Happy Inn Lodge

Pros: great location, the beds were made and comfortable, enough bathrooms, there are outlets next to each bed. Cons: black mold in showers, no lounge for hostel guests, expensive, VERY LOUD lockers and the floor was also very loud. If someone was walking around the room to go to the bathroom or leave for their train in the morning, it would def wake you up.

don't stay here if you need a good night's sleep. our stay at this hostel was great except for one massive thing - we could not sleep due to the music from the bar downstairs. this was a big deal for us as we were getting up early for hikes etc so we needed to be asleep around 11pm latest. unfortunately the music didn't end until a few hours after this. I read other reviews saying they couldn't hear the music from the rooms so we must have been unlucky and gotten one directly above the speakers.

Rude staff.. staff forgot to leave my key in the locker outside the hostel because I checked in in early..I had to wait outside the hostel in cold for 30 min and had to waste another 1-2 hours to figure out what to do without the room & hostel key.

Es un bar realmente no un hostal, el propietario un señor calvo grande de lentes, es una presona racista la cual atiende unicamente a los locales. Decidi tomar una cerveza y se la pedi educadamente a él, para lo cual respondio. No obtendras una cerveza por parte mía, busca a alguien mas, estoy muy ocupado, cuando a otros locales le servia todo lo que pedian. El desayuno es de risa, es regalarles 10 Euros, no vale la pena. No recomiendo este hostal.

한국 분들 제발 여기 오지 마세요... 1층이 식당인데 환기가 하나도 안되고, 온 건물 방 전체가 그냥 다 식당 같다고 보시면 돼요. 2인실인데도 그닥 깨끗하지도 않고, 공용 샤워실, 화장실 쓰는 소리가 개인방까지 다 들려요. 차라리 관광객 득실거리는 인터라켄 말고 벵겐이나 라우터브루넨 쪽으로 알아보시는 것도 좋습니다.

connect to a bar with no door separating the hostel from any random person walking in. The floors were so squeaky, the doors slammed loudly, the walls were thin so u could hear people in rooms nextdoor. The light always timed out if u were in the shower and only one shower actually worked well. Most of the lockers in the room were broken. Quite gross overall.

Great location most the staff were good except one staff member was very rude and charged us extra costs on a spare plate he gave us without us asking for it. When I went to pay before showing us a bill he pushed the efpos machine to my phone. I asked for the bill first. The bill showed extra costs, when we asked about the extra costs politely he was very rude and angry about it.

Unfreundlich, überteuert und nicht funktionierendes Wasser.

La habitacion no tenia aire acondicionado por lo cual habian 40 grados dentro, si abrias la ventana entraba el humo y olor de la cocina. Ademas muy desproporcional el rango etario, nuevamente me encontre con personas mayores (entre 50 y 60 años) que no entendien las normas de convivencia en una habitacion compartida, generalmente entraban borrachos y hacian mucho ruido no solo al entrar sino al dormir, cosa que afecta a los demas que estan durmiendo alli. No volveria nunca

There is no stove or oven, so you can’t basically cook anything. There is only a microwave and a fridge in the ”kitchen”. The description was very misleading and they basically lie about having cooking facilities. Rooms and showers were clean. We noticed that some of the staff were really stressed which affected the atmosphere and also brought a negative feeling to our mood. Maybe consider hiring enough staff for busy hours to make sure both the staff and customers are doing well.

Lovvvved my stay here. Such a beautiful location, great staff, great common area, very clean. Good for meeting friends. Would 100% stay again !!

Clean and Comfortable

Our stay in Interlaken was very good .The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location for the train station and shops. It had everything as listed. We would definitely recommend!!

The beds were nice and our room was a 6 person but with only 3 for the night, was nice and quiet and clean. Sink in the dorm was helpful. Showers and bathrooms were clean as well as shared spaces like kitchen, lots of room in the fridges, the only thing I didn’t like was the shower pressure was horrible but other than that great, right next to the train station as well.

The location was great and the place was very clean, but none of the lockers in my dorm actually locked (Me and the other guests all brought several locks, the issue was with the lockers themselves) and the showers and outlets were pretty janky. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, this place works fine, but if you plan to be spending a significant amount of time in your room I would opt for elsewhere.

Great place to stay, very near Interlaken West train station.

The staff were so friendly here and the bathrooms were always super clean. I recommend eating at the restaurant downstairs for a night too! They offer one free towel which was super nice as well.

Such a great hostel! Super close to the train station and grocery store and public transit is very accessible around Interlaken and neighboring towns. The staff were so kind and the hostel was incredibly clean. The dorms are on the tighter side and no privacy curtains but I would still recommend staying here as a home base while in Interlaken.

Amazing location 5⭐️ Amazing wait staff & also special shoutout to the cleaners , they started their cleaning routine at 6am in the morning 🌅 Amazing energy & vibes. If kitchen has cooking stove, even better !

Happy Inn Lodge was great! The staff was super nice, and it was really nice to have a place to store your luggage before you checked in for free. The facilities were overall very clean. My only problem was only one of the showers was working properly. The bedrooms were good; I wish there were more big lockers in the room because the small ones that were left did not fit my bag. Overall great place to stay!

Great location! Great price for Switzerland. The staff were super lovely too. There’s a bar down below but it’s technically not connected to the hostel… so there are usually people there every night having dinner/drinks. Only major concern was mold in the showers! Other than that- this hostel provides all you need in such a beautiful place!

The rooms are really small. Bar downstairs is a vibe but it’s technically not part of the hostel so you have to eat in the kitchen that isn’t very cozy or good for hanging out on rainy days. No stove. Staff were great! Not built for social/solo travel

Great place!

okayish property.

Good location, easy to get around Interlaken and neighbouring towns. The kitchen was also great! The bathrooms were very clean but the water would often switch randomly between cold and hot while showering in all the shower stalls I used. The beds are comfy but the lockers were extremely small - none of the girls in my room could fit their bags or packs in there, so a lot of floor space was taken up by packing cubes, half unpacked bags and other random items that couldn’t fit into the lockers.

Great place to stay! Super lovely location and was a pleasant walk to other places and things to do, we only stayed for two days and we couldn't have picked a better place. It was clean, staff was friendly, and there was never a problem. They even let us store our backpacks after checkout until our delayed train finally arrived. We absolutely loved staying here and it seems to be great for friends, couples, and even families. Beautiful location!
