If you want a spotless place with a great shower, this hostel delivers - but that’s about it. It feels more like a coffee shop with a dorm thrown upstairs. No real reception, no welcome, no real common room, and the staff are really friendly but often seemed inexperienced a bit. I stayed in the 8-bed dorm: no curtains, bright light every morning, and every step made the beds shake. If you’re after real hostel vibes and basic to good hostel amenities, this place won’t give you that.
Not really a hostel. It's a café with dorms upstairs so zero social or activities or booking capacity for tours etc. I didn't mind as I just wanted a small clean quiet female only dorm. The room was cozy with lovely wood everywhere, really comfy beds. Nice bedding etc. Under the beds could do with a clean! If you're tired and just want a nice cozy rest so you can explore the city then this is a good spot.
Loved my stay at NamStay. A fairly new hostelwith a mix of dorms and privates. What I loved most was how modern and clean it was. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm, and it was very comfortable. It was hard to find a female dorm in HCM, but this was perfect. The room is small, but the beds are big and you have hooks where you can keep stuff close to you. I had the upper bed but it was very comfortable as the beds are big is sturdy. The lockers are huge. Staff is very very friendly, café is great.
Overall I would stay here again! Staff were the nicest I’ve come across and if you’re a female solo traveller looking for a secure cosy place to stay this is it. Bunks were modern and felt homely. Was great x

Après plusieurs jours très intenses à voyager dans le sud du Vietnam, je cherchais un endroit calme pour me reposer, et cette auberge a été exactement ce dont j’avais besoin. I had a real heart attack for NamStay. After several very intense days traveling in South Vietnam, I was looking for a quiet place to rest, and this hostel was exactly what I needed. An exceptional welcome The staff is remarkably kind, helpful, attentive and very understanding. I had to send a package, and the boss stayed with me for over an hour to call everyone in Ho Chi Minh City. A valuable help that made me feel clean.
