   Have lived with Hosteller at more than 20+ properties Atleast. Hands down this is the worst property ever in terms of staff. The management is pathetic! The staff is utterly shameful. They change and make policy rules by themselves with whatever suits them with lies and fabrication. Sonu seemed like a decent women trying brash severely under pressure. The staff was indecent. They literally slapped somebody who was a guest infront of me, his name was Mukul, I’m not sure. They killed the vibe, not at all welcoming. Tameez nahi bilkul. One guy was intimidating me, and sadly, I avoid brash encounters plus I’m not at a backpacker hostel with my ego. I accepted the non-welcomeness and left. They said they’d be having basic meds. But they didn’t even had it. The night time manager jokingly said, staff khata hai. Sadly, I didnt go out to buy myself as they assured and later had to sleep with a headache. I read low reviews here before going, ai thought hosteller Mai aise thodi hota hai. Low reviews and ratings kya, and i ignored them. But these guys made sure that I’m the one putting one in here lol. Then I moved to another hosteller at upper tapovan where I’ve stayed before and that hostel felt like family specifically Ajay Rana Ji, what a guy.

   UPDATE AS PER THE ANSWER BELOW: Hosteller keeps giving false information and answers to real big issues such as the ones discribed below. The 8000 IRP upgrade is a plain lie, and other issues we describe are minimalised in order to not pay a refund for a night we cancelled (at 9.45 AM), because our experience was so bad we couldn't stay another night. Hosteller only answers us after we post reviews and can't be reached for any complaints/refund requests. We have travelled in over 40 countries and never had such a bad experience. Please avoid and save your money. We booked the room with Ganges view based on the room pictures on the site. When we arrived they gave us a room on the first floor with only a view on the shed on the opposite side of the street (this hostel is not next to river). The staff argued with us for 20 mins saying "the shed looks like the river on the picture, but if you zoom in well, you could have been able to see it is a shed". Not only is this incorrect, this is also the most ridiculous explanation, basically admitted to consumer fraud. Hostel is located in a secluded area which is only connected to the city via a bridge which is not open yet. There is a boatservice which stops at 6pm, meaning there is no way to go into/out of the city after this time. We had the bad luck of being in the city after 6 (we were not informed by the hostel). A broken toilet and bad smell in the bathroom and hours of time wasted arguing with staff made us decide to leave. Turns out, at hosteler there is noone who can take responsibility on giving a refund, all you can do is send them an email and hope for the best. I used hosteler twice in a row and really want to like this chain, yet twice I eas disappointed. Will never use again.

   amazinggg hostel and nobody has asked me to write this review so this honest. I traveled solo for 3 days and I was expecting a peaceful trip and this hostel just gave me exactly what I wanted! Amazing common areas with very beautiful view. Staff is very helpful and the rooms are very clean and hygienic as well. Highly recommended! Very good and convenient location as well
