In one word Horrific Dirty Dirt engrained on literally everything; poor facilities sinks that block , broken toilet locks , beds like sleeping on hard plastic with dirty sheets , broken power points by bed , mixed bathrooms with doors wide open Free breakfast advertised misleading ticket i learnt for first 30 only Upon arrival £10 room key charge Staff were polite but didn’t fully register the how bad this place is Decaying facilities -wierd smell of mildew Bed bugs on bed got bitten

good location, creepy people in rooms, bed bugs, not clean, bathrooms smell horrible, they really just let anyone stay as well didn’t passport check the person in front of me, was outside and saw a weird dude with a black eye come in. okay i don’t normally leave bad reviews, but there are some strange, offputting individuals and bed bugs at this hostel. be forewarned. it is as described, and the check in process is easy, the space itself is ok, but pls beware the other residents consist of a. homeless people staying long term b. drunk people yelling c. verryyy strange vibes in my room luckily i only stayed 2 night. didn’t feel safe. d. some sketchy people (guy who loves drinking who posts up in a black eye and won’t leave the bottom floor hallway at night), people who get adamant about giving their IDS and passports and come from strange places (people in front of me during my check in, and yet they were still able to check in without physical government ID) there are also 2 bed bugs on my bed and i woke up with bites on my back. i’ve stayed at hostels before but this one is just weird. the staff themselves are nice but oblivious to how off putting the place is. the food is good. that’s all. don’t really rec

Nos ospedamos allí mis amigas y yo tres dias y nos encontramos chinches en las camas,los baños son comunes y tienen mal olor y el desalluno bueno.No recomiendo ya que se pusieron chinches en la mochila de una compañera.Revisar muy bien.No ir.

Bed bugs and dirt! Stay away!

Huge bed bug problem here, stayed for a few days in August and my friend and I were eaten alive. Only realized after the stay what the bites were.. Otherwise good location/service, but check your room and be aware of bed bugs.

I booked 2 nights on 11-13/9/2025 and only stayed on the first night because I was bitten by bedbugs in the midnight. The staff wanted to move me to another dorm, fortunately for me and other guests, all dorms were full so I was sent to a private room. Got refund for the second night after sending an email to complain, not sure if they would take it seriously as later on I found out it’s a recurring issue since years ago. Also, it doesn’t have a “hostel” vibe and it seems like some of the guests have been staying there for a long time, with a lot of luggage pile up in the corner of the small room.

Great location, David was a standout, super friendly and helpful like all the staff. We did find a bedbug in our room, but they took care of it quickly and it wasn’t a problem after!

Traumatizing. Booked 3 nights and opted to stay 2 and sleep at the airport the last night. Staff was rude and charged me twice, then handled the refund poorly, patronizing me. Weird crowd overall, much older, saw a furry and a woman who looked like she wasn’t wearing pants in the living room area. Shared bathrooms were gross, and we saw huge poop on the toilet seat once. Overall facilities are old and dirty, I felt like I was going to get bedbugs and didn’t feel safe.

not one to throw this around lightly but very certain this place had bed bugs bc coincidentally during my stay i found myself covered in bites. bathroom/showers are all unisex too which made me quite uncomfortable, and bc the showers don’t close properly the whole area is flooded, especially the toilets bc people have to get changed in them since the showers are so wet. perfect location to shops and tube and a great outdoor area!!!

I stayed in James hostel for two nights. I had bread out with my name on it and someone had stole it the next day. The receptionist made no attempt to looking for it. Not very friendly staff or helpful. Rooms are smelly, dirty and in need a deep clean including the bathrooms. Give you breakfast and dinner included in the price of your stay and the breakfast was nice. Living area was clean compared to the rooms. I had bites on my arms in the morning time. I heard from another source that this place has bedbugs. I have to now go and pay for a spray and cover my suitcase with plastic. Disgusting!! Do not bring kids here!!

There was a bad bedbug outbreak last week of august I heard from 1 of the other visitors who left after I did. the guest were mostly very nice. The bathrooms need lots of work, the showers are so small you have to stand in the shower to close the door. toilets and showers need to be in separate rooms showers should be boys or girls only with curtains there no way to lock your stuff and they only had instant coffee place desperately needs some AC room were 40c even window fans would have made a huge differences general laziness and lack of care by staff keeps it from being a very nice place to stay

J'ai dormis du 15 au 17 août 2022. Il y a des punaises de lit chambre 30 et 37. Ils sont informés mais ne font rien, car il y avait de la crème anti démangeaisons à la corticoide à l'accueil. C'est un produit délivré que sur ordonnance d'un medecin. Le produit mis sur mes vêtements n'a pas été efficace, puisque j'ai été piqué la 2e nuit. C'est la pire expérience de ma vie. Attention à ne pas ramener cela chez vous. C'est très dur de snen débarrasser. J'ai jeter tous mes vêtements, et j'espère ne plus avoir de problème.

The living conditions was absolutely unsatisfactory we had a 8 bed room number 21 and was staying to do a six week work course in London we had bed bugs in the room the condition was disgusting and staff attitude was abismal
