Youth Hostel Echternach

Ist in die Jahre gekommen. Mann kann nicht ordentlich duschen, andauernd geht die Dusche aus. Das Spülbeckenwasser ist kalt. Es müsste mal modernisiert werden. Die Küche ist leider schlecht. hat nicht mit gesunder Ernährung zu tun. Es wird nicht auf Nachtruhe geachtet.

One of the restaurant's employee was unpolite and borderline aggressive: The rules to access the restaurant changed since the last time we visited the place. Now they keep the doors closed but unlocked until 12pm. The door I tried to access the place had no information about that. Wenn man hier ein Menü bestellt, bekommt man alle 3 Gänge auf einmal serviert. Dass das Essen nicht auf den Tisch passt, interessiert niemanden. Geschmacklich ist das Essen auch nicht empfehlenswert.

Die Löffel waren der Größe der Schüsseln nicht angepasst.

Accueil désagréable. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec lit double pour nous voir proposer un lit superposé à notre arrivée, aucune solution possible. Par ailleurs la salle d'escalade sur place est payante (et petite). Dommage, allez ailleurs.

Wir waren nur zum Essen dort. Das Gemüse war kalt. Preis und Portionen absolut nicht angemessen. Nach meiner Nachfrage, dass der Preis total überteuert war, sagte er, es seien feste Menüpreise und er könnte da nichts machen. Portion Pommes hat somit 6,50€ gekostet!!! Absolut unfreundlich und unflexibel. Preis für Fleisch mitberechnet, obwohl wir keines essen. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Prijs is hoog in vergelijking voor wat je krijgt. Douche valt iedere 12 seconden uit en er zijn geen gordijnen.

Very nice hostel, with nice staff, but it is somewhat difficult to get to, is a good walk from nearest bus stop.

Super leuk hostel! De kamers zijn in orde. Voldoende ruimte om ergens rustig te gaan zitten. Het ontbijt is lekker! Veel fruit en plantaardige melk, lekker :p Het restaurant van het Hostel is ook goed! Prijs-kwaliteit zeker de moeite :) De klimmuur is ook een leuk extraatje. Weet wel dat de klimmuur enkel open is op zondag. Zeker een aanrader! Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf

Prijs/kwaliteit is erg goed. Vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers en goed eten. Een hele fijne plek voor weinig geld.

The location is great, the staff are very friendly, everything is very clean, and the coffee and food are excellent.

Echt een modern hostel met prima gezinskamers. Prima ontbijt. Echt op een super locatie. Prijs kwaliteit perfect. De jonge man van de receptie met krullend haar gaf ons een warm onthaal en goede tips voor wandelingen.

Weekend with my sister (family). The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. Room with shower is also possible for a small surplus. So we were both very satisfied. My sister is a bit older so the hostel is also for non-youth. On a 15 minute walk from Echternach city center. Very good location to do the Mullerthall hikes.

Es handelt sich um ein eher kleines aber feines Hostel was am Ausgang von Echternach Richtung Luxembourg an dessen See liegt . Mein Freund und ich wurden sehr nett begrüßt vom jungen Mann an der Rezeption wo auch gleich nebenan das Kaffee des Hostels ist, wo man sich auf hochstühlen zum Fenster setzen kann, wo man dann einen Ausblick auf die dortige indor Kletterwand hat, was ich doch sehr interessant fand. Dann gleich nebendrann befindet sich der Kantinenbereich wo man 3x Täglich essen kan...

Prima nacht in Youth Hostel Echternach. Let op: je kan tot 22:00 inchecken en écht niet later. Schone kamers, beddengoed inbegrepen. Verwarming stond wel de hele avond aan en konden we niet zelf uitdraaien, dus als je in een frisse/koele kamer wil slapen met bijv het raam open, dan staat de verwarming eronder te loeien... Ontbijt was simpel, maar voedzaam: kwark met toevoegingen, thee/koffie en sap, harde broodjes met kaas, ham of salami en vers fruit.

Een prima hostel als je een hike wilt doen of een enkele overnachting. Het is me nog steeds niet duidelijk of de klimmuur nou ook beschikbaar was.

Die Lage der Jugendherberge am Echternacher See, in die Umgebung der Touristenstadt Echternach, ist wunderbar gut ... Ruhige lage mitten in der Natur, doch bei Stadt und Bus-Station (der Gare).

The rooms are nice, but there are a lot of old people and it was pretty empty when I was here. I can imagine it would be a bit cramped when fully booked. It looks clean at first glance, but if you look closely it is a bit dirty everywhere. The staff was allright but not very attentive. Eine moderne Herberge, und damit etwas anonym. Aber es ist ja auch immer Zufall, mit wem man so das Zimmer teilt. Die Leiter für die Stockbetten hat offensichtlich jemand entworfen, der noch nie barfuß hochsteigen mußte :-D

Agréable séjour à l’auberge de jeunesse dans un cadre magnifique au bord d’un lac. Très bien situé pour les balades dans le Mullerthal. Propre et sécurisé. Le petit déjeuner et diner sont copieux. Le personnel très accueillant.
