Bath YMCA

The facilities were disgusting... I don't think my sheets were actually clean, and the bathrooms were very unclean. I don't think they were cleaned at all.

Reservé un dorm compartido, olía muy mal, oscuro sin ventilacion y las personas (todos hombres) no parecían viajeros. Los huespedes no traen equipaje mas que unas bolsas lo cual me hizo dudar y sentir insegura. Pedi al recepcionista cambiar de habitación a una femenina y no me cobró la diferencia. Deberian mejorar la limpie...

Sh!t 💩 stained pants were on the bathroom floor when we checked in. P!ss all over the floor too. It’s clear than the cleaning is not up to scratch. Carnage in the corridor in the middle of the night when someone got attacked. Do not stay here.

I stayed at YMCA and left with a disappointing experience. On checkout, I was a couple of hours late, but I apologized and asked them to deduct the extra amount. Despite paying, a receptionist was rude and even banned me from returning. Later, when my roommate misplaced a key (later found and returned), money was wrongly taken from my card, and I was unfairly blamed. The only positive was Akosh, who was kind and professional, but overall my experience was disheartening. Never returning to YMCA..

The bathrooms were revoltingly filthy, and the mattresses were really disgusting, and the rooms were exceptionally hot - a tiny room with 12 bunks in 20m² with one small fan in 30+° heat is almost laughable. The reception staff were lovely, and the location is excellent :)

The stinkiest hostel in Bath

The room was way too hot, still had the rubbish and bedding from the previous guests in when I entered. I asked for new bedding and was not given pillow cases. The staff did not seem bothered by any of this or particularly worried about helping to rectify it. I can't speak to facilities as I only stayed one night. The location is great and it was relatively quiet throughout the night. I know this because I barley slept. I will not be staying again.

very dirty

The beds and sheets were dirty and the flushes didn’t work. There were 9 lockers in a dorm for 18 and they didn’t work. A staff member told me that a continental breakfast was included. It was toast and cereal with only dairy milk.

Clean room, bed and linen . Cute little breaky . Bathrooms definitely need work but it was a comfortable stay . The staff were really helpful and let me hold my bags while I explored the city for £2 all day .

Bit disappointed as have been in lots of city hostels and this one was poor. Window was broken so it was open all night, could hear shouting and music from outside. Lamp was broken, toilets were due a much deeper clean. When we arrived our unmade beds had hair on one, and on another some sort of encrusted stain on the mattress protector. If you have any access requirements, no matter how minimal, be advised that there are a lot of stairs here. I think there were rooms on the ground floor.

the Hungarian man at the desk was really lovely and helped me with my bags up the stairs which was so helpful and nice!! the kitchen had everything you needed which was great, and the beds had curtains which was amazing. the charging ports kept not working though which was really annoying, but the staff were always happy to help out. there was nothing special about the place, wasn't social at all, but it did the job and overall was pretty good!

Great value accomodation. Rooms could do with better soundproofing ( minor complaint ) Staff excellent and helpful.

Perfect for what we needed. A place to sleep and keep our things while we explored the city. As a bonus, we were very impressed with the comfort, I.e. bedding, clean facilities, WiFi and warm welcome.

Staff and location were amazing. Amenities looked and felt unclean. Dissapointed with noise levels outside till 3.00 am. Not everyone is there to party

Really enjoyed my stay again. Excellent location Have stayed here last three times I've visited the Bath/Devizes area. Staff always very helpful.

Bathrooms were very dirty, Lockes way to small to fit in the luggage

Lovely, central, friendly, fun space to stay. Love the front garden and the staff are so welcoming.

Good location, really friendly staff, really wish the showers and bathrooms were cleaned properly and the dorms were also dirty with rubbish from previous guests just left there

I want so badly to be able to give a 5 star review simply for the staff alone. Specifically the very tall guy (sorry I don’t remember your name!) — he is so friendly, kind and accommodating. But the cleanliness of the showers and the fact that a few things were out of order/not working properly upon arrival prevents me from doing so (also bit of a smell in some parts) 7.5/10 for me, but I liked it well enough to consider for a future stay. Bath is beautiful & happy to have a bed to sleep in!...
