have timer, the breakfast it's look more like a jail whith terrible quality of food and its rationed. Old iron beds like the army, If some one move in the bed every thing move. Be ready to wake up at the middle of the night with this shakes. My room was in front of the street and its f*** noise. But the most annoying thing happen to me was the fact of been denied to make one of this cold showers. It's a beach place people definitely , if the have time, the will enjoy the the laft time enjoying t
The place is clean and well located. Prices are very high for what you get, which is a very basic hostel experience, especially if considered what other hostels across the rest of the country offer (crammed toilets, old showers, broken reading lights in the rooms, no shelves or lockers, etc.). It feels rather impersonal. Breakfast is included but basic. Unfortunately Tavira is an expensive place with limited budget options and this hostel is taking advantage of the situation.
The staff was amazing, but that’s about it. The atmosphere is completely dead, the kitchen is barely functional and dirty. The common room feels like a hotel lobby. Works for a overnight stay, but do not recommend or travelers and backpackers looking for good atmosphere and fun people
disappointing
Place was okay, but not a connecting vibe . Bed wash really noise. But good breakfast.
Odd one this…..fabulous location, great staff, beautifully clean and unlimited breakfast included. Lockers don’t lock. Only 2 plug sockets (in unhelpful positions in the room) in a 4 bed dorm. No lock on female only bathroom, shower curtains m (not lockable doors) in showers. Felt as though a man could enter at any point. No curtains on bunks. Stairlift not working. Communal fridge filthy and rusty. Seems to be the only hostel in Tavira so no other choice but to stay here if visiting.
Overall an okay experience. Its not really a hostel more a hotel so there is noone social. Mostly drunk 60 year old women and some strange people but not really for the usual backpackers (18-30). Breakfast was amazing though!! The kitchen didnt really work. There was an common room but like i said only with older people. If ur coming with someone else and you have other things planned really nice but not for solo backpackers. Would not recommend the dorms.
one fridge between 40 plus people staying in the hostel is unacceptable. some people were practically living in that hostel so they owned that fridge. other than that all the basics were good enough. clean showers and toilet. rooms were OK. nice lounge area. staff had a hands off approach. the breakfast was nice. tavira is beautiful and this hostel was just a roof over my head. mamany travellers there so meeting like minded people was easy. just another 2 fridges would of been nice. that is all.
Staff was friendly and location was good other then loud construction in the area. The rooms was and linen not clean, bathroom dirty with cold shower, no plug in outlets for upper bunk, bed uncomfortable and bunk was very shaky and could feel everything your roommate was doing, upper terrace was unwelcoming and the vibe from the visitors was non existant. The price was inexpensive and thats about the only good thing about the place. Laundry out of order and kitchen was dirty.
de bedden kraken enorm en waggelen. Er zijn grote kasten voor je spullen wat een grote plus is. Niet echt een hostelvibe, kamers waren klein. Alles was heel proper, dat was goed.
The beds crack enormously and sway. there are large cabinets for your stuff which is a big plus. not really a hostel vibe, the rooms were small. everything was very proper, that was good.

Top locatie midden centrum.
Top location in the middle of the city centre.
tolles Hostel zum "nur" schlafen. Frühstück war ganz gut aber Küche etwas spärlich bestückt.
The breakfast was very good but the kitchen was a little sparse.
Wonderfull place to stay. Very calm. Not for partying.
I have often visited the Tavira inn and I have always felt at home. very welcoming and kind staff, impeccable cleanliness, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. the location is excellent between the station and the city center. the quality ratio to price very good.

I had a great stay here and a few lovely conversations with the women at reception. They were eager to provide recommendations and just chat. My only issue is that the closets in the rooms don’t lock, but they offer a secure room downstairs if you need
Good: Clean place, good free breakfast, large room, nice staff, good location Bad: No locks on lockers, no curtains on bed, not every bad has dedicated power outlet, very dead atmosphere, shower water has button which only lasts 3 seconds making showering a pain
I have been several times during the last 4 years to the Pousada de juventude de Tavira and I have always felt very well, and it has always been a pleasure to stay here. The quality to price ratio is excellent The generous staff ready to respond to all your needs The excellent location I have quoted the pousada in my book A zonzo for Portugal at stracciati prices
Probably it was just my time that people weren't gathering in living area, which made me bit off, and I noticed but older people are also staying in dormitory thats also makes difference like young travellers coming in one place. That's the only thing u missed it which hostel has no control in it too however their facilities are absolutely there like pool and sitting area with TV even.
One night stay here midweek. Lots of older residents and not a lot of craic to be had but did the job nicely. Nice balcony in room.
Solid accomadation, my bed didnt have a power outlet

The hostel was ok. People were nice and the location is good, but the athmosphere in the rooms wasn’t the best. Most residents are in the older side. You don’t have lockers nor outlets next to your bed and the kitchen is ok at best.
First time staying in a hostel, the staff are very attentive and engaging with guest, didn’t expect the breakfast, met some wonderful and interesting people, talking until very late at night. It’s not a party place lots of matured people and couple over the weekend, it’s quiet, relaxing and aircon too. Excellent location. I stayed a week wish I could have stayed longer.
always great place to stay. very central with breakfast included. the rooms have been upgraded since i last visited
Good place but not social
Amazing beautiful staff. Fantastic location. Thank you!!!
Really enjoyed our stay here. It was a perfect location, and excellent value for money. As I was travelling with my mum, I did like that there were other families there, and also a lot of older single travellers or couples/friends, so I didn’t feel out of place. The inclusive breakfast was great, the outside terrace was lovely. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway for a good price, this is it. For younger travellers looking for good social events and to party, this may not be the vibe.
