Das Hostel war an für sich schön, aber viel viel zu heiss. Die Zimmer waren gross mit vielen Betten, die Fenster viel zu klein und es gab zu wenige Ventilatoren. Man konnte kaum schlafen, weil die Hitze es nicht zugelassen hat im August
The hostel was a nice one in itself, but much too hot. the rooms were gross with many beds, the windows were too small and there were too few fans. one could hardly sleep because the heat wouldn't allow it in august
Het hostel is schoon en netjes. De locatie is super en het gebouw ziet er fantastisch uit van de buitenkant. Van de binnenkant is het gebouw gedateerd. Er staan simpele stapelbedden in de slaapkamers, bij elke beweging gaat het bed heen en weer. Er zijn geen kluisjes op de kamer en weinig stopcontacten. De douches zijn redelijk schoon, het douchegordijn mag vervangen worden. Helaas kunnen de doucheruimtes alleen met een gordijntje worden afgesloten. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk!
The hostel is clean and tidy. The location is great and the building looks fantastic from the outside. From the inside the building is dated. There are simple stacked beds in the bedrooms, with every movement the bed goes back and forth. There are no lockers on the room and few plugs. The showers are fairly clean, the shower curtain can be replaced. Unfortunately the shower rooms can only be locked with a curtain. The staff is very friendly!
We had a good stay in a well organized hostel. Rooms were quite hot.
these hostels always filled with weird old people ,dirty people dont make their beds and lay on the mattresses and pillows without covers,dirty floors
L'ostello è in una posizione molto tranquilla. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. Non si organizzano eventi nè incontri nè gite. Parcheggio auto 10 CHF. Serve un condizionatore in camera/pompa di calore. (Il ventilatore non lo accende nessuno per non disturbare). Docce con la tenda, bagni abbastanza riservati, carta presente. Bellissimi i castelli li vicino! Non ci tornerei, soprattutto per non aver trovato nessuna compagnia per girare/esplorare. La prossima volta vado in hotel...
The hostel is in a very quiet location. The staff is friendly and helpful. They don't organize events or meetings or trips. Car parking 10 CHF. Serves a room air conditioner/heat pump. (The fan is not turned on by anyone so as not to disturb). Shower with tent, bathrooms reserved enough, present card. Bellissimi i castelli li vicino! I wouldn't go back, especially for not having found any company to tour/explore. Next time I'll go to the hotel.
Je suis globalement satisfait de mon séjour à l'auberge de jeunesse de Bellinzona Ostello Montebello. L'auberge est très bien située dans la ville de Bellinzona, et assez bien située par rapport à Lugano à environ 25 min de train + 15 min de marche. La gare est à 15 min de marche ou 5 min de bus, tout comme Coop et Migros (supermarchés). Cependant il n'y avait pas d'ambiance et les autres occupants très peu sociables, mais l'auberge et les lits étaient propres et le personnel tr�...
Overall I am satisfied with my stay at Bellinzona's youth hostel Ostello Montebello.The hostel is very well located in the town of Bellinzona, and quite well located compared to Lugano at about 25 min by train + 15 min walk.The train station is 15 min walk or 5 min by bus, just like Coop et Migros (supermarkets).However there was no atmosphere and the other occupants were very unsociable, but the hostel and the clean beds were very welcoming and the staff very friendly!
Das Hostel ist eine für die Schweiz günstige Möglichkeit um in der Stadt zu übernachten. Es war leider nicht immer alles sauber und einiges auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. die Lage dagegen ist sehr gut. Auch zum Parken war es geschickt.
The hostel is a cheap option for the Swiss to stay in the city. unfortunately it was not always clean and some even got a little old over the years. the location is very good. it was also good for parking.
tolle Lage, super schönes Hostel. Leider war ich ganz alleine im Frauen-Dorm, das war ein wenig unheimlich. Generell wenig Möglichkeit zum socialising.
I was in a very nice hostel, but unfortunately I was all alone in the women's dormitory, which was a little creepy.
Good value for the price. Location is good, staff is very nice and breakfast is also quite good (all you can eat). The building needs renovation but its still ok if you're not very picky. Could be cleaner but it's not that bad.
Perfekte Lage. Typische JuHe, also kein hippes Hostel. Aber tippitoppi geführt, blitzsauber und mit großem Fahrradkeller.

The hostel is situated about a 15 minutes walk away from the train station and was nice and clean. The building is enormous and my room felt spacious. The team was also very kind.
Haus, Frühstück, sanitäre Anlagen, Mitarbeiter und Lage sind super. Das einzige, was nervt, sind die in direkter Nachbarschaft vorbeifahrenden Züge, die man bei offenem Fenster auch mit Ohrstöpseln hört. Aber geschlossene Fenster sind bei 15° Tiefsttemperatur und 10er- Zimmer keine Lösung....
The only thing that was annoying are the passing trains in the immediate vicinity, which you hear at the open window also with Ohrstöpseln. but closed windows are at 15° Tiefsttemperatur and 10er- Zimmer Haus keine Lösung....

What a fantastic place. It’s about a 15minute walk from the train station but only a few minutes from the bus. Fantastic views from the social areas.

Very calm and well-maintained hostel in a beautiful XIX-century building. I’m also convinced Bellinzona is one of Switzerland’s best kept secrets!
