Very disappointing stay due to WiFi issues. Couldn’t connect for almost 5 hours on both phone and laptop, but staff insisted it were my devices until others had the same problem. Staff changed settings on my phone (some without permission), causing loss of data. No option to check out early or get compensation. No cutlerly or plates in the common room and only 2 working spots in the whole hostel... Only nice things were the beds and the design of the rooms

Okay for 1 night, wasn't very social. But can be if you're there at the right time with the right people. Has good food options and a supermarket right infront of the hostel.

Only one bed has curtains. The AC blows in the upper beds. No shelf’s on the beds but personal lights. The room and bathroom wasn’t cleaned once during my 2days of staying. Friendly and helpful staff. The doors are poorly soundproofed. During the stay there was a party on the rooftop and as the room is one floor below you could feel and hear the music a little bit like the traffic trough the windows. Actually a nice stay which needs a little bit more care.

I was overcharged by the property (paid the deposit though HostelWorld) then was still charged the full amount upon check in. After travelling to Sri Lanka I didn’t think to check at the time. When I bought it up with the man at reception the following morning, he just laughed and asked why I paid extra and did nothing to sort it out even though I showed proof that I overpaid, told me to email their accounts team and gave a fake email. Other than that nice bed but very quiet hostel.

The property is stunning— the rooftop of phenomenal. Yummy food too. The rooms are very comfortable with crisp A/C, heavy comforters and privacy curtains. Not very social which I didn’t mind since I was extremely jet lagged. My only caveat which was disappointing were the bathrooms. I was there for 2 days and our bathroom was never cleaned. The front desk said they only clean every 3 days? We had to ask for toilet paper daily. The staff was wonderful, but the bathrooms should be cleaned dail...

Super clean and contemporary, very spacious rooms with big en suite toilet/shower, AC and comfy beds with curtains, lights and all that jazz. Amazing rooftop with a nice restaurant/bar. Not very social but functional and luxure feel.

Sesaya is a hotel where the service, both at the reception and in the restaurant, is impeccable. The food is good, and the beds as well as the bedding are very comfortable. However, my main concern would be the level of cleanliness in the rooms. During my three-day stay, the floors were not cleaned on any day. SeSaya is stylish and modern with comfy beds, soft linens, a relaxing rooftop, and a sleek design (minus hallway rugs). The bistro serves great but pricey food with few options for vegans/vegetarians/lactose-free. Staff are warm and helpful. Major issues: very slow WiFi (1mb/s), leaks, musty smell, slow maintenance, and inconsistent housekeeping. More hotel than hostel—no kitchen, social vibe, or vending water. Secure but finicky lockers. Location is 4km from sights, easy by Uber.

This was my 2nd stay here and it's such a perfect hostel! The beds are beyond comfortable, and come with the thickest duvet. The room is HUGE and also has a whole table and couch in the room. The A/C is also crisp, the showers have hot water and the rooms are very clean. And the restaurant up top is so delicious! The entire staff is FANTASTIC. It's a bit far from downtown Colombo but the bus stop is right outside and quick 30min drive into the chaos.

The place is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The staff were really kind and welcoming. However, it feels more like a place to stay for a good night’s rest rather than a social hostel. If you’re travelling solo and looking to meet people, it might not be the most sociable spot. That said, it’s very nice, very clean, and quite new — it almost feels like a hotel

A great stay for one night. Very very clean. The beds are the comfiest hostel beds I have ever stayed in. This wasn’t at all a social hostel for us. The staff were amazing. A great stay in Colombo

Staff were very friendly and the bed itself was clean but the rest of our room and bathroom were quite dirty when we arrived.

Hostel had super comfy and clean beds. However, the hostel is situated on a main road so is busy and noisy. The rooms are small and the top bunk lockers are next to the bed? This is not a social hostel and is very quiet. The common room is small and had a funky smell to it. No toilet roll in the bathrooms and had to ask staff twice to get some. However, it is good for a stop over after a long flight.

This is a hotel and a hostel, and I actually went back after first staying for two nights in the hotel, which was gorgeous and incredible value for the price. Then I went back and stayed in the hostel, which was also gorgeous and great value both aspects of the accommodations and the entire building are brand new and fabulous.. the restaurant on the roof is stunning and the food is so so good. The service was wonderful from the front desk staff to the fabulous manager Bannu! Do it!

One of the BEST BEST hostel in COlombo. Just a drawback as it is far from the main Area.

The poshtel does justice to it's name, really nice property with dorm room having separate washroom and a sitting area as well. The lockers are huge and have numbered locks for convenience. Common area does not have any utensils just a microwave and kettle. There is rooftop bistro incase looking for food options.

Great place with attentive staff. The dorms were super spacious and clean, with a little lounging area inside. I would stay here again!

Dorm in einem Hotel. Etwas klein aber sehr schön. Steckdose und Licht am Bett. Kleines Sofa im Raum. Lockers im Raum. Rooftop bar. Bad am Zimmer aber mit drei abgetrennten Türen was sehr praktisch war. Wenn man Colombo Sightseeingtour machen will vielleicht etwas abgelegen.

Location is quite far out from the main city - quite cheap in a tuktuk. Only issue is that the traffic during rush hour is very bad so this might make getting to/leaving the hotel take a lot longer. Rooms were really nice, beds comfy and security lockers had lots of room for bags. There were quite a lot of older people in my dorm staying there for work so wasn’t the most social. As long as you’re happy being quite far out of the city then it is nice for a night or two.
