   horrendous experience from start to finish. the whole hostel is dirty and it smells really bad on your way to your room. you have no ac in your rooms from 11am to 4pm. the shower water smells extremely disgusting for the first 2mins after turning in the shower. the doors to your rooms and the windows can be opened very easily without a card. the guys at the bar tried to scam us. they didn't tell us we would get discounted prices for drinks as guests of the hostel. overall really bad experience.

   Attacked by a local/staff member with a baseball bat! We stayed in the hostel for 2 nights, price great, location great, room alright. We returned to the hostel on the second night, a girl was throwing up out of a window and it splashed us. We obviously weren’t pleased so shouted at her to go to the toilet. We went upstairs and passed the room which was when a Thai man came out of the room and told us to ‘wait there’ whilst smiling. He then returned less than a minute later with a baseball bat and fly kicked one of the boys. He then was effectively stabbing us with a baseball and threatening to swing whilst smiling. Thankfully security got in the way but seemed to know the crazy Thai man and others we’d met on the island said they experienced the same thing but with a samurai sword & the bat. The hostel itself is fine, just be wary of the nut job and the fact that he was gone for less than a minute before returning with a weapon.

   I’d never stay here again. Location wise not too bad, a little far away but central-ish for the bars and such. Everything else was terrible however, checked out after one night because it simply wasn’t safe. Got threatened and almost attacked by a drunk guest - instead of hotel security or staff stopping him, another guest had to step in to make sure he didn’t punch us. Bathroom/shower wasn’t clean at all and there was sand EVERYWHERE. Beds were very hard and rooms had barely any light. 1/10

   Staff were amazing at this location, music and fun activities every night we were there. Unfortunately a group of girls in our room ruined the experience for us, one was having sex in the dorm the first night, another night kept up until 4am in the morning with the security in and out of the room.

   Insanely loud music, dirty rooms, no curtains and they put me as a female in a room with 5 guys. I felt very uncomfortable during my stay. Would not recommend this hostel.

   This was hands down the worst hostel experience I’ve ever had — and I’ve stayed in some rough places. Sand everywhere — in the beds, on the floor, in every corner. It felt like sleeping in a beachside litter box. The water also smelled like raw sewage, every shower left you wondering if you were cleaner or just marinated in bacteria. Air conditioning scam — they forcefully shut it off every day at 11am, like clockwork and they pretend to be doing you a favour by turning on the AC after 11 am, then secretly switch it off through the window. Zero privacy — staff waltz in unannounced with their own key cards. No knock, no warning, just straight-up barging in like it’s their room, not yours. It honestly felt less like a hostel and more like a weird social experiment to see how much people can tolerate before walking out. If you’re considering this place, don’t. Spend your money anywhere else — even a park bench would be more comfortable and respectful

   tne staff was not friendly at all, someone stole my towel and they were mad at me for asking for another. my room had no curtains and black mold, i am pretty sure i got bed bugs from it as well.

   O pior hostel que já me hospedei em toda minha vida. Já me hospedei em vários hostels mas de fato este foi o PIOR. Eles avisam previamente que a música alta vai até as 2am, mas em um dos dias passou muito disso, indo até 4am com música alta. Hóspedes bebados a todo momento, principalmente a noite. Entram no quarto, as 2 da manhã, falam alto, ligam a luz e saem deixando a porta aberta. Eu nunca vi hóspedes tão desrespeitosos quanto neste hostel. Em uma das noites roubaram 1.500 BAHT que estava em minha mochila, fui pego de surpresa quando fui almoçar e NÃO TINHA DINHEIRO PARA PAGAR. Em nenhum momento me senti seguro ou confortável em minha estadia. Os hóspedes e nem a staff passam segurança alguma. Eles retém seu passaporte no checkin, oque é extremamente não profissional. A todo momento a staff bebada vai tentar te vender o “Boat Party” que é um passeio das 7 ilhas pelo triplo do valor e sem o intinerario completo. Eles também não tem NENHUMA mesa onde você consiga se sentar e fazer algo. Apenas cadeiras de praia e de bar. Uma completa bagunça.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!! the ac doesn't work in most of the rooms and isn’t on for long. the toilets were broken 90% time of the 4 nights, , only one shower worked and was gross. Smelled terrible no curtains had wholes in the walls. good for the party scene/ boat party is great but there was a hostel worker named Finny who has been there for years, He is really creepy with girls and extremely rude to guys. I don’t understand how he hasn’t been fired yet. also had money stolen at hostel.

    Avoid This Scam Hostel – Dishonest and Unprofessional! I had an absolutely terrible experience with Blanco Beach Bar & Hostel, and I strongly advise others to stay away. I booked a stay through Agoda, but when I arrived after a long journey, I was denied entry because of their hidden age policy—something that was not disclosed in the booking details. Instead of taking responsibility for their misleading listing, the hostel refused to help and told me to find another place on my own during peak holiday season, when nearly every hotel was fully booked. This caused me huge inconvenience, stress, and extra costs. To make things worse, I found another place and went to hostel for refund while I was still in there, after promising a full refund, they only returned half the money, keeping my payment for a night I never stayed. Both the hostel and Agoda kept blaming each other, forcing me to waste time chasing a refund that should have been automatic. This hostel clearly takes advantage of travelers, and Agoda does nothing to protect its customers. This place is a scam—they are more than happy to take your money and refuse service. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else! #Avoid #ScamHostel #TerribleService #MisleadingPolicies

    Absolutely awful. Avoid! The fan in our room exploded, with the blades cutting off onto my bed (which would have cut me if I was there). We went to report it and the staff believed it was us, when we had been out all night? I had my crocs stolen from this property. Sand everywhere, in your sheets and everything. We were the closest room to the bar and we made sure we were out until 2am every night because the music was unnecessarily loud with nobody in the bar. Felt vile the whole time there.

    Do not stay here if you’re not going out every single night. The beach bar music goes on til 3am (despite nobody being there) you may as well be by the speaker. The shower flooded and never goes down, ran out of toilet paper, rubbish all over the beach, and hostel reps entering rooms. One knock and entering with a key card despite nobody getting chance to open doors, this happened at the blanco in krabi too, no privacy what so ever , being harassed to take shots. Not on.

    I had the worst experience I have had in a hostel at this place. They didn’t have any lockers for your stuff so you just need to keep it on the floor or in your bed. Some stuff of mine got stolen, the staff was not helpful at all. The towel that was provided by the hostel was taken by my roommate and the staff didn’t want to let me check out unless I would pay double the price of one night. They also keep your passport so you can’t just leave if there is a problem.

    The bed they gave me was dirty. Some stuff were stolen from my bag. Once spoke with the staff they said “if you wanna leave we can’t refund you though”.. holding my passport as a treat. Whatever. At the end I decided to stay and the manager in charge (who was probably drunk at that time, 11pm), told me “leave your Instagram I’ll contact you there, we’ll speak with the guys in your room to understand about the stolen things and find a solution”. The day after she removed me from instagram 🥲

    Location is great but shower and toilet facilities are quite bad. I would advise if you like to party to just stay somewhere else but come to Blanco for the festivities. Also one of their staff, Apple was incredibly rude and borderline harassment, I can’t believe they would let someone like her work there. She is supposed to be the ‘nurse’ on the boat party but is high the whole time. The other staff were fine.
