Hotel Locanda Ca' Foscari

Location was good. Check-in was fine, I called the number and was received politely by helpful staff. There was a yellow extreme heat warning, but no fan was supplied to our room on the first night. I felt dangerously overheated and got up dozens of times to splash water on myself. On the second day we met the cleaners who reallocated a fan from another room and the second night was much better. There were no bed bugs as previous reviewers complained, however there were a lot of mosquitos and it feels like it would not be too hard to put a net on the window which would improve the experience more than 20% at little cost.

The best thing about the hotel is the location; the bed was quite comfortable and pleasant. When we arrived, the room and bed were clean, and there were no bed bugs or other insects (which is often the case in 1-star hotels). The hotel is perfect if you travel in the summer, but not in the winter. The downside was that there was no heating, Wi-Fi, or hot water. If you go in the summer it's fine because it's very hot, but we went in November, it was freezing cold, and there was no heating to warm up or hot water for showers. There was no Wi-Fi either, but that wasn't a big deal.

BEDBUGS!!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Great spot to stay in Venice. It is an old rustic hotel right in the center of Venice. I think it is a good value for what you get and pay for. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were old like in the photos. But the bathroom and showers were super clean and the bed sheets were clean as well. I had no issues with bed bugs or anything like that. I do think they could modernize the rooms a little bit, but its fine for a few days stay.

Bed Bugs :(

Bed bugs!! Stayed in room 11 for three nights which was a mistake. Got bed bugs bites everywhere. Also, the electrics went out three times during our stay. Sure, the location was good and it was cheap but it wasn't worth it, stay somewhere else!!
