K's House Hakone

Really nice hostel! Very pretty views and has an onsen which you can use until 1am! The lounge area is beautiful and zen, good kitchen facilities It is up a pretty steep hill! You also make your own bed. Felt a little iffy abt having to put a sheet between me and the duvet- makes it seem that the duvet isn’t washed after each use The bed space is a little small but was comfy. Not the most social, but found people to talk to

Excellent hostel. About a 10 minute stroll from Hakone town but perfectly located on a bus line to begin exploring the loop. Staff give great recommendations. The kitchen is spotless, as is the beautiful and relaxing common area. The onsen was also great. Would highly recommend.

Really nice common area - ended up meeting some nice people. Liked the pods and the onsen. Definitely get the bus up the hill!

Very very steep uphill climb which is a killer, but the onsen was great. The view was fantastic too.

The common areas of this hostel are really nice, useful and super clean. The outdoor onsen in particular- so pretty! It’s a bit of a hike up the hill and the price is not the cheapest but for the area it’s the best deal! The beds/futons were comfy with a thick pad!

Hostel had great facilities (onsen on site!) and friendly helpful staff. We booked a dorm cubicle but would have preferred a private room (all booked out). Dorm system well designed and managed. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the male dormitory for one night. The capsule was good nothing special. But the bathroom on that floor smells terrible and it‘s really unclean. The showers smell the same.

My favourite K’s house so far! Very nice pod style beds and great view from the deck. Definitely a great place to stay in Hakone when you’re on a budget!!

Super clean , very comfortable dorms, great showers and toilets. Great shared facilities such as the onsen, lounge, and kitchen. 10/10 on these sections. The location wasn’t as great though, being a little far from Mt Fuji’s viewpoints. There weren’t any supermarkets in town, and it took a little while to get to the main road every day. The location was a 7/10 in my opinion. Overall, it was a great experience, and even though for a dorm it was a little expensive, I would go again.

The team here are so friendly. The outside onsen was lovely and the hostel had great recommendations for walks.

The Hostel was clean, tidy and fully equipped with everything you need including a comfortable common space. The Onsen is really special and the hostel provides great views. The sleeping pods are cosy, comfortable and have plugs for you to charge your things. I lost my phone at a service station which got handed into the Starbucks who agreed to post it to the hostel. Great hostel to relax and explore a slower side of Japan. Hostel is conviently located in Hakone to see the sights or get around the area. The Ibsen’s are very relaxing and of the 4 times I went only once did I share it with anyone

I really loved my stay here. The Onsen were such a treat. I was in disbelief that the stay was so cheap for what this place offers. The only down side is it’s about 10-15 mins away from town, and is up quite the hill. I personally didn’t mind. It wasn’t that big of a deal. However I can see others not loving it. But if you love daily exercise like me, you would love this lol

I enjoyed my stay here. The indoor and outdoor onsens were great to relax at night. Dorms were clean and beds were comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again.

Insgesamt einfach toll. Das Hostel liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, aber zu Fuß trotzdem noch gut erreichbar. Der Honsen ist unglaublich, Zimmer super sauber. Küche und Wohnzimmer sauber und toll ausgestattet. Danke!

A very chilled out hostel which was for me the perfect vibe for Hakone. All the amenities were fantastic, including it's own onsen! I only used it briefly once as I was using the public onsens mostly. But it was such a nice addition to have such easy access to an onsen on the hostel property. The only negative really is that it's up a big hill. Wasn't a major issue but just something to note.

I was the only one in the onsen each time. the beds were super comfy and black out curtains were amazing. would highly recommend

This was a wonderful Hostel - amazing location, brilliant kitchen & common room and the amazing staff and onsen. Hot, freshly brewed coffee each morning, the outdoor onsen experience and the amazing Hakone! We will be back!

The nicest hostel I stayed in on my trip to Japan. Very good value for money. Clean and comfortable with indoor and outdoor onsen. I recommend getting the bus from the station if you have heavy bags as the road up is steep. The communal lounge and kitchen are well equipped and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Wonderful! I wish I was still there. If I can, I would definitly go there another time woth friends

Our family had a wonderful stay at K’s House. Beautiful and serene… we enjoyed the traditional style rooms very much. Walking distance to the train station for our excursions. The onsen is an added bonus. Highly recommend 😊👍

Excellent place to stay in Hakone if you’re solo traveling. Nice and clean accommodations and friendly staff. Fun location with many likeminded travelers so it is easy to meet people and explore.

Great spot up the hill. The only downside is that buses stop running early, so you would have to walk back to the hostel on a steep slope, but I didn't mind it too much. Clean facilities, spacious bedding, and very comfortable as well. I am glad I stayed here, and it was worth the trip.

Onsen are great, especially the outdoor one. Beds very comfortable and private (shared dorm). Everyone was very quiet and private, not very social while I was there, but the socializing areas were very big and comfortable so it was probably just the nature of the guests who were staying there while I was there.

I stayed at K’s House for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff were so helpful, giving great advice about buses and trains for my sightseeing. The hostel was very clean, peaceful, had spacious beds, and had amazing kitchen facilities with free tea and coffee. The views from the balcony were beautiful too. I accidentally left an AirPod behind, and they kindly posted it to my next hostel - truly going above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here!
