friendly helpful staff. very cold & creepy vibes. no kitchen.
The place is just fine to sleep. However, there is a problem with the management of this place. They have rooms, but also apartment. When we arrived the guy at the counter couldn’t find our reservation. When I first booked with the website pension Alcalá charged me the whole amount directly. When I arrived I was charged again the full amount. Contacted the hostel, no answers. Charged twice. This is not acceptable.
Had a nice view to the ocean! The room had a single bed, a sink, chair and table, air-cooler, little fridge and a shared (3 other rooms) bathroom with a nice shower, toilet, bidé, sink. Simple but clean. Read House-rules though: check-in is only in afternoon possible! Friendly staff.
I'm happy with what I experienced during my 5-day stay. Would come back if needed.

It is a quiet, simple accommodation, centrally located, not far from the sea, with friendly staff.
No luggage storage before check-in possible though confirmed in email before arrival, left me sitting in the street with my bags. Shared bathroom and shared shower + toilet both mean the same, only a small sink in the room. In my stay of 10 days no cleaning of the room and no change of my 1 towel. Did love my balcony, really opened up the room which had a little fridge, table and chair. And really loved my fan, 10/10 for that one! Fantastic gentleman at the reception! Carried my bags up!
Schlichte, neu renovierte Zimmer, die Pension ist sehr sauber und ich habe mich für die paar Nächte wohl gefühlt, Alcalá ist ein wunderbar entspannter Ort, der alles bietet, wenn man es ruhig mag. Achtung, es hat keine Küche!
Schlichte, newly renovated rooms, the Pension is very clean and I have felt well for the few nights, Alcalá is a wonderful relaxing place, which offers everything, if you like it quiet.
