El hostal está bien y muy bien ubicado. Aunque el aseo, los servicios y el ambiente dejan mucho que desear. No reciben tarjeta de crédito, anuncian parqueadero disponible pero realmente no tienen, la cocina tiene horario limitado y las habitaciones quedan en los últimos pisos sin ascensor.
The hostel is well and very well located. although the toilet, services and atmosphere leave much to be desired. they do not receive credit cards, advertise parking available but really do not have, the kitchen has limited hours and the rooms are left on the last floors without a lift.
Está muy lejos de todo, el sitio no está nada limpio y los servicios que tiene el hostel son demasiado deficientes. No tiene ascensor. Solo se aceptan pagos en metálico (no tienen tarjeta) y todo lo del hostel es MUY caro. No le doy un 0 porque la chica de la recepción fue agradable. Tanto para llegar al hostel como para irme, tuve que coger TAXI y UBER porque estaba muy lejos de todos los lados.
It is far away from everything, the site is not clean at all and the services the hostel has are too poor. It has no elevator. They only accept cash payments (they don't have a card) and everything in the hostel is VERY expensive. I don't give it a 0 because the receptionist was nice. Both to get to the hostel and to leave, I had to take TAXI and UBER because it was so far away from everywhere.
I would not recommend staying here. It is cash only which means taking money out of the ATM and getting charged obscene rates. Also, the location is too far away from Taormina and you will be too reliant on the bus to get anywhere worth going. Naxos is nice enough but has a totally different feel and vibe (much younger). The hostel feels more like a hotel than a friendly hostel, atmosphere is not great. There are better hostels.
Worst hostel i have ever been to! Super dirty and completely over priced. When i talked to the staff about it i got totally offended by them.

They try to s*** you into saying they’re Cash only. It is somewhat illegal to be cash only in Italy. When I said they replied in other reviews saying they’re not, I had to wait 3 days as they held my passport to get them to use a card reader after much complaints. Got woken up at 7 am from construction noises right outside my room. No lockers in rooms and did nothing when I complained. We booked this hostel because of the high rating. Sadly our expectations wasn’t met. We booked a 6 beed room but got a cramped 3 bed room which was in the size of a 2 bed. The room was in quite the need of a restoration. And the bathroom was disgusting. The location is close to the beach but the whole town feels very touristy. Some of the staff were amazing and some didn’t really seem to care at all. Good thing about the hostel is they have a lot of activities to do.
Hostel is quite far from Taormina, the bus stops are also around 10-15 minute walk to reach. There isn’t much socialising and the kitchen is very basic. Beds are quite hard and squeaky.
Not an overall good experience. I did sleep in the private rooms but had to climb 4 floors. Bed was OK. Not great deal for the money.

Amazing hostel - clean rooms and bathrooms, good kitchen, coffee in the mornings, and incredible rooftop with a view of the sea and Mt Etna. The beach is about a 15 minute walk, and there's are lots of bars and restaurants along the waterfront. Gianni is an extremely friendly and kind host, he's very invested in making sure every guest enjoys their stay. Don't miss this place if you're coming to Sicily!

Excellent Location: Bus stop directly in front of the Hostel, Beach & Shopping facilities within easy reach. Secret tip: definitely try the super delicious and best Cannollo von Pasticeria Casablanca, directly at the Bus stop. Me sentí muy cómoda y segura en Gianni House. El hostel queda muy cerca de la estación de autobús y hay una playa muy bonita cerca. El staff es muy generoso y dispuesto a resolver cualquier inconveniente. La terraza es muy bonita y está disponible todo el año❤️
I felt very comfortable and safe in Gianni House. the hostel is very close to the bus station and there is a very nice beach nearby. the staff is very generous and willing to solve any inconvenience. the terrace is very nice and available all year round❤️
Great location with beach near by and Toarmina just a short bus away! Well equipped kitchen and clean comfortable bed. Friendly staff too :) I recommend it!
Great Place
I stayed in Gianni House for two nights in February. I was warmly welcomed by the owner Gianni! When I first arrived at the hostel, it was very late and I went to the wrong train station. Gianni came to pick me up and enthusiastically introduced the local delicacies and sightseeing routes to me at such a late hour. Although winter is the off-season, fortunately the weather was fine during my stay. Taormina and Naxos are really beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Hope to come back in summer!
Ho avuto un’esperienza meravigliosa al Gianni House. Era la mia prima volta: sono rimasta due giorni e Gianni è stato una persona super generosa, sempre molto comunicativa e attenta ad ogni dettaglio. L’ostello è spettacolare, mi sono divertito tantissimo e le viste sono incredibili. Mi è piaciuto talmente tanto che sono tornato una seconda volta per passare qui l’ultima notte del mio viaggio. Consigliatissimo!
I had a wonderful experience at Gianni House. it was my first time: I stayed two days and Gianni was a super generous person, always very communicative and attentive to every detail. the hostel is spectacular, I had so much fun and the views are incredible. i liked it so much that i came back a second time to spend here the last night of my trip. recommended!
Extremely positive experience, staff was very nice and there was a ton of information on the front desk for the best local food, things to do in Taormina and the location was very nice near the beach and only a 15 minute walk to the metro. Nothing but good things to say, stayed at other hostels in Sicily that don't show near this kind of hospitality, highly recommend
I had such a great stay here! The staff were super friendly and always happy to help with recommendations or just chat. The place was clean, cozy, and had a really relaxed vibe.
Keep in mind this hostel is NOT in Taormina. When I was there it was completely dead. The other “city” (Naxos) that you get to explore it’s sleepy and not much to do. The beds were ok. En-suite bathroom was nice.
I had a fabulous time staying at Gianni House! The hostel is clean with a spacious kitchen and well equipped for cooking on site. There is also a very comfortable common area where you can easily spend lots of time! All staff were friendly and was a lovely atmosphere to relax in :) I would come back again!
Cheap hostel next to Taormina
I had such a great stay at Gianni House! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and always available to chat or help with anything. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach, and surrounded by some fun local options!
Had an amazing two-night stay in Gianni House. Can definetly recommend a breakfast on the rooftop terrace, with views at both the sea and the Etna. Many thanks to Alejandro and Diego for all the tips about local places that we could not miss during our time here. The atmosphere among guests and volunteers was really cozy and made me feel like having a small home away from home. Can definetly recommend this hostel to any backpackers passing through the area.
Von Bahnhof Alcantara 30 Minuten zu Fuss, besser mit Bus nach Bahnhof Taormina-Giardini. Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hostel. Mitarbeiter nicht so gut, er wusste nicht einmal, ob es Schliessfächer in den Zimmern hat. Boden sehr dreckig, Badezimmer okay. Betten eher hart.
From the Alcantara train station 30 minutes to Fuss, better by bus to Taormina-Giardini train station. Bus stop directly in front of the hostel. Staff not so good, he didn't even know, ob es Schliessfächer in den Zimmern hat. Floor very dirty, Bathroom okay. Betten rather hard.
Gianni House is a great place in a really good location. Close to the ocean, shops and restaurants and a short bus ride away from Taormina, Catania and even the Gole dell'Alcantara. Worth the visit for sure!

Sweet Hostel, very good for a few days to relax and to spend some time at the beach, which is realy close! The Volunteers were really sweet and the beds very comfortable for a hostel.
The staff were super friendly and invited me to join them at dinners which was a nice touch. Had a ton of recommendations and helped me whenever needed, would definitely stay here again! Location was perfect, close to everything but not too close as to avoid all of the noise if wanting to have a quieter night.
