Rotorua Hostel

Wir haben 4 Betten gebucht. Es wurde dann am Morgen vorm Check-In ihrerseits wegen Überbuchung storniert und wir haben bis jetzt nach mehreren eindringlichen Telefonaten, E-Mails und Nachrichten nicht das Geld zurückerstattet bekommen…

Location of the hostel is ideal. Easy to get around in town and good for parking if you have a car. Unfortunately, this is where our praise ends. It feels like the hostel managers had given up. The kitchen was filthy and needed a good deep clean. Ants were present and there were barely any cleaning materials to clean up. Those that were present, were dirty. Proper bedding was only provided on the double bed. The single just got a blanket to use. The shower had mould in it. Needs a deep c...

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable. On the negative side, no one seems to know how to clean. The kitchen is constantly filthy and the sponge for "washing" dishes was too gross to even touch. The bed had no top sheet and the comforter was dirty. The window ledges were gross and there was mold in the shower. There is no place to hang clothes, or even hooks for hanging--unless you want to crawl across the bed to hang on a tiny board with sharp hooks not made for hanging clothes.

Awesome stay! Nice heater, made the room warm. Central location, i recommend staying here again.

We enjoyed staying one night here for us family of 8 from south Auckland .. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfy and warm . Pleased with everything and hope to come back again in the near Future.
