OIA Beach Hostel - El Nido

BED BUGS, it took us asking three times for them to wash the sheets and change the curtains before they took it seriously, and as you can see it was not a small issue. The showers were horrible and we had to resort to filling up a water bottle with tap water to rinse ourselves as the pressure was so bad. The menu is also very deceiving as they don’t offer most of it, including no smoothies, fruit, or coffee. To top it all off we confirmed twice with the staff to book two tuktuks at 5am so that we could make our taxi back, 5am rolls around and no one showed up… Overall it was not a good use of money, the lounge area is nice but not very well cleaned and wifi doesn’t reach it either. It was a very expensive stay for a very low quality experience.

Scenic walk to the town, nice breakfast, incredible view, good atmosphere, incredibly social staff, comfy beds. This hostel has so much potential. BUT it is the dirtiest hostel i ever stayed at (in 11 months travelling). I stayed here 3 nights and not once was the bathroom cleaned. The trash in the shower was there til the end. I had cockroaches in my room and also seen one in the shower. I heard another girl talking about bed bugs. (Fortunately i didnt have any but ew). It was just dirty overal
