This is a beautiful, dilapidated old colonial building around a typical courtyard in the heart of Central Havana. Marita is a fantastic, helpful host and an excellent cook. Try her breakfasts - they are the best food you'll find anywhere around and very good value for money. One tip for travellers: bring your own mosquito net. The windows in this part of Havana don't have mosquito screens and there is currently an epidemic of a mosquito-borne disease, Chikungunya, raging across the country.
