Meet Gardalake Hostel

This is a great hostel to stay at when visiting lake Garda. It's close to the train station and the lake. The service is pretty good too. The bathrooms were clean and there is a large social area on the ground floor where it was possible to meet new people easily which was great. As others noted, the beds aren't the most comfortable but they are still decent, there were no bed bugs and the whole place felt clean and safe.

I’m writing this review because tbh i was a bit scared after seeing the previous ones, and on my way to the hostel. So, my experience is that the hostel is very much ok. I stayed in a 8 bed dorm, and the mattresses were ok, the sheets were clean and there was a blanket. No bed bugs were found (but there are lots of insects in Garda Lake so if you’re sensitive to them, bring some repellent). You can get a towel for €2, and a padlock for your locker if you forgot yours. Overall good value for your money.

Percevejos!! Muitos deles. Informei ao gerente sobre a situação e foram ao quarto com alguns produtos, mas não adiantou nada. Acordei na segunda noite com um monte deles na cama. Fui picado nas pernas, barriga e pescoço. Pedi meu dinheiro de volta e se recusaram dando uma desculpa qualquer. O gerente é sem educação, parece que estamos fazendo favor a ele. Tem fotos dos percevejos e do sangue após mata-los.

This hostel was really promising with a lovely downstairs area and a clean dorm with two balconies and a toilet and separate shower! Unfortunately, we did have bed bugs here. I woke up to find them crawling on the wall and after a quick look found them hiding in the wallpaper above the bunks. The staff were really nice about it, immediately calling someone to clean the room and our bags, and gave us a refund as we chose to stay elsewhere. Nice place, just check your beds prior to sleeping!

Sadly I can t give a great review even I would love to. The place is beautiful, the people nice, the rooms... Simple but not bad for the price. But I was devoured by bed bugs. I m allergic and my body reacts strongly and directly when I m bitten. I felt it during the night, took quickly my phone and saw three of them running as quick as they could. I sadly couldn t take a picture but in a few hours I would be covered by red buttons all around my hands, legs, etc... Some of them are already visible. I took all my cloths and stuffs, put them in a plastic bag, closed it, took a hot shower, hopefully all my other bags and cloths were in my car so I changed in the street. And for sure I could tell to the night service guy who was really nice. Clearing this means they LL have to close the hostel. I m not sure they will do it. Anyway, I can t give a good review in the actual state.

Das Frühstück war für 3€ billig, aber bestand nur aus Toast, Marmelade und Müsli und Säften. Alles sehr einfach und billige Qualität. Nachts war es sehr laut und die Leute im Zimmer waren auch zu laut. Eines der Betten hatte laut meiner Zimmernachbarin Bettwanzen und es waren viele Schüler dort.
