inBraga Hostel

Fiz a reserva pelo Booking e fiquei no InBraga Hostel do dia 11 ao 12 de outubro. Fui picada por percevejos, acordei cheia de marcas e vim a ter febre. Problema grave de higiene que já foi relatado há anos e continua sem solução. Precisa de fechar pelo bem da saúde pública uma visita de ASAE

Café ruim, local muito sujo, cama com percevejo e roupa de cama suja. Lamentável, nao é como as fotos.

I would avoid this hostel like the plague. It is completely infested with bed bugs. We stayed here 1 night and were covered in bites the next day and onward.

BED BUGS! I had the bed bugs experience and when informing the hostel was only overwhelmed with excuses (or not even that in first instance, but merely neglect). Thankfully didn't bring them with me to my friend's place afterwards. For days I was still itchy and the two night I spent on the hostel itself it was horrible. First night I thought it was mosquitos, only halfway the even worse second night I realised it was something else. The owner didnt feel like offering any form of compensation and said they came from other hostels.... I also left a more extensive review on Booking, but no reaction at all from the hostel which is just rude.So another post here to possibly get their attention. UPDATE: received a reply from the hostel on Booking. Instead of acknowledging their shortcomings, they stated that I "possibly" imagined the bed bugs even when I showed the guy my widespread marks. Absolutely ridiculous. Also I was not the only one who suffered from bed bugs there, others were hospitalized, so yes there is an issue there.

Bed bugs! They are still there and apparently they have not been able to get rid of them. The first night I thought it was a mosquito plague, but after the second (horrible) night I realised it was bed bugs, something rare in Europe thankfully. The manager was aware of the issue and said it came from other hostels in Braga and that he had done everything possible to get rid of them. Unfortunately that doesn't really help me, neither does a delayed sorry (the receptionist from the morning had not said anything at all when I reported it or passed the information on to her colleagues). From previous post I could already conclude that there was not going to be some sort of compensation which indeed was not pro actively offered and I didn't bother to ask, few euros is not going to undo two horrible nights. Also laundry service wasn't really a service, but that didn't bother me too much and it was sort of funny.

Great crew working here! Met wonderful people that made my stay infinitely more enjoyable, memorable and fun than it would have otherwise been. The only but glaring issue - the bedbugs. The discomfort of the bites unfortunately has to affect the rating.
