Viajero San Jose Hostel

I was excited to stay here after loving the La Fortuna location, but this stay was disappointing. My wallet with $150 went missing from our locked dorm after house keeping came by(no roommates), and staff never followed up despite multiple messages. The en suite bathroom had significant mold on the ceiling. Solo female travelers were given wristbands and told it was to advertise them being solo and to make it easier to meet people but many of the men I spoke with were never given one

Good stay for a layover after a flight! Room was quite loud with music on till 12 but no one really in the bar area for the music…

The location was walking distance to plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and mini markets. Food from the hostel was delicious, but they don’t serve any alcohol from the bar. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. There is not air conditioning like mentioned, maybe it’s only in some rooms? So the window is open in the room with a fan, which keeps the room really nice and cool overnight, BUT the streets are constantly loud with people and horns etc. Free earplugs are provide...

Super weird vibe, absolutely no one in the hostel and no employees behind the bar or anything in the morning around 10am. If you want to socialize it’s going to be very tough, definitely do not recommend staying here. No free coffee either which was disappointing. Hostel is super clean and the beds are nice though.

Ein sehr schönes Hostel mit super Ausstattung: einem großen Bereich für alle mit Bar und Restaurant, das Essen und die Getränke waren wirklich sehr gut. Leider war mein Zimmer nicht unbedingt das, was ich - für den Preis - erwartet hatte. Von den zwei Nächten konnte ich keine schlafen, weil es zu laut & hellhörig war. The location is very good, it's a good walking distance to the center. The hostel has everything you need and I loved the common areas. The hostel has cool activities and the staff is so nice and chill.

Je recommande cet hostel. J’ai été surclassée (on m’a mise dans un dortoir 4 personnes avec salle de bain privative plutôt que 8 personnes). J’étais seule dans le dortoir, c’était royal ! La chambre très propre, le personnel sympathique, idéal pour passer une nuit ou deux en arrivant au Costa Rica ou avant de repartir. Il faut compter 20 mn à pied avant de rejoindre la gare routière

Safe stay in San Jose

We really enjoyed this hostel, it has a bunch of activities to do every night and the staff are really kind. The city San Jose on the other hand is not very nice, but the hostel is very welcoming to stay there all day.

Sehr schönes Hostel. Ich hatte ein privates Zimmer, welches wirklich großartig war. Alles ist sehr sauber und alle sind sehr nett. Ich komme wieder.

One of the coolest hostel I’ve been too! Everything is perfect, from the staff to the facilities! I’ve only spend one night as I had to take a late flight the next day, but they allowed me to chill all day in the common areas after checkout. Hostel is huge! Lots of different common areas, a rooftop, awesome decoration, rooms are nice with curtains+good water pressure in the shower. Restaurant was closed but seemed nice! Loved this place, nothing negative to say

What to say?? I have traveled a lot, this is one of the best hostel ever (if not the best)! It has everything you need, you feel safe, confortable and flexible. I forgot some clothes in the room and the staff (Annie) was so nice rhat they handledthe delivery ro San Jose for me!

Cette auberge est incroyable tant au niveau propreté qu'équipements et activités proposées. Une étoile en particulier pour la séance de massage !
