Avoid this hostel at all costs! I booked 3 nights but left after 2. No sleep with music until 4am, rats in the rooms, bedbugs, cold showers and thieves. I left a bag in their “secure” storage and came back to find my chocolate destroyed (by rats) and my expensive perfume missing. Staff pretended to be surprised and offered no help. Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in — don’t make the same mistake! Do yourself a favor: spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

There was bed bugs and I was bitten several times. The water would run out several times during the day. However the staff are lovely, it’s right next to a beach club and the beach.

No reception at night meaning they couldn’t help with bed bugs complaint. Not the only group who had nowhere to sleep because of this.

Lei varias reseñas antes de mi estancia informando de problemas de chinches ( bed bugs), Yo estuve en una habitación privada y puedo decir que por 5 dias no tuve en ningun momento ese problema. La habitación me parecio comoda, solo lo califico 4 estrellas de 5 porque las almohadas eran duras y no habia agua caliente en la ducha de mi habitación, pero para mi eso solo son detalles menos importantes. This place is riddled with bed bugs… it’s not clean, and I had the most uncomfortable time here. I did complain in the middle of the night where the staff then proceeded to change us rooms, there were 8 of us experiencing this in the same night. So the staff were nice and did help

Bed bugs!!! Please be warned that there are bed bugs here. The room we stayed in wasn’t all that great but it’s good enough to stay for a couple nights. However, we emailed them about finding bed bugs in our beds and they never got back to us. Not worth the risk at all you’re better off really looking into places that have reviews with no bed bug complaints. If you get them they’re a pain to get rid of! It’s a shame because it was such a lovely atmosphere but the cleanliness was appalling.

Overall an okay hostel. Only boiled water for cooking, 1h walk from town and taxi ride from the airport. Stayed in pod beds the first night, didn’t feel particularly clean. I would not want to look down the side of the mattress! Second night moved to a larger dorm, where we found a bed bug on the bed. Quickly booked elsewhere. Staff asked us why we were leaving and didn’t seem particularly surprised when we told them. Helped us find a taxi - seemingly to get rid of us as quick as possible!

BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE!! This place is riddled with bedbugs I even saw them for myself! Also came back from a night out to find someone sleeping in mine and my friend’s bed so they had double booked. No refund was issued and no urgency. I love Fiji but hostels just do not work here.

Amazing staff offering great activities. We got to make coconut rings (no extra cost) and attend a cava ceremony at night. Close to many restaurants. We had a couple bed bugs (didn’t bite us luckily) and saw other travellers who got eaten by them. Otherwise decent place to stay for a night but don’t recommend for a long stay if you are just wanting to relax

You guys please please please take this as your sign to not book here. If there is one time to treat yourself, it is here because this was the worst hostel I’ve ever ever stayed at. When I was booking my hostel for Nadi, I read all of the bad reviews for here and I was like “oh well it’s only one night so I’ll just power through.” But NO, I wanted to cry when I got there because everything was sooo grim. The beds were bad, the bathroom was bad, the whole night I was TERRIFIED of getting bed bugs

While the atmosphere was nice and the staff kind and friendly, I got severely bitted by bed bugs and this has ruined my following trip to the Fijian islands. I got about 70 bites in total 😫🤢🤢🤢 please avoid this place

Bed bugs. Do not book!Shortly before going to bed we realised that we had bedbugs in our bed. We then asked the staff if we could change the bed. They then gave us a new room, but again with bedbugs. Then we complained again and they said there was nothing they could do. We spent the night outside on a plastic bed with no sleep. They reacted as if they knew the problem but did nothing about it.

Good first and last stop to anchor your trip. Cleanliness and bed bugs are issues unfortunately. Staff is very nice.

BED BUGS ALERT! Unfortunately I had bed bugs in the dorm upstairs, which messed up my trip a little bit... The staff is very nice and you meet lots of nice people at the hostel and around Wailoaloa, but the bed bugs are not worth it :(

I would not recommend it. The hostel is not clean at all, you nearly to not want to touch kitchen staff and some rooms have bed bugs. The rooms have no air condition.

BEDBUGS… Say no more surely, but I will. Don’t stay in Nadi, there’s nothing there, it’s not beautiful either. Dirt gets walked in everywhere, bed bugs, uncomfortable hostel in general. Not much of a vibe going on. After encountering bedbugs the staff did move us to an available room, the anxiety had already set in though. Staff friendly, lacking activities without a taxi. Fiji is suited to the islands and not on budget, every cheap accommodation has bed bugs. Avoid rainy season.

Never write reviews but feel this deserves one. Bamboo is one of few hostels near the airport and many people stay here for a night before and night after going to the Yasawa Islands. For that purpose, this place is just ok. Many people I met in the Yasawas said they got bed bugs from this place, luckily I didn’t. Staff shows little to no hospitality. Truly a bare bones place. Not going to say don’t stay here, but know you get nothing but a bed and basically unusable beach.

My friend and I had a private room - in our second night we discovered bad bugs. Eventhough we got a new room, we were scared to sleep in the beds because other traveler had the same problem. There’s nothing to do in Nadi, but it’s a good place before your flight. One of the only good thing is that there are some nice and cheap restaurants around the hostel. I also liked the beach club across the street. All in all i would not recommend staying there - bc bedbugs are a serious issue.

This please deserves a zero star! I had bed bugs that woke me up at 2am. Instead of a refund, staff offered to washout my clothes for me only to learn some of my clothes are missing. I’ve emailed the management and they refuse to get back. The amount of mosquitos and flies is unbelievable. Do your self a favor and stay far from this place.

I was in the 6 bed dorm and there were definitely bed bugs, i was absolutely covered in bites two days after leaving, apart from that staff were nice

Friendly atmosphere but got some seriously bad case of bedbugs from here. Also there was no lock/key access for the dorm door (which was right at the front of the property) and we got no check-in so had to figure out everything ourselves about the facilities

Originally I booked at Bamboo Beach but when we arrived to check in we ended up to stay at Bluewater lodge which is next to Bamboo. The pool was in renovation so we couldn’t enjoy it. Really happy to have the air co in the dorms. No bed bugs. Bed pretty comfortable. But there was nothing to do in that place. Also the pictures shown a pool with the view on the beach but the beach is not there it’s way further. It’s also quite far from Nadi center. But a supermarket close to it and restaurants are

There were bed bugs found our first night. We didn’t stay our second night and canceled our booking there later on to stay somewhere else instead. The bed bugs weren’t found on our bed but we ended up taking them to our next location. All they offered about the bed bugs was to change the sheets

unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay here as I found bed bugs in my bed, and heard the same from many other travelers who stayed in different rooms than i did, so they must be everywhere. They moved me to a different hostel across the street which was nice.
