CroParadise Green Hostel

Leider konnten wir überhaupt keine gute Erfahrung in diesem Hostel machen. Auf den ersten Blick wirkte das Zimmer und Bad zwar sauber und wurden freundlich an der Rezeption in Empfang genommen jedoch zeigten sich die Tücken schon in der ersten Nacht. Die Bettwäsche war kratzig und ausgeleiert und schon nach wenigen Stunden hatten wir die ersten Bisse! BETTWANZEN!!!! Am nächsten morgen waren wir voll mit Stichen und Juckreiz am ganzen Körper. Wir sind aufgrund dessen am nächsten Tag ausgecheckt und die Situation geschildert. KEINE CHANCE AUF RÜCKERSTATTUNG! Der Chef tauchte nicht einmal auf, obwohl er dies am Telefon gesagt hat und die 200€ Bargeld, die uns versprochen wurden, haben wir auch nie zu Gesicht bekommen. Am Schluss haben wir Eineinhalb Stunden erfolglosem disskutieren, wurden wir als Lügnerinnen bezeichnet und erhielten am nächsten morgen eine Mail, dass wir gar nie in dieses Hostel eingecheckt wären. Absolute frechheit und total unverschämt! AUF JEDEN FALL MEIDEN!!!!!

Not recommended, despite the convenient location to most sights within the old town. I spent a few nights during the off-peak season, only to discover to my detriment that much of what I'd read in the other negative reviews were true and that the management was not only unaware but apathetic so long as the moolah kept rolling in. What was absolutely appalling was the presence of bedbugs- thankfully I carried none back home but being itchy with rashes all over certainly did not contribute to a great start to a vacation in Croatia I'd much looked forward to having. Nor did sleep deprivation thanks to a noisy street below and a window that wouldn't shut. The rest of the complaints about the bathrooms and overcrowding are legitimate- one shudders to think what the hostel would be like during the peak season.

One of the girls in my room found bed bugs on her bed, the front desk staff/manager didn't think they were bed bugs but moved us to another room anyway. Still unsure if they were bed bugs or not, but it would've been nicer if the front desk staff took us more seriously and were more polite.
