- We had booked a quad room (for 4 people) and on arrival we were taken to a triple. The team offered to put an additional bed in the room but it would have meant literally crawling over a child to the bathroom as there was minimal space for the extra bed. We were relevantly offered a 5% discount on the full room rate for our discomfort. We opted to cancel our booking and stay elsewhere and they gave us a full refund in cash.
+ It is located near bear street. Good location
- This hotel is completely misleading and should be avoided. Upon arrival, we discovered a steep and narrow staircase of more than 20 steps at the entrance—something never shown in the photos. Despite our confirmed booking, the hotel did not honor the reservation and placed us in a different room located directly off the staircase, opening into a small dining area. Also, there was construction happening right below the room the whole day. The experience was terrible. The room was extremely noisy and uncomfortable; we couldn’t sleep at all. Every person walking up and down the stairs created constant noise, and starting as early as 4:30 AM, the dining area was prepared for breakfast, making the situation even worse. By the time breakfast service began, the noise was unbearable. This stay ruined my trip, as the lack of sleep made me ill. The hotel’s deceptive presentation and disregard for guest comfort are unacceptable. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
+ N/A
- The staff overcharged their service to get a shared shuttle bus. There were a few people complaining to the staff directly when recently arrive, should have seem this as a red flag and turn around. Do not recommend, the walls are thin. Staff doesn’t do anything to respect the quiet hours
+ That we only had to stay 1 night.
- Absolutely horrible place to stay. You enter the hotel and this smell of sewage and piss hits your nose. The general cleanliness level is way below average - especially the tiles in the bathroom are disgusting, there is plenty of black mold and a lot of hair in the drain. The toilet in the room was leaking. There is no soundproofing, so you can hear everything from the corridor. Have not tried the breakfast as I was afraid of the hygiene in the kitchen. The staff are extremely unprofessional. Upon check out you are asked for feedback and if it’s bad they pressure you on WhatsApp not to write bad reviews. This is the honest feedback and my experience to try to warn other travelers. The reviews on booking are fake, just check this hotel on google.com.
+ nulla, htl in overbooking
+ Convenient location.
- Noisy at night and very spotty WiFi, so I had to hotspot most of the time. The “city view” was just a view of the building across from the hotel. The travel agent said she did not know the prices others paid so I ended up paying $55 for a $26 tour and $65 for a $32 tour. Also, she was very difficult to communicate with. When I had an urgent question, she didn’t answer for a long time and didn’t even pick up when I called. There is very little flexibility for cancellations and modifications. Easier and MUCH less stressful to just book tours yourself.
+ If you want to stay in the Old Town, it’s a very central location and you can walk almost everywhere. However, don’t think of it like Hanoi’s Old Town and limit yourself to just that area. It’s a great spot for a 2–3 night stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer visit.
- Before booking this place, I read reviews mentioning a smell during breakfast. I initially thought it wouldn’t be a big issue, but unfortunately, it was very noticeable — even without being sensitive to smells. We stayed on the 5th floor while the breakfast area is on the 1st floor, and the smell was still quite strong. The property looks much better in photos than in reality. The floor where breakfast is served smells strongly all day, not just during breakfast hours. This is also the only common area where guests can sit, work, or hang out, and the restroom door is right there, which makes it uncomfortable to spend time in that space. If you’d like to sit and have a drink, nothing is served after breakfast hours. The breakfast itself is decent, but the options are limited. During check-in, we were told there was a New Year promotion and were offered a 7% discount if we canceled Booking.com and paid directly. I declined, but this was the first time a property asked me to cancel a booking platform reservation, and honestly, that’s when the inconveniences started. I also want to mention the towels. In my opinion, cleanliness — especially fresh, good-smelling towels — is one of the best indicators of a hotel’s quality. During our 6-day stay, I couldn’t use the towels on my face because they had an unpleasant smell every time. The reception staff were kind, but not very professional. One evening around 11 PM, we ordered food and sat on the first floor, where there are also guest rooms. We were immediately told that if we wanted to sit there, we had to be completely silent, which felt uncomfortable. Overall, the rooms are old, and the bathroom smell constantly came into the room. That said, for a short stay of 2–3 days, it can still be considered okay in terms of price-performance, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay.

+ Being just steps away from the weekend Night Market and the famous Beer Street was a dream. Every single staff member, especially Jasmine, was so helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast variety was impressive, offering something new and delicious every single morning. Our room was small but incredibly cozy, and the daily housekeeping kept everything spotless.
+ We were really impressed by the boutique style of this hotel. It has a smaller, more personal feel that sets it apart from larger properties. The whole place felt welcoming and thoughtfully run. It created a more relaxed and enjoyable experience overall. One of the highlights was meeting Ms. Nga, who is an exceptional tour agent. She helped us organize our Halong Bay trip, and it couldn’t have gone better. Everything was seamless, well-coordinated, and exactly what we were hoping for. Her expertise really showed. It made a big difference in how much we enjoyed the trip. Breakfast was also consistently good during our stay. There was a nice variety of fresh options available each morning. It was the perfect way to begin our days in Hanoi. We always left feeling satisfied and ready to explore. The attention to detail across all aspects was impressive
+ Booking tours can be overwhelming, but Ms. Nga made everything simple and trustworthy. The hotel itself is small and incredibly inviting, perfect for a relaxing stay. Jasmine was always there to help with a smile, no matter how busy she was.
Accueil impersonnel.
+ Jonny was one of the highlights of our stay. He was always friendly and greeted us with a smile every time we came back. His welcoming attitude made us feel comfortable right away. The hotel itself is small, but that adds to its charm. It feels quiet, private, and very relaxing. We liked that it wasn’t crowded or noisy. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Hanoi. Ms. Nga was also incredibly helpful when it came to organizing tours. She clearly knows Northern Vietnam very well and gave us excellent advice. Her suggestions helped us discover some amazing places. Everything was arranged smoothly and without stress. The whole experience felt very easy and enjoyable.. A great choice for anyone visiting Hanoi.

+ Jasmine and Vivi are the sweetest hosts you could ever ask for in a foreign city. They helped us with everything from laundry to finding the best egg coffee nearby. The hotel’s cozy atmosphere made it easy to meet other travelers in the lobby. Don't miss out on the breakfast—the variety is better than many 5-star places!
+ Huge thanks to Lucie for the warm welcome and for making our check-in so easy. The hotel is small and charming, with a very traditional yet comfortable Vietnamese feel. We booked our Halong Bay cruise through Ms. Nga, and the whole process was seamless and stress-free. Every morning started perfectly with their delicious and varied breakfast.
+ Lokalita, poměr cena a kvalita. Snídaně.
+ The breakfast here is a 10/10—so many options to choose from every morning! Vivi was so sweet and made sure we always had everything we needed at the buffet. The hotel has a very intimate, warm atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed instantly. A big thanks to Lucie for helping us navigate the local night market.

+ Jonny and Jasmine are absolute stars who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The rooms are cozy and clean, providing a quiet escape from the bustling streets outside. We really appreciated Ms. Nga’s expert advice on which tours were worth the money.
+ For anyone planning day trips or longer tours, Ms. Nga is the person to speak to. She helped us arrange our visits to Sapa and Halong Bay, and everything was organized perfectly. The tours were smooth, enjoyable, and very well managed. It made our travel experience so much easier. The hotel itself is small but full of character. Its cozy atmosphere makes it feel much more personal than large hotel chains. We loved the friendly and relaxed environment. Jonny was also fantastic and helped us with our heavy bags when we arrived. He was always smiling and ready to assist guests. The service from the team really made a difference. We’re already planning to come back someday.
+ Good spot in the busy old quarter, and the room was a fair size.
- So we picked hotels throughout our holiday that offered a cot. The cot at this hotel wasn't safe: it was in a poor state of disrepair, the slightest touch and it shook and a main flap would come down, not great for a baby that's just learnt to pull themselves up. We couldn't put our baby in there, so ended up having to co-sleep. We raised this with the staff, and they had a look, mi ed it to the corner of the room and basically said "tough, it's self assembled and they get like that". They then had the cheek on checkout to say please don't leave a bad review. To make it worse, we had to stay in Hanoi longer "due to flight changes", stayed in a different hotel for similar money and it was about 3 levels above this for comfort, room, quality, and a cot that wasn't a death trap.
+ Lucie and Vivi were amazing—they welcomed us like family and were always ready with the best coffee spots and local tips. The breakfast was surprisingly good and offered a nice variety for a 3-star boutique hotel. Our room was cozy, clean, and super comfortable, perfect after a long day exploring the streets of Hanoi. The hotel itself has a really warm and friendly vibe, and its central location made it easy to wander the narrow streets, markets, and cafés nearby. Even though it’s in the city center, it was quiet and relaxing inside. Lucie and Vivi’s personal attention made our trip extra special—they helped with tours and gave great recommendations. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The staff’s thoughtfulness and friendliness really stood out. Overall, it felt like a home away from home and made our Hanoi trip unforgettable.
+ A huge shoutout to Jasmine at the front desk for making us feel so welcome from day one. This little hotel is incredibly cozy and tucked away perfectly in the heart of the Old Quarter. We loved the variety at breakfast, especially the fresh fruit and local Pho.
