Great location and it’s nice they have a pub, but it will definitely be loud at all hours, they also have bed bugs so be careful

Very bad experience! There are bed bugs, no elevator, and the rooms are on the 5th and 6th floors. The rooms are extremely small — three bunk beds with no space left except for the bed, a tiny sink, and a very narrow shower area. If you want to cry, come and try! Très mauvaise expérience ! Il y a des punaises de lit, pas d’ascenseur, et les chambres sont au 5e et 6e étage. Les chambres sont minuscules — trois lits superposés sans aucun espace, juste le lit, un petit lavabo et une douche très étroite. Si vous voulez pleurer, venez essayer !

PUNAISE DE LIT ET IRRESPECT DU CLIENT ! J'ai séjourné plusieurs nuits dans cet établissement. Dès la première, j'ai été abondamment piqué par des punaises de lits. Pour compenser l'hygiène des draps, on m'a alors changé de chambre mais le mal était fait et l'infection débutée. J'ai par la suite contacté l'équipe pour obtenir un geste commercial, ne serait-ce que pour couvrir le coût des produits pharmaceutiques. Mes mails et mes appels n'ont reçu que peu de retours et ce après plusieurs mois et plusieurs tentatives. Un responsable a fini par me répondre qu'il s'occuperait du dossier avant de me raccrocher au nez. Toujours aucune avancée à ce jour. Rarement vu un service client aussi déplorable.

Je ne recommande pas du tout cette « auberge » de jeunesse, il y a beaucoup d’odeurs de moisi, de friture, de « crasse », les escaliers sont noirs de crasses, les chambres laissent à désirer niveau propreté, punaise de lit 1 mois auparavant, l’espace est très très réduit (pas pour de grande personne), pas d’ascenseur (pas pratique avec les valises), le prix est élevé pour des prestations si basses, une chose est sûre je ne reviendrais plus dans cette auberge.

From the very first moment, the service was terrible. Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted us in a very rude manner and, instead of offering options to leave our luggage, simply told us rudely to come back at check-in time. When we finally checked in and left our bags in the room, it was very dirty. Shortly after, someone came in “to clean” but went through our belongings (backpacks and bags) without our permission. Another day, when they were about to clean, we kindly asked them to come back later because we were about to take a shower, but the response was shouting and a comment that if we didn’t like it, we should leave. When we came back at night, we found they had cleaned the floor using our towels. On top of that, the bed had bedbugs and my sister ended up covered in bites. During the entire stay, our sheets were never changed. We did not formally complain out of fear of the staff’s violent and aggressive behavior. The experience was unpleasant from start to finish: rude staff, zero privacy, lack of hygiene, and a bedbug infestation. I absolutely do not recommend staying here. The only positive note was a young man who worked there and made my stay a bit more pleasant.

Do NOT stay here. Do NOT believe the recent 5 Star reviews...they give a free drink to guest if they write a good review! They have BED BUGS and have ruined my holiday. I am covered in BED BUG bites all over. Dirty, filthy, infested place. BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS

Worst accommodation you can get in paris. Takes like 20 minutes for them to check us in and still ended up in different rooms even though online we were told 1 room. Toilets never been cleaned and the whole place stank. Also bed bugs from it so don't go or it will ruin your trip. AC didnt work.

Bed bugs everywhere

Booked a room with 3 people. All got separated and made to pay for multiple different room keys despite the fact could of just put us in the same 3 person room no problem. Also bedbugs were evident and stairs felt unsafe. Wouldn't go again

El peor hostal en el que me he hospedado: El lugar súper sucio, las camas y la habitación olían mal y TENÍA CHICNHES, y encontramos más chinches en nuestra ropa, obviamente nos tuvimos que ir a la primera noche. El personal del hostal fue muy prepotente y grosero, y en hostalworld no nos ayudaron para que nos regresaran el dinero de las noches que no dormimos ahí. NUNCA RESERVEN AHÍ, por un precio similar pueden encontrar hoteles en la zona y mucho mejor que ese lugar nefasto

Horrible lugar, Tenían chinches , Nos robaron nuestro dinero No quisieron regresarnos el dinero Baños horribles y sucios , El cuarto sucio cuando llegamos , Personal prepotente. NI lo consideres es un fiasco de lugar.

Durante la primera noche de nuestra estancia, mi acompañante y yo comenzamos a sufrir múltiples picaduras de insectos pequeños (chinches), en todo el cuerpo. Además, encontramos estos insectos en nuestra ropa y mochilas, lo que nos obligó a tomar la decisión de no pasar una segunda noche en el lugar. Al solicitar el reembolso correspondiente en recepción, fuimos tratados de forma déspota y prepotente, y se nos indicó que no podían hacer nada al respecto, no nos regresaron el dinero.

Bed bugs. Beg bugs. Bed bugs. Customer service email ghosted me after three attempts to follow up on a refund request. It would have been a fair experience if it wasn’t for the blood and the pain caused by the bed bugs, and then the ghosting afterwards.

It was an interesting experience, bunk bed with three people, shower right next to the bed and see through so no privacy when there is someone in the room. We think we got bed bugs from this hostel as the overall cleanliness wasn't good (floor sticky, dust) and we discovered bites all over our body. amy room card was not working for the second day and there is no hang out spot besides the bar. Generally very squished

Chambres petites et lits qui grincent. La chambre 10 a des punaises de lit et la couverture est extrêmement sale. Ne réservez cet hôtel que si vous êtes désespérés(ées)

Musique jusqu'à tôt le matin, on a l'impression d'être à côté d'une boîte de nuit avec des murs en placo Et la rue est très bruyante J'ai aussi retrouvé une punaise de lit dans mes affaires, en espérant que c'était la seule...

Me and my girlfriend got bedbug bitten all over our bodies in one of their private rooms, and when we showed photos of the confirmed bites to the staff, they agreed that it was bedbugs and said they would "check the room" but offered no compensation or reduction in price. Apart from that, at 5am during one of the nights someone tried to get into our room, saying they had forgotten something, which they couldn't have since we'd been there for three nights already and would have seen their things. The person was banging constantly for about 15 minutes, which felt pretty sketchy. So in summary Peace and Love Hostel obviously have no control of who goes inside, and a severe bedbug problem, but at least Canal Saint Martin isn't the worst location.

1 nuit passée largement suffisant! Punaise de lit, coloc qui te balance la lumière dans la tronche à 1h du matin et qui tente de forcer le casier proposé. Je pars et 0 demande du pourquoi?! Tant mieux, dégoûté.

Arrivée à dans la chambre privée vers 23h, je decouvre une punaise de lit. Je descends donc immédiatement voir la réceptionniste adorable mais qui ne peut rien faire pour moi. Je dois donc changer d'établissement en pleine nuit. J'ai contacter l'établissement par mail comme conseillé par la réceptionniste 0 réponse, 0 remboursement c'est inadmissible... j'ai des photos, je ne manquerai pas d'en faire part au avis google si aucun remboursement n'est effectué

Horrible!! They have bedbugs!! We were stranded on the street at 23.00 because we did not want to get bedbugs. The staff was mean and very unprofessional. WORST PLACE EVER!

CHINCHES!! Y no devuelven el dinero.

Fue una experiencia HORRIBLE. La zona donde se encuentra da miedo, nos dieron habitaciones diferentes a lo que habíamos pagado y cuando entramos en ellas estaban sucias y las sábanas sin cambiar. Además encontramos chinches en una de las camas y pese a que la trabajadora de la noche nos aseguró que nos devolverían el dinero al día siguiente, cuando fuimos a reclamarlo nos trataron fatal y no nos han querido devolver nada. Booking tampoco nos está ayudando y nos sentimos estafados con nuestra experiencia. No recomendaría a nadie alquilar en este sitio.

Las habitaciones tienen CHINCHES y el hostel se NIEGAN a devolver el dinero de la reserva. Es un problema de sanidad pública muy grave. Una verguenza. BOOKING tampoco hace nada. Os recomiendo no reservar en este hostel si no quereis perder el dinero.

Bedbugs!!!!

We had the worst 2 nights of our 3 week trip here. Horrible, small and dirty rooms. No bed covers, and very afraid of having bedbugs or scabies now. It smelled like literal piss and there was absolutely no air circulation, which was worsened by the shower being inside the room. It was hard to breathe, due to this, and because the beds were stacked 3 on top of each other and it was impossible to do anything but lie down. Whenever anyone moved in one bed, it would feel like an earthquake. On top of the horrible rooms, the guy in the reception kept adding things to our bill with little to no explanation. Do yourself a favor and pay a couple extra euros for anything other than this insult of a stay.

Terrible experience. I woke up in the middle of the night because my body was itching, the bed was full of bed bugs!! I reached out to the receptionist immediately and he was drunk 😞 he didn’t help at all, he only said I could change the sheets because it was full booked or to find another place (it was 2am!). I had to share the bed with my friend until 7am and I ended up leaving the place right away.

The staff were all very friendly, in a good location however the bathroom was full of bugs, the room was very warm and the street noise was loud. Worst of all I left covered in lines of bed bug bites. Stayed in double room 12. Decent value for money but the bugs really put a damper on the stay

Alors je ne peux pas noter j’ai 17 ans je vais à Paris pour le week end jespre que tout ce passera bien j’ai réserver avant de lire les avis donc j’espère de pas avoir de punaise de lit que le personelle soie au plus aimable avec moi et pouvoir m’être mais affaire en sécurité priez pour moi je vous donnerais des nouvelle le jours arrive elle 29 octobre 2019 et le jour de mon départ mercredi 30 octobre 2019

Most awful “hostel” ever! 7 flights of windy wooden stairs that are barely wide enough to get up, definitely needs a check by work health and safety as if someone fell they would be in serious trouble ! We stayed in the three bed room that was so small and cramped it was barely big enough for two people let alone three people with three bags. The bottom bunk was basically on the floor, and there were bed bugs. The room got so overheated and the noise from the street was shockingly loud with screaming and sirens. The room contained a shower that was directly next to the bed so when you did shower you almost stepped directly into the bed making things all wet. The hostel has all toilets up the stair case which also did not lock and were just in the most inconvenient locations along the stair well. The hostel is not somewhere young travellers should be going as it is just filled with 40+ year old men whom seem to Rome around the place and hang around the bar. The staff were dodgy and were not much help, also making us pay cash on arrival and walk down to the closest ATM. Towels are advertised as provided yet we were told 3.50 euro each. The hostel is loud and all three nights we stayed we felt very unsafe not only because of the old men in our room but just the hole general vibe of the place . The ONLY plus to this establishment is the location, but other than that don’t stay it may seem cheap but it’s not worth the money. Also the kitchen is so disgusting it’s un usable, wouldn’t even touch the microwave. You’ve been warned.

Has a kitchen and place to put your luggage. Wifi only works in lobby (which is a bar) but it consistently works. No bed bugs. So many stairs but for the price, nothing to complain about.

Have a friend staying in Paris right now, and it got me reminiscing about my trip there.....in 2009 lol. Started reading the reviews and I’m busting a gut laughing. I was 24 when I stayed there so I was up for whatever brooooo— you gotta really have that mentality for sure. Some of us went out with the guy who ran the place and he got a bottle SMASHED OVER HIS HEAD outside the Moulin Rouge! Crazy American lady wanted to SEW HIM UP! Lol god I hope he’s still there. Really glad I didn’t get bed bugs, that would’ve been NICE to bring back to my family (I just met) in Ireland. Overall I had the trip of my life back in 2009, so this was just another experience and I mean that guy getting bottled... making memories, folks. I’d give it three 2009 stars, but seeing how unapologetic they are about the massive complaints on this place got them an extra star— THAT’s PARISIAN ‘TUDE BABAAY! KEEP IT UP. PS. Bed bug tips: if you find you’re getting bit at places like this and are panicking, go buy some rubbing alcohol and a spray bottle (99 percent if possible) and spray your bags, shoes, hats... anything you can’t wash and cook in the dryer. it will help. And GET THE F*** OUTTA THERE, son! Keep on traveling. The experiences you’ll have are life changing. Fear nothing! ✌🏼and ❤️ from 🇨🇦

Muy pequeño.... Aguas con las chinches del lugar porque no limpian y me picaron horrible. Los chicos de limpieza entrar sin tocar la puerta y no hay baño en el cuarto hay que salir. Un problema todo.

BETTWANZEN! Weder Kooperation noch Kostenrückerstattung bei Beschwerde. Zudem kein Waschbecken auf Toilette... unhygienisch. Großen Bogen um diese Unterkunft machen!

Le pongo estrella porque no puede ponerse nada. Pero un desastre. En nuestra habitacion habia chinches, nos pocaron por todos lados. Nos tuvimos que ir del hostel a las 2 de la mañana y nos trataron muy mal. La gente de la recepcion nos grito, nos trato muy mal. Le dijismos que nos devuelvan la plata y todavia no tenemos noticias. El lugar muy turbio, cada vez que hablabamos con los encargados aparecioan 2 o 3 hombres. No vayan nunca! Pesimo. La peor experiencia de mis vacaciones!

I had to find a hotel at 2am because this place has bed bugs in rooms 7,8,9. Don’t stay here.

My friend is currently staying at this hostel and while visiting here, she got bed bugs. She was bitten all over her body. She let management know that her room has bed bugs. They told her there was nothing they can do for her. The only thing they did was change the bed sheets. Bed bugs only go away when you fumigate and get rid of all the furniture. They aren't planning to do any of that. If you dont want bed bugs, you better stay somewhere else. You've been warned.

Lovely atmosphere, nice staff, super helpful and sweet when I cancelled future reservations with them.... However the reason I cancelled the reservation was due to bed bugs. It’s very unfortunate, and very uncomfortable. I spent two nights here and after the first night I felt a little itchy, but after the second night I was covered head to toe in bed bug bites. Everything looked clean, but clearly it was not, and laundry plus itching cream adds up, so it wasn’t much of a money saver, sadly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unless you’re ok with the gamble of being bitten by bed bugs or not, you do you 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stayed for 3 nights and woke up with bites all over my arm and they just kept adding up night after night. When I asked about bed bugs, the cleaning guy said it was quote, "electric shocks" from my blanket. He then said other people have complained about it but it's not the hostel it's them. He then gave me an anti-itch spray from a pharmacy. (Why would i need that if it is just shocks) Then he said it was dust mites.....maybe clean the rooms? He was just saying things to shut me up. After all said and done he basically threatened me if I left a bad review..... Well here I am. I stayed on the first floor where they have music louder then they need it for the 4 people in there so you barely sleep (which it is a hostel. Oh well) then there was this guy that I guess was not suppose to be there and kept sneaking into the rooms after someone would leave and sleep in their bed. They don't clean at all! The cleaning guy was even too lazy to put the toilet paper in the holiest paper holder...he just set it on the sink. All in all spend the extra couple dollars and go somewhere else.
