El Mural Hostel

Was very uncomfortable. the kitchen was under construction and there are no restaurants near by so finding food was quite the ordeal.

We were only here one night but the staff we encountered were not very helpful, the rooftop not very social (but is a nice space). It’s an ok place but we probably would try and stay closer to town. There’s hardly anywhere to eat or get water close by. Bit of a weird vibe.

Was a great property. only issue is they decided to spray the entire property for dengue and no one told me and my friends this was happening. We came back from a day out to nap and was woken up to the building literally being fumigated while we were inside. Overall just make sure this is not happening during your trip and the rest will be fine!

Nice hostel with big rooftop terrace for hanging out. I was there in the weekend, 4 nights in total. No social activities from the hostel, bar only open the Saturday I was there. Bathrooms cleaned frequently with soap. Kitchen was big and kind of clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is okay when you get to know the local area around. They have a tourbook w. suggestions for what to do yourself and tour companies. Went rafting which was fun!

Wow! I had such a lovely experience staying here. The murals throughout the facility are so beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the rooftop level overlooking the city was just the cherry on top. 10/10 I would definitely come back.

Top of the world. I love my stay at mural 💛

I'll start with the good points: it's located in a calm place compared to the rest of the city, it's clean and safe. They opened to me at 5am in the morning because the bus from Chachapoyas comes so early, which is appreciable However, expect a duo that was here on my first night, the people at the front desk are so unwelcoming. Not a smile and it feels like we're bothering all the time. Not a good moment

Super hostel pour visiter Tarapoto ! Il n’y avait pas grand monde lorsque j’y suis allé mais j’ai beaucoup apprécier le calme justement. Coup de cœur sur la terrasse avec les dizaines d’œuvres sur les murs

We stayed for two nights in the private room which was generally clean but I wished for some higher standards in the private bath room. The common area on the roof top is chill and nice to do some exercises in the morning. The hostel is located along a dirt road and you pay 4-5 soles by motorbike to go to the center.

Limpio, amplio, tranquilo. Recomendable 100%

A very good place to stay if you want to discover the city while discovering people from all around the world. Very cleaned and organised (I love the terrace!) for the minimum price 👍
