correct ! le samedi soir il y avait une soirée musicale accompagnée d'un buffet c'était super conviviale! je recommande les yeux fermés

Great small hostel near centre of Tetebatu. Backs onto Sama Sama bungalows, where you are allowed to use their facilities (bar, pool etc.). Rooms are basic but do the job, though the bathrooms sometimes have issues (run out of water etc.). Hosts are friendly and helpful.

Charming spot in the middle of Tetebatu, beds were ok and dorm nothing flash but did the job for a few nights! Bathrooms could have been cleaner/more private lol, hot water a bit unreliable but a blessing to have after hiking Rinjani! Walking tour was fantastic, Tetebatu is a lovely area to walk around

Lovely small hostel, definitely not luxury but very comfortable and clean and in such a good location. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful. Hot showers too! In walking distance from lovely waterfalls, the monkey forest and great local warungs:)

The staff was incredibly sweet! The other backpackers were so nice and social. You can use the pool near by. We did the hike with the owner, Ross, he was great. Breakfast was amazing. If you are staying here, you have to try Zaeni’s restaurant near by. He is so sweet, the food is amazing and so cheap!
