Ofek's Place - Midtowm

Ik laat nooit reviews achter, maar dit moest. Bij aankomst kon ik niet inchecken, ondanks dat ik vooraf via WhatsApp had aangekondigd dat ik kwam. Na 30 min wachten belde ik: ik moest een uur wachten of weggaan. Toen ik vroeg naar mijn bed nummer, kreeg ik agressieve spraakberichten en zij hij dat ik weg moet. Uiteindelijk heb ik hem geblokkeerd. Andere hostel zei dat ze vaker klachten over deze plek horen. Zeer onprofessioneel.

Not recommended. Because: There is no staff on location at all. All via Whats App. This results in weird, drunk people hanging around the place. Loud music at 1:30 am. No one cares. I ended up in a not lookable room, better said: the key is stored visible next to the door. Doesn't feel secure. The place stinks heavily of perfume which they might use to overcome the stench other people described before me. At least better than before i guess. Good sides: Top Location, quite clean!

in the basement of building in old not historical part of Tel Aviv. 1300 new Israeli shekels for 17 nights for 1 bed in room with 12 beds is very expensive.

So, there are hostels and there are guesthouses with dormitories; this is like a small guesthouse, very nice, with the usual assortment of longterm local residents who are also very nice. It is located in a basement so while it is quite luxurious and spotlessly clean, with good facilities, WiFi, a microwave oven, excellent bathrooms, there's no relaxing in front of a window looking out on the lovely trees fluttering in the sunshine or anything, which is alright -- just saying. Still excellent.

Because I did NOT look carefully at the address it took me a long time to find 72 Herzl Tel Aviv. Fellow travellers are decent folk as are those we contact by WiFi there I prefer to stay out of the expensive areas of cities...and EVERYONE I HAVE MET HERE IN THE HERZL ST area and in fact in the whole of Tel Aviv has been WONDERFUL I LOVE the location.

The place was clean and the Customer service was excellent.

I had an excellent stay at a hostel. The location was perfect, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

The hostel is located in a very central location and it is easy to get anywhere. The experience itself was amazing, it starts with the welcome and the design of the place and the shared space. The place had everything I needed, a kitchen, televisions and even a Sony, I recommend everyone to come to the place.

Like this place a lot. Very comfortable and nice. Lockers for every visitor. Free coffee and tea. AM PM (24/7 shop) is right across the street. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff is really nice) Highly recommend 👍🏻

Great stay as always. My go-to hostel in Tlv. Location is great for restos n cafes and only a 15 min walk to the beach. Clean, secure. Wifi in the ensuite female dorm isn’t the strongest. Could be fixed w an extender! Thanks, Ofek!

Ofek is a great host. He is very friendly and received us with a nice smile. He gave us all the information we needed and even offered some cookies. The hostel is very comfortable with a nice lounge area and a little kitchenette, and the room we stayed in was nice. There was a really nice atmosphere. We definitely recommend Ofek's place.
