Floripa Surf Hostel

Pros: the volunteers are amazing, and I had nice people with me Cons: dirty, I had 2 cockroaches in my room. Very expensive - not worth it to go surfing there. Very rude owner. We had to buy pans and pots for cooking. Not well equipped. Worst value for money imo

One of the guests (that I was sharing a room with) harassed me. I told the manager about the incident and he told me to calm down and stop being dramatic and didn’t believe anything that I said. The manager’s only concern was that I was going to “disturb” the other guests with my “complains” I had to leave the hostel at 4 am because I didn’t feel safe sharing the same room with the person who harassed me. If you want a hostel vibe go elsewhere. It's close to the beach and locker is provided. It's run by a family. Shared room had a very small tinted window.

Decent hostel. Very convenient for surfing

The hostel is a nice and chill place. It was raining a lot, so there was not much to do and the hostel is kind of located in the middle of nowhere. So the whole stay was more "ordering food and napping in hammock". Super close to the beach though. Perfekt for a relaxed holiday.

Super good hostel! Close to the beach, good kitchen (including lockers) and the best staff (No staff, just the owner Juan+Wife♡). Did 4 days Surf class which was amazing!!!

I loved that I could wake up and walk to the beach. Walking to food was doable but a little bit further away. This is a good spot for surfing. It was a pretty social hostel and I made friends here. Towels for rent. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Really chill friendly hostel. There was no many people while I was here and that made it easier to connect to people and especially the family who runs the hostel. Plenty of room in common area and most importantly there is a short walk to actual beach which makes a great option to surf or just simply go for a walk. I will certainly will stay here again

Amazing hostel, just 2 minutes walk from the beach. Great vibes, really nice people and volunteers. Amazing facilities. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Clean, nice kitchen, people were hanging out at most hours of the day and met a great crew, nice common areas. Short walk to Campeche which had fast quick waves for surfing, started with a swell and was packed later got smaller more suitable for beginners. Easy to rent a board and wetsuit from the hostel. When the swell went down I had better luck for waves walking further down Campeche beach, before that was fine right in front of the hostel. Had an awesome time here!

Very social, close to the beach. Clean and relaxing vibe, easy to connect with people for all day/night activities. Beautiful dog’s. However I had a very strange experience with the owner. I tried to rebook for one night after staying at an air bnb 2 nights (due to some sad news from home) the owner told me there were no beds available. I then heard someone extend so asked again and he told me it was just for staying guest (although I had stayed 3 nights previously). Weird vibe.

I really, really loved this hostel. It's often hard to find a place that is social, but not too party, and Floripa Surf Hostel has nailed it. The shared common space, happy hour and Whatsapp group mean that there's always someone to talk to, and always people wanting to go out / do activities etc. But it's also a chill enough vibe that you can take downtime and lounge in a hammock, or have a quiet night if you need to. A very chill hostel right next to the beach, perfect for a calm stay! It has the biggest kitchens I’ve come across in a hostel, hammocks to chill and surf lessons pretty much every day. Deffo no party hostel, but still social. Only downside is it’s quite far from the actual town centre! The kitchen needs a good tin opener too and more knives. Also, I couldn’t fall and stay sleep here for some reason, despite it being quiet.

Tolles Hostel. Sehr nette und entspannte familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Grüner Innenhof mit Hängematten. Man kann Surfstunden buchen und Surfboards leihen und direkt am strand vor dem Hostel surfen. Einziger Kritikpunkt am Hostel: Die Betten sind sehr unbequem und es gibt keine Vorhänge an den Betten, somit wacht man leicht morgens auf.

Très chouette hostel avec une trop bonne énergie. Pour le surf et la plage c’est idéal. Petit défaut niveau emplacement pour ma part. Je trouve excentré mais parfait pour les surfeurs. Le soir le premier restau est à 10/20min à pieds.

I had a wonderful experience with Floripa Surf Hostel! The city is amazing and Campeche offers some resting days. Juan and the people who works at the hostel are so welcoming! I also did the surf lession, and the instructor from Floripasul Surf School were very pacient. Really recomend it.

Amazing place, felt very at home. Really great staff and volunteers. Very clean. Relaxed vibe. Space to do yoga and work. Big kitchen which was a real bonus. Seconds from the beach with surf boards to rent or lessons. Also, great caipirinhas :)
