Be aware that they might cancel your reservation last minute!! My bed was cancelled by the hostel at 4 p.m. the day before arrival due to an „overbooking issue“. Why they just realize this be then is an absolute mystery to me. I‘m really upset with their communication procedure as well. I just got the automated hostelworld e-mail that my trip is cancelled, the hostel didn‘t even bother to contact me personally or apologize. Stranger Tides cancelled our reservation on the morning of our arrival date, without sending an email or a phone call. After we called a few times, it turns out they had overbooked and decided to cancel our reservation (which we booked through Hostelworld over a month ago). Very disappointed that they couldn't have told us they did not have space back when we booked, rather than leaving us scrambling to find last minute accommodation.

Said it was 24hr reception on hostel world but wasn’t. When we arrived we were locked out. Uncontactable to anyone for help

I got weird vibes at this place. I don’t get the 9,8 rating. The hostel was a bit too far to walk to the city center and old town and bus station

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Quite a nice guy. The bathroom could be more clean, but it was okay. We will come again.

Nice typical hostel with nice yard. Friendly and helpful family staff and a 🐈. Good option of accommodation: dorm or single / double room. Option to eat and drink there. A bit far away from Kotor city center (50min walk by the lake, with a beautiful view) or 6€ for a taxi. Very nice decoration of the room, mattress a bit hard.

The first time that I've stayed in a UNESCO protected Hostel...very friendly staff, clean, calm, relaxed Social area, view of the sea from dorm bed, directly at the bay - what else do you need?

One of the best hostels I've ever been to! Incredible environment, wonderful view and the owner is a sweet person! Rooms are nice and clean! highly recommend!

I recommend this very nice place as accommodation in Montenegro. Very helpful and nice hosts, clear rooms and well equipped kitchen. Additionally the hostel is located directly on the coast, so you can jump to the see in every moment. A great place!

Sandra was such a great host. Stranger Tides Hostel on Dubrota, just in the outskirts of Kotor, is a fantastic hostel. It is right on the water, which makes for the perfect opportunity to swim the minute you wake up in the morning. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. The shared kitchen was spacious, and has everything you need. Sandra had great recommendations from the minute we arrived, and was able to help us with everything we needed. The hostel is in a quiet area...
