Just Sleep Hostel Ltd

I'll start with positives, the guy who checked me in was outstanding ; polite, helpful and professional. The location is good, not far from the centre of Edinburgh and quite easy to find. In addition, the hostel is very cheap. On the downside, the dormitory was very crowded with 3 tier bunks. The noise from other guests snoring was frankly intolerable, this can't be blamed on the hostel directly, but it is at least in part due to putting so many people in one dormitory. Last of all, and this really is the responsibility and of the hostel - BED BUGS!!! I left covered in bites which are still itching days later. My advice, unless you're seriously short of cash, spend a few pounds more and go somewhere elsewhere.

No staff (late arrival by me), bed bug infested, faulty entrance keypad. Ended up "sleeping" on a small bench in the communal lobby!

We do not and cannot have bed bugs, these guests were reported for guest misconduct and have left this review maliciously. If we had bed bugs it would be all over our reviews, not just one guest. All our mattresses and bedding are brand new and our mattresses have anti bed bug protective coverings.

BED BUGS EVERYWHERE!!! Teriblle experiance! Room was not cleaned and smelled bad, the sheets were not changed with hair on every pillow, there was trash in the bin, with someone's socks in it, hair in every bed under every sheet, the floor was dirty with dust. In the morning we woke up bitten by bed bugs, saw them on the beds. We wrote to complain but the owner shot us down as "there are no bed bugs". On the phone She screamed at us and didn’t want to take any responsibility. Do not recommend, very unsanitary!!! Edit: When some of us wrote the comments about this, the owner send us a message and called us pathetic and idiots.

Bedbugs and terrible comunication

When we arrived the room was not cleaned, there was trash in the bin, including someone's socks, the sheets were not changed, we found hair in every bed on every pillow, the room was smelly, the floor was dirty with dust, hairs and trash everywhere, which, when you are sleeping 10 cm off the groung on the lowest bunk is not the greatest. In the morning there was another surprise - we woke up bitten by bed bugs, saw visible signs of them on the beds. When we wrote to complain the owner shot us down as "there are no bed bugs". Yeah, right. Do not recommend, not for the price, not the location, unless you like an infestation of your clothes and itching for the rest of your trip.
