I was extremely disappointed. This did not feel like a social hostel at all. Upon arrival & when I asked, staff told me that there is no common area. They shared that the property was registered as some kind of apartment instead of a hostel, if I recall correctly. I wish they would have been clearer and more specific with the description online as I would have not booked this had I known.

Booked a double room and ended up getting a tiny room with bunk beds that wasn’t even advertised on hostel world, there were no pictures - only ones of a room with a double bed which was extremely misleading for what we ended up getting. When we arrived the host was laughing that it was the smallest room in Split - extremely expensive for what it was. This wasn’t really a hostel, no common area and no vibe. This was an apartment, perfect for a couple or family w a full kitchen w dinnet-wonderful window for sunlight. Working elevator to gets bags up. The staff was wonderful. The location was amazing -7 min walk from bus station and next to green market and street markets w wonderful hats and cloths. No common area for meeting other travelers so perfect for family or couples. Thank you! 🇺🇸

Wow, the hospitality that was shown to me here really touched me. Upon arriving here Dina warmly greeted me and thoroughly explained to me the places I should check out in Split. Here recommendations were incredibly helpful for someone who didn’t do her research. The room & bathroom was very clean. I was hesitant about the location because I thought it would be noisy, but it was nice and quiet! Šime the manager was also very sweet and accompanied me to my Uber! The location was perfect. Close to the city center, main bus station and the port. The room was very clean and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

Amazing location close to the port/bus terminal/old town and helpful reception who provided great recs for restaurants and a tour company to use for excursions, info on how to use the local bus, and advice on beaches. It was overall very clean in the room and shared kitchen but there were so many ants! I did see ant chalk but it was annoying to deal with the pests. The hostel also feels more like an apartment as there is no communal space to meet other guests. Still a nice spot to stay overall

Nice staff, nice room, perfect location!

I stayed in private room with private bathroom and if you’re looking for a place that is clean and has a location so good it feels like your GPS is showing off, look no further! This hostel is a total win for sure. Friendly staff, comfy bed and when you step outside, you’re right in the middle of everything you could possibly need. If I could give 11 stars for hostel, I would.

We really enjoyed our time at Hostel Split. It is in a perfect location. 5 minute walk to the palace, 5 minute walk to the beach, right outside old town. Even though you are central to everything it’s on a side road so it’s not too noisy and you are able to sleep. It’s a smaller hostel and the hosts really make sure you are comfortable and go above and beyond making sure you have a good time in Split. I would stay there again!

I stayed here mid September time, the staff were really lovely, gave us some insights only locals would know & upgraded our room as they had no other reservations. All in all very good value for our money and would definitely recommend staying here on your travels!

The location is perfect! Super close to the city center. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpfull.

The rooms are nice, the bathroom is very clean and the staff is friendly. The walls are relatively thin. It can be a bit noisey depending on other guests. If you arrive before 10am the reception isn‘t open yet which means you can‘t leave your luggage at the hostel.

The room was extremly clean and well equipped. The location was great and the manager was so helpful and funny. It was a great stay, highly recommend.

Great little hostel. No common areas, basic rooms. Washer is 10€ per load which is ridiculous. Very close but out of the old city. Close to ferrys and bus terminal. Reception is open 10AM-10PM so we had to wait outside for a while. We were on the ground floor and there was a smell of humidity, but room was clean.
