I booked this place because was a 25 min walk from the old town but I regretted it the moment I entered. The Villa is run buy a family and they have never cleaned the place. The bathroom have loads of mould and they smell so bad. I was afraid to touch anything. The kitchen was terrible and almost afraid to use it. Rs down in the terrace in a place where the have out all the stuff that’s they don’t need but don’t want to throw away. The cookies the lady gives are supermarket biscuits so don...
Not clean.
Hostel a little dirty with webs, dirt and bugs in various places. more than a hostel it is a family house. the service was really good!! but the place itself leaves much to be desired regarding its image and cleanliness. there was no atmosphere or communication between the guests.
The cleanliness is bad, dust on the bed frames, window sills and floors are dirty. The bathrooms are musty, no real ventilation. There is stuff (gawdy, out of season decor), junky furniture all around the house and outside space. The hostess Dolores was nice and kindhearted but even though it was a mixed dorm (mostly girls) her husband would just walk in the room unannounced. This is most definitely NOT worth the $50+ charge.
Its only the view from the hostel that's nice and they've kept it clean too. Except for that, the location is pretty far from the old town, theres no supermarket or food takeaways nearby. The host can get pretty mean at times and there's literally no facility. No kitchen/fridge/dryer etc
The hosts at Villa Banana were very sweet and even greeted me with crepes and juice. Unfortunately, the pictures are much nicer than the place actually is. I found it to be messy, the bathroom was really dirty, the kitchen was not very functional and cabinets were breaking. There is also a very limited number of outlets in the rooms which was inconvenient when sharing a room with 4 other people. There were no lockers or a safe spaces to keep valuable items.
La ubicación esta buena por la vista hermosa pero hay que subir una cantidad de escaleras impresionante, no se puede dimensionar.
The owners were absolutely lovely! However this place is very dirty. I felt grossed out showering here. No lockers, smells of cigarette smoke, kitchen is dirty/breaking. I feel bad writing this because they were so kind. But it was just unfortunately not kept in the best shape.
Overall very cute and friendly. Security is poor
nice place, great staff. but unfortunately no kitchen. no hostel atmosphere

The most amazing stay!! Felt like home away from home! Everything was super seamless and Dolores was always around if you needed anything! Very close to old town and other locations:) would very much recommend to anyone staying in Dubrovnik!!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Banana. Delores was amazing and her and her husband were very kind and lovely, helping us with directions and recommendations and some lovely conversation. It would have been helpful to have a bin inside the washroom for women to discard sanitary napkins and tampons instead of having to carry it out of the bathroom. The terrace had amazing views of the town and was a great spot for some beers watching the sun set!
Very nice hostel, the owners are lovely and helped me getting the hitchhiking equipment I needed to get to my next stop, so that was amazing :) Do account for at least a 25 minute walk to the old city from here and a good hike up the hill back!
I had a great stay here with great hosts, very accommodating and friendly, I will be booking here again for my next trip.
Dolores and the rest of the staff are incredibly kind and generous and did their very best to meet all my requests. I made a mistake with the booking but they let me stay an extra night and wait for my flight in the hostel after check out as I was ill. The bunk beds are comfortable, sheets and towels are provided and you can also get extra ones if you need any. Everything in the rooms and bathrooms worked fine. There’s a basic kitchen with a cooker, tables and chairs in a nice patio. Hvala!
Dolores - the best host ever!!!! Thank you so much for everything ❤️
Amazing stay! Delores is a fantastic host who was flexible and incredibly kind (offering cookies and juice upon arrival). The hostel is very clean and orderly. Would love to stay here again

(8,3). En verdad quede satisfecha. ☺️
It has a very nice view, very nice hosts, hospitable. everything is very safe. to get to the city it is about 20 minutes walk. the climb is a bit tiring on foot. but there are buses that pass very close, so it's fine. (8,3). really stay satisfied. ☺️
Great service, nice and hospitable hosts. Made our stay great! Will return if I can!
Very good accomodations and a great location with beautyfull view of the city! We could see the whole of Dubrovnik from our room! The hosts were kind, the room was clean. If we ever visit Dubrovnik again, we will definitely return to Villa Banana 🍌

Love love love this hostel!!! The owners were soooo nice and always had cold juice and biscuits ready for us when we arrive 😍😍😍 The view from my balcony was amazing as well, best place to see the sunset 🫶🫶🫶
Fantastic host, extremely helpful and friendly, the property is clean but there are a lot of traveler’s coming and going so keeping up with that is no easy task so don’t expect the savoy, it is clean well daily. It is quite a hill to climb to get there but upon arrival I was given cold water, cold juice and biscuits and a shady spot to relax! Great host and the balcony gives one of the best views in Dubrovnik! Must see a must stay
Beautiful place loads of potential, just needs more cleaning and a spruce up, also all the way up the side of the mountain so a but of a trek but had a very nice time there

We loved our stay. Good location from the old town and east walk back although somewhat uphill. View from the terrace in stunning and well worth the walk. House is a bit difficult to find -it’s the blue one you need to walk through the chained driveway and down some stairs to check in. The hosts are so friendly but speak little English
Took a while to check in as couldn’t find any of the staff but the hostel it self was just what i was looking for; a quiet and relaxing place to take a well needed few days break from backpacking. Once finally checked in was given pancakes and juice which was cool.
