Only stayed one night. Host is very kind and lovely, but the place is really expensive for the dated accommodations you get. I was fine with the simplicity, just felt the value for money wasn’t worth it
so many other places in gyeongju that are way better for the same price on booking. there's one bathroom for everyone staying there, including sink, so people are lining up to brush their teeth. it's just an old dilapidated building. the owner is nice, but nothing to make up for the property, in my opinion. it is in a good location, but honesty i would rather walk further from the bus station and stay somewhere nicer, which is why i moved to a different hostel after the first night.
very old hostel with no upgrading and maintenance. there are many other nicer hostels in Gyeongju for that price
Was very disappointed after I read the ratings. Owner Clint is really nice but objectively speaking I did not enjoy my stay. One bathroom for the entire hostel, decently clean but the atmosphere of the place spooks me to the point I try my best to not leave the room.. Facilities were aged and need a refresh (light switch was outside the room, no air conditioning). The room furniture and floor felt dusty, but the sheets were still decent. There is no atmosphere as there were no other guests besid...
Wanted to stay 5 nights- left after 1. The room: just 2 mattresses, a bulb as a light. I had a private bath- no light. That’s it.
The dont gave an ac …..
It's an old hostel. the location is excellent, right next to the Bus terminal. The owner was also very friendly and helpful and could speak English. But sadly I wouldn't recommend this Hostel, especially in the summertime, simply because it has no Air conditioning and it was so hot that I couldn't sleep at night.
Nice old fashioned hostel in town. The owner is a living lonely planet guide! Definitely recommended👍
The owner is very nice, welcoming and funny. The atmosphere of the place is also great. However, the building is very old and definitely needs some renovation. The room are more than basic with old (and unstable) furnitures. There was mold in the room which definitely not healthy.
Fairly good place. The location and the personnel are great ! The welcoming was awesome with our host Izo whi explained the whole area to us in excellent french. The room was a bit lurky, but ok overall. Towels were provided only the first day and not washed. Overall good !

The hostel is a bit outdated but a great place to stay. The host is such a kind soul who shared many recommendations. Also for a good conversation and a good laugh.
Great vibs and a very helpful owner! Anytime again with pleasure!
A very lovely host, he took it over from his father a few decades ago, gives great advice on what to do. I was the only one there at the time so didn't mind that there were no curtains.
Clint is the highlight of his establishment. Sure, you won't get a regular deshumanized rbnb experience, but you'll get more than you paid for. Visit Gyeongju and stay at Clint's Han Jin.

Great stay, accessible to everything in the area and right by the bus stations! Owner is wonderful and gave lots of information about the local area and loved a chat about life. Room was very basic and the walls in a private room were marked with old mould stains but overall very happy and would stay again!
We had a great stay at Han Jin Hostel in a private room for 2. The location is pretty convenient, really close from the hanok village. The owner, Clint, is super friendly & gave us great tips about the city and the surroundings and we spent a great evening chatting with his sister, who's a locale guide. Thanks again for the sindang market recommandation! The hostel may just be missing a shared room to chat and relax, otherwise we had a good stay.
The best hostel EVER! Note that this is a very old school and no frills type of place, but perfect if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, safe, and a place that will really remind you of a backpacker’s haven. Clint, the owner, is the coolest man in all of South Korea!
Very helpful host. Excellent position.
I loved it! The hostel owner is a very kind and fun person. Thank you for making my stay in Gyeoungju so good. The hostel has everything you need. Great value for money. Next time in Gyeoungju I will come back here for sure! Kind regards from Spain
A very basic setup overall but this is far outweighed by the aura of the hostel. You can tell it’s been a safe haven for backpackers visiting Gyeongju for a very long time. Clint, the owner, is a wonderful host and a wealth of knowledge- highly recommend.
I had a great stay in a single room. Clean sheets, key to room, excellent in room bathroom, hot water. The hostel manager will tell you all you need to know about sight seeing and getting on buses etc.. Close to night market and Royal tombs.
Very friendly owner, good price for a perfectly decent level of comfort.

The owner, Mr. Clint (Eastwood) of Gyeong-ju (Han-Jin Hostel) was fantastic! He was very friendly and helped to give me a great plan to make the most out of Gyeong-ju. I would recommend staying here if you want to travel on a budget while also enjoying your experience.
Can really recommend staying here! It feels rich with travellers histories, in the best way, and the host is really kind and helped me plan everything. the location is also good
We only spent one night at Han Jin Hostel but it will remain a memorable experience. Simple but clean room. We shared great conversations with the host and his sister. Location is great, right next to the bus terminal and a short walk away from the main sites. Highly recommend !
i really liked this place. the host was so welcoming and helpful. the house was like a family warm house. i like the style feeling at home. i wish i could come back. thanks you!
