BED BUGS!!! Everywhere there are bed bugs. All my friends got bitten and couldn’t sleep. Also the electricity goes off so often. There is a problem with their wires. I don’t recommend this hostel

The hostel has a cool vibe and a lot of potential, but it’s really bad organized!!! In my room, a bed was double-booked — the staff removed and the guys belongings and gave the bed to someone else, even though it was still reserved. I paid for express laundry, but had to ask for it repeatedly over several days before I finally got my clothes back. There was a case of bedbugs in a room and found the beds very uncomfortable 😅

NO bedbugs.! Very clean, very social, good food, nice pool and quiet. By walk 20min to the center but you can also rent scooters. I loved it there.!

Got bedbugs in my bed here. The staff was helpful in offering a place for my stuff and free laundry, but their boss would not agree to a full refund. I think bedbugs are a big problem in this hostel and they are not tackling it properly.

We spent there three days and although the environment is very nice, people working there do not offer a good service. Here are the reasons why: - first of all, it’s the most expensive place we’ve stayed in indonesia. we extended one more night and they charged this night at a higher price than usual. a part from that, we wanted to rent two motorbikes for two days, we asked if it was possible to negotiate the price and their answer was that it was only possible if we rented the scooters for one week (opposite to any other place in indonesia). (Not) surprisingly, you need to leave a deposit for towels 🙄 - our last day we decided to have lunch there, not a good idea. food quality is poor and the waiters had our order mistaken (it was not crowded at the moment and we repeated the order a couple of times). Also, when we checked out, reception wanted us to pay again (we payed at the beginning), it does not make any sense, it seems like they don’t know what they are doing. - in terms of rooms, my sister got bitten by bedbugs, we didn’t get any refund. plus, toilets get stucked very easily (one positive thing about this place, they clean the bathrooms everyday). - the only thing good about this place is the restaurant in front of it: Nohi, highly recommended. Excellent coffee and staff If you have alternatives, choose them and do not come here.

LO BARATO SALE CARO. Para empezar, NO TE FIES de las reseñas que ves en booking y google porque allí ofrecen un cafe o té gratis a cambio de que escribas una reseña de 5 estrellas. A parte de esto, a diferencia de cualquier estancia en Indonesia, en esta no puedes confiar en comprar servicios (limpiar ropa, yoga, excursiones, surf…) con ellos porque los precios mucho más caros de lo que puedes encontrar en ningún lado. A parte, cogí chinches y no hicieron NADA al respecto. El servicio del personal PÉSIMO, no recomiendo comer en su restaurante se equivocaron con toda nuestra comanda y no nos lo cambiaron por lo qué realmente pedimos, simplemente nos ignoraban. Los baños otra gran decepción, los vaters se atascan cada vez que tiras papel, siempre estaban astados con mierda flotando, un asco. No tienen motos suficientes para alquilar a sus clientes.

There where soo many bed bugs, my friend couldn’t sleep at all and couldn’t stop scratching for many days. The reception was not friendly at all, and the restaurant service was very confused with our orders. And about the toilets, better not to comment. At least its a nice hotel to meet people!

by all means i recommend you to avoid this hotel, i had booked it because i needed somewhere to sleep and i didn't read the reviews, i arrived wanting to sleep but then i was eaten alive by the bed bugs, and i decided to sleep outside, but since this hostel has 0 rules people were in the pool talking and drinking until 4 am, staff accused me that i brought the bed bugs!! which they aslo did to the other person with the review here, really, there is nothing that should make you book this place.

Found bedbugs in my bed. They changed half my sheets and said that the the rest of the sheets were at the laundry place, so I should just deal with it. Only got 60% of my money back, when I wanted to leave. If there were no bedbugs, it would be a great hostel.

The hostel is lovely, really clean rooms and great facilities but unfortunately I had bed bugs and got bitten a lot. I reported it to the staff and they blamed me rather than apologising and addressing the problem themselves. I know it was from the hostel as I had previously been completely fine then as soon as I moved there I started getting bites and based on other people’s reviews they clearly had bed bugs there too. It’s a shame as I would have given a higher score had they handled it better

Good location just a short ride or walk from the town. Far enough away that you don’t really hear the mosques. Really lovely pool area, was a great place to relax throughout the day and they had an affordable breakfast menu. I saw they had reviews concerning bed bugs so we’re relieved to see them using bug spray as part of the cleaning and leaving the mattresses in the sun to kill them. We did not have bedbug problems. Giving 4 stars because the beds were not very comfortable. I felt the capsules were a way of glorifying what was essentially a 16 bed dorm so they get quite busy and very warm. In summary: lovely place to hang out and a good base but not my favourite place to sleep

The Hostel has a lot of potential and the pool area is very nice. The problem: Bed bugs and dirty bed sheets. The bed sheet was very dirty with a lot of stains and i don’t want to know what else. But the actual problem were bed bugs. Don’t get me wrong, they gave us another bed in another room and wanted to solve the problem, but how you can see in the reviews they already had them one month ago and still didn’t get rid of this problem. By the way, we weren’t the only ones with bed bugs.

Be aware that they have bed bugs and the staff didn’t tell me that people were already complaining while I was checking in. I found out when people were complaining at reception.

I really enjoyed my stay at kaniu, good price for a beautiful hostel. The beds are private and the pool area is perfect for chilling. The only problem was the delayed response on the bedbug situation but in 2 days it was solved.

Be aware of bed bugs in this hostel… I have mixed feelings about leaving this review because this hostel in it self is really nice! Everything is really clean, the beds ars nice and the pool has a great area to chill. Unfortunately we discovered multiple bed bugs on our second night here. This was a known problem as we spoke to people who stayed here 2 weeks ago and also had to check out because of this reason. The staff handled this situation very poorly and told us the bed bugs probably came from our bag

Schrecklich !!! Geplant waren 2 Nächte, darauß wurde eine halbe kalte Nacht am Pool da fette Bettwanzen im Bett waren. Mehrere Leute entdeckten oder wurden sogar teilweise schon seit Tagen von Bettwanzen geplagt und gebissen. Obwohl das Personal davon wusste wurde nichts gesagt. Als jedoch fast das komplette Hostel nachts um 2 ihre Betten und Gepäck nach Bettläusen durchsuchten und fanden, konnten diese dies nicht mehr verschweigen. Erst auf mehrmals Nachfragen wurde das Geld zurückerstattet. Einfach super unprofessional und nicht empfehlenswert!

Bettwanzenplage! In unzähligen Betten wurden Bettwanzen gefunden. Ich habe sofort alles zusammengepackt und musste am Pool schlafen. Der Mitarbeiter vor Ort hat genau nichts gemacht und am nächsten Tag wurde auch erst nach Aufforderung eine Managerin gerufen und erst widerwillig das Geld zurückerstattet. Der Höhepunkt war, dass das Personal schon lange darüber bescheid wusste, nichts unternommen und weiter Gäste dort schlafen lassen hat. Super unprofessionell, geht überhaupt garnicht!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Staff knew there was a bed bug infestation and asked customer to keep it quiet and did nothing about it. Myself and 6 other guests found bed bugs and had to sleep outside by the pool. Staff didn’t understand that this is a big problem and that they have to fumigate the place. Bed sheets also smelt like wet dog. Shower is one stream of water dumped on you through a pipe hanging out of the wall. Staff ordered me a taxi to airport which was 25 min late and they didn’t communicate with me or try to reassure me at all.

I hate to write such a bad review for anywhere but both myself and a friend who was staying two beds down from me got bed bugs. When we altered the staff, their response was apologetic but had no sense of urgency. When I asked for a refund they refused it multiple times until I told them I’m leaving a night early and they’d refund me one nights stay. Aside from the bed bugs situation, the place feels dead. There’s no music playing, the staff just sit around on their phones and the drinks are expensive for a hostel.

Good facilities and staff. But I found bed bugs in my bed which made me check out even before the first night.
