Second Station Hostel

Lovely hostel with great owners! The breakfast included was lovely and freshly made. Really conveniently located- right next to the train station. Only critique is that the 8 bed dorm is virtually a 14 bed dorm due to no door between them. Thanks for a great stay!!

Sehr sauberes und schön gestaltetes Hostel. Super Hosts, die morgens frisches Frühstück zubereiten. ruhig gelegen (außer den Zügen, die vorbei fahren), aber dennoch gut mit Bus und Bahn angebunden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Goed hostel voor trips naar Bled en Bohinj. Het hostel zit een paar km buiten Bled, rustig gelegen en met gratis parkeerplaats. De eigenaren zijn erg aardig en maken een lekker ontbijtje. Het is (gelukkig) geen party hostel, meer stijlvol en voor reizigers. In de gezamenlijke ruimte maak je makkelijk contact. Ook geschikt als je niet meer in de ‘20 bent.

I enjoyed my stay so much and would recommend to anybody for a visit to the Bled and Bohinj region without the crowds and close to nature. You can walk/hike to lake Bled and otherwise easily take the bus or train to make day trips. For the hostel itself the hosts created such a beautiful place and welcoming atmosphere. Also I think this has a positive effect on how people socialize with each other - I had some very good conversations with all kinds of travellers at any age.

Sehr schönes kleines Hostel, dass etwas außerhalb liegt. Dafür gibt es keine richtige Küche mit guter Ausstattung und morgens machen die Besitzer Frühstück mal mit gutem selbst gemachten Brot oder Pfannkuchen.

Such a beautiful hostel in a convenient and cute location. A 2 minute walk from Bohinjska Bela train and bus station. The hosts are so kind and helpful; they offered to take us to the near train station if our early train didnt come. Free shuttle buses to lake bled are very convenient!!!!! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you :)

My favourite hostel I've ever stayed at! Such a beautiful place with a lovely social, calm atmosphere. Loved the breakfast and the hosts were amazingly helpful! It's further from lake Bled than the others but that just adds to its tranquil charm. Wish I'd had time to extend my stay here, can defs recommend!

Our group recently had the pleasure of staying in this charming hostel near Lake Bled, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The hostel's location couldn't be more perfect, situated in a picturesque area about 5km from Lake Bled. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. The hostel offered a variety of options served by the ever helpful and welcoming Marko and Vanessa. I would recommend this hostel

Had a wonderful stay here!! Easy to do day trips to popular locations but also enjoyed running or hiking the nearby forest roads and trails. Other guests were also very friendly and I really enjoyed all gathering around the wood stove on a chilly rainy day that we had. Super clean and loved the breakfast every day. Would love to come back.

Such a beautiful hostel. Great location, amazingly well connected to public transport (hourly busses in two directions, only on Sunday & holidays a bit less but still very regular, also a train to the border with Northern Italy!), wonderful homemade breakfast, warm hosts (thank you Marko and Natasja), enough privacy in your bed in the dorm, very clean. The fireplace was a big plus in the beginning of May. I stayed for 6 nights and it was perfect. Will probably return someday.

Nataša and Marko are such lovely hosts and this hostel is wonderful. The bed was super comfy, we had breakfast made for us each morning, they even helped us out with a lift when we got stuck and were super helpful with navigating the train and bus systems. Everyone who we stayed with was lovely and super friendly :) 10/10!

Endroit hors du temps, parfait pour ressentir l’ambiance de Bled, c’était apaisant et la vue est magnifique. L’auberge est joliment décorée, très propre et on s’y sent comme chez soi. Le gérant est très sympa et met vite à l’aise. Comptez ~15 min en bus pour rejoindre le centre. Petit bémol : il manque un rideau aux lits pour plus d’intimité.

Parfectly cosy hostel, lovely host, woukd stay again

We are in the “older” age group so not your regular hostel users but this place was superb. The decor was amazing, the place super clean & had everything you could need. The showers are better than most 5star hotels for power & warmth but best of all was the host Marko, his ability to let you treat his place as your own immediately made you feel at ease & his breakfasts are legendary. Fresh homemade produce use to make the most delicious food to start the day off perfectly as you chat away!

Amazing place! Marko is a wonderful host. He prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the interior design—wow! If you love mid-century style, this is definitely the place to be. It’s also easy to reach by bus. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Really enjoyed the stay here, everyone was super lovely, easy to connect while having breakfast or cooking. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and super clean. Never had such a nice breakfast at a hostel before, on our first morning Marko made Kaiserschmarrn for everyone, amazing. Loved every minute of our stay.:)

Had a lovely time stay at this hostel for 3 nights. Everything was well kept and super clean. The beds are comfy and plenty of privacy in your bunk. The common area is super cool with an old vintage feel. Looks like the photos. Would definitely go back

This place has an almost magical touch to it. Hard to put a finger on. The surroundings are stunning and very peaceful. I stayed for a week and enjoyed it immensely. It really helped my mind relax. I've only met nice people here. Marko, the owner, was one of them. Just a genuinely hospitable host and a very nice person. Amazing Hostel and so cute! I loved my stay there and Marko the host was very nice,helpful and made an amazing breakfast every morning! It is a quiet Hostel but I enjoyed that, it's perfect for nature lovers. I would recommend to have a car or bike though but this is just more comfortable for me you could also easily go by bus to most places or take a taxi which is cheap. I would love to go there again one day and stay a bit longer! Ah one thing, they have the most amazing showers😍

This was an incredible experience because of the hospitality of Marko — he made a homemade breakfast every morning, and even drove us to our second hotel during our stay. He had a wash and fold laundry service if you asked, and was super knowledgeable about the area. The hostel itself was a great in between Lake Bled and Bohinj, which made it perfect for exploring the area!

Clear instructions how to access this location on the property page. Perfect location between Bled (6 min by bus) and Bohinj to see the lakes. Right next to a train stop and bus stop. It was very clean with comfortable beds. The host is amazing and very accommodating. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Bring rain jacket.

Wahrscheinlich das beste Hostel in dem ich je war! Die Hosts sind super nett, schöne Zimmer, alles war sauber, das Frühstück war sehr lecker und genug Platz zum parken gibt es auch. Es ist ein sehr soziales Hostel, man lernt einander dort schnell kennen und findet Anschluss. Ich hab die Atmosphäre dort geliebt und komme definitiv wieder, denn so wirklich gehen wollten weder ich, noch eine/r der Anderen :) Wenn bei eurer Ankunft keiner da ist, ruft einfach Marko an (Nummer auf dem Tisch).

I booked four nights here after reading all the good reviews of people wishing they stayed longer and definitely agree. The location was perfect. Buses from Kranj/Ljubljana will take you directly to the Bohinjska Bela vojašnica bus stop, and the hostel is only a minute walk from the stop. It’s outside the crowds of Bled in a quiet little town with amazing views. There’s a grocery store about a 20-minute walk away (or 3-minute bus ride), and also a restaurant across the street. I rarely giving 5⭐️ review, but here is necessary. Macos hostel is the best hostel where i have been. Its sutch a housewarming place and you feel like at home, it beautiful with old quality retro furniture, and all the think are super clean, there is bit kitchen and you get nice breakfast and something Marco bake for tenets a cake for morning. I felt that im at my ancles house, and he hosting you as a guest. I dindnt felt that worm and safe at any hostel before. Its 8 min with the busy from ...

I was recommended to stay here after hearing from someone that this was the best hostel they’ve ever stayed in. It lived up to the hype! I arrived and immediately felt calm and at home. It’s super clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, the other guests are likeminded. Was very easy to get to bled (walk, bus or train) but great to be out of the tourist centre. Marko made a delicious homemade breakfast every morning. I tried to extend my stay but it was too booked up :(
