Train Street Hostel

booked a twin bed private room after the ha giang loop. got put into a dorm room. asked the owner to check in to the private room the next day and he told me the dorm room was private and the room i booked had a leak. asked to check out a day early and had to pay the full amount. dont go here. no personel available when needed and they dont care if you get what you booked or not.

Kicked us out without warning while we were sick in bed

Je suis vraiment déçu de mon séjour. Nous n’avons même pas été reçus dans le bon hostel : on nous a envoyés à une autre adresse sans explication claire. Le personnel était quasiment impossible à joindre, et communiquer en anglais a été un vrai cauchemar.La chambre ne ressemblait en rien aux photos. Même avec un tarif très bas, je ne suis pas sûr d’en avoir eu pour mon argent. C’était sale dès notre arrivée : des déchets sur les lits, et du linge de bain immonde. à fuir...

Booked via Hostelworld a day before arrival. No reply to WhatsApp when confirming address, hostel under a different name on arrival. Guests told me it was self check-in with no staff. After several declined calls, they said no room was available and sent me 15–20 min away. At midnight, staff came to charge 8% extra despite taxes included. Dishonest, unprofessional, worst hostel experience – avoid at all costs.

Had to check in late but couldn’t find the place. Tried contacting them as well, without any news back. The address they gave me led me to a shady alley which didn’t make me feel comfortable.

Worst hostel ever. - Really dirty - Found toenails in 2 different beds - A lady came to take payment after midnight? - The room was flooded the entire day - Rooms are cramped - 101 literally has a kitchen inside of it that people use - No windows in the rooms, smelly - No reception, and the owner expects you to be in the hostel by 22 to pay him? - It’s not even on google maps, probably they had such bad rating before that they deleted and “opened” a new establishment

This is the first bad review I've ever left. I got to Hanoi at 7am after a 14hr bus journey, so I'd asked the host to let me know if the room was ready any sooner (no pressure). she agreed then turned her phone off til 4pm. I got into the room to find it filthy and bed hadn't been changed from last guest. she told me she had period pains so was sleeping. then demanded payment in dollars into a dodgy bank account. I got charged commission. I changed bed myself. awful place, awful woman, stressful

Difficultés pour avoir le code d'entrée. Pas de personnel sur place. Correct dans l'ensemble

To transit for few days is ok.

Very happy i stayed here, the hostel was quiet and clean. The rooftop was a good placw to unwind and enjoy food

Perfect location to visit train street. I never would have known I was so close to the tourist area because of peaceful the house was

Great value, comfortable room, enjoyed the rooftop laundry and free water

Really happy with my stay, the room was comfortable. I was arriving late so the self check in with Fresh on WhatsApp was so helpful! The host Fresh was happy to answer any questions I had about the laundry and rooftop. The house was nice and quiet being so close to Train Street.

Would recommend for anyone needing a quiet private room

Great location, easy self check in amd helpful staff

Hello, I want to say that the three guys who work at the hostel were super attentive and the girl at reception, who is missing a key on the computer, a 10 for her great work. She was super friendly and attentive, very attentive to everything, and the owner is a great person. The hostel is very good and very cheap. I highly recommend it. Thank you!!
