the fort side hostel & cafe

I wish I could give this hostel a negative rating. They denied our booking at the last minute, claiming that they had stopped taking bookings from the website. They did not communicate this change to us beforehand, and as a result, our New Year's plans were ruined. We had to pay extra to find a decent room due to the peak tourism season. Such unprofessional hostels should be exposed and removed from every booking platform.

The Staff was not at all helpful, the room was terrible.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à l’Hostel Fort Side avec une équipe très chaleureuse. Nous sommes partis faire un safari dans le désert et Alladin avait plein de recommandations à Jaisalmer !

Amazing place! Way above our expectations for this price and so far the best hostel we stayed in India. Our host Allaudin and his staff Dada were very friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. Thanks for the great chai! Also the terrace is a great place to do yoga in the morning with the rising sun :)

Hostel renovado, super limpo, camas confortáveis, água quentinha ! A vista do roftoop para o forte de Jaisalmer é maravilhosa ! Ótima experiência!

J’ai séjourné dans cet hostel et tout était parfait du début à la fin. Le staff était incroyablement accueillant, toujours disponible et prêt à aider. Ils ont organisé des activités superbes qui m’ont permis de découvrir la culture locale et de rencontrer d’autres voyageurs. En bonus, très belle vue du fort depuis le roof top!

I had a pleasant stay at this hostel. Its main highlight is definitely the location: the view of Jaisalmer Fort is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The overall atmosphere was great, and I particularly enjoyed the organized activities, which were well-designed to explore the region.

We enjoyed our stay at Fort Side. It is down a quiet street, there is a great view of the fort from the rooftop and it is only a short walk to the entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is tastefully decorated.

An amazing stay. Great location. Clean and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and were completely looked after by the owner, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Great place close to the bus stop and Jaisalmer fort. Lovely rooftop terrace with great views. Owner Aladdin was very helpful and fixed any problems we raised with him. We went on the camel safari provided by the hostel which was good, and we were able to leave our bags at the hostel.

One of the best hostels in India! Myself and my partner had an amazing stay here and the host Aladin couldn’t have done more for us. He went above and beyond and took us to the bus station when we were leaving, and organised an amazing trip in the desert - one of our hightlights on our trip. The rooms and bathrooms were also really nice, spacious and clean.

wonderful hostel that's made for the western traveller. It's has beautiful view of jaisalmer fort The bed are comfortable and the wifi is decent. The staff are great especially alladin owner and always doing fun things around town. I stayed in a few hostels in india and this was the best for sure. There are a lot of stairs here so if you find that difficult this would not be the hostel for you. It's very safe for women and families🏔!!

The location itself is perfect with a wonderful rooftop view over the fort. The rooftop terrace had been recently, partially painted and so it looks colourful and better than the photos. There isn’t a rooftop cafe at all but the use of the kitchen was great! The owner Alladin, is enthusiastic and makes all guests feel very welcome and helped organise a safari for me. The other staff there are wonderful, very friendly, smiley and will make you a great cup of chai if/when wanted. I was there dur...
