London Gate Backpacker Hotel

This hostel has BED BUGS, I wouldn't recommend anyone this place. we booked three beds in a two bunkbeds female room with private bathroom. bathroom was disgusting, room was full of stuff and when we arrived in the night to sleep one of our beds was occupied by two girls. From the other three beds one of the didn't have linen at all. my friend that slept in that bed woke up with a severe rash all over her body and face. the second night we just took our things and run away from that place.

luckily for us it wasn’t as bad as people on here wrote but upon arrival we were told that apparently an email had been sent out to me days prior (didn’t happen) to inform me about a broken and now only cold shower which we had to pay full price for. Room was not properly cleaned, bathroom dirty and moldy. Fridge also moldy. Saw a huge cockroach as well and were left with bed bug bites…. Doors can’t be properly locked, windows couldnt be closed in our room either. Don’t book this serio...

Het was een fijne locatie en goed personeel en heb me niet onveilig gevoeld. Maar het was gewoon super vies, er leefde van alles wat je niet wilt op je slaapplek.

-Infested with rats (i’m talking 20 a day) -infested with cockroaches (big ones plus the small ones that mean bad infestation) -moldy kitchen I will say free laundry is nice though but only if you like rats and cockroaches

Very weird vibes, strange men asleep on the sofa, rats roaming free at night to eat your food, was made to move rooms 3 times, cleaner comes in at 8am turns the lights on and starts hoovering. Don't believe the 5 star reviews, you get a free coke if you show them that you have left a 5star review, I'm on my ned stark so my honour cannot be bought. Found some signage clearly indicating they change the name of the hostel to clean up their image every once and a while.

This hostel has a rat infestation. There's dozens of rats, cockroaches too. The common room smells of rat piss. I got bites all over my body from bed bugs. The showers are full of mould. One morning I came downstairs to find the cleaning guy has taken my suitcase out of the storage room and was trying to open it. He claimed that he was trying to open it because he 'thought it was trash', lies. Do not stay here. Check out their google reviews, I have posted photos and evidence on there.

It just felt really grubby. Roommates had said they'd seen the odd rat about and the room just had everyone's stuff absolutely everywhere. I've stayed in a lot of hostels over the years and my standards aren't hugely high but I was quite glad to only have one night there. There appeared to be quite a convivial atmosphere but just too unclean. When I woke up there was also a random girl asleep in a sleeping bag on the floor in the room. It's not asking much for it to feel clean in the room.

a good central location in Potts Point, the only good thing about this place, rooms very dirty, showers that don’t work properly. I never saw any but other travellers saying Rats have eaten there food and been seen running around which doesn’t surprise me.
