+ The wifi was fast enough and reliable. The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful.
- They advertise hot water in the showers, but I had to wait for over an hour while they fiddled around with the showers and plumbing trying to figure out why no hot water was coming out. When the hot water finally came out, it was spontaneous, the temperature fluctuated, and it was only for a short time until the water cut out altogether. San Cristóbal is a cold place during December—hot showers are a MUST. Also, the location isn't good. Quite far from the center of town.

+ The place is quite clean. Myra takes very good care to ensure that it stays that way. There’s always hot water, and the wi-fi, for the most part, works pretty well. The people who stay here are really nice, and there’s a sense of community. Although a bit far from the central area, the location is quite interesting and is a real neighborhood off the tourist track. The city’s huge central market is only about a 10-minute walk away, and you can buy most of the things you need to cook your own breakfast or other meals, if you so desire.
- You pretty much get what you pay for. The guesthouse is quite inexpensive, but that may not be a good thing. When we arrived, we were quite surprised. The pictures of the place on booking.com look much better than it actually is. They were quite obviously photo shopped. The paint is peeling off of the walls, and there’s graffiti all over the railing around the second floor. The kitchen pots and pans are ancient and dented, and the plates are all plastic that’s hard to clean. We thought about leaving, but we paid for six weeks and wouldn’t get our money back. Also be aware that the rooms on the top floor are often too hot during the day – we were there in Feb/Mar – and the rooms on the first and second are too cold, as there is no heat or air conditioning.

+ They let us check in early! Nice staff and our room was spacious. There is potable water available and the kitchen was a bit thrown together but got the job done.
- The walk to the center was longer than expected: about 25 mins to the zocalo or 15 mins to the outer edge of the walking street. Photos look much better than the place actually is. Simple rooms. Outdoor space could be improved with furniture that isn’t broken. Be sure to ask for a room on the second or third floors (ours was on the first in the back corner and felt like a damp dungeon with very little light).

+ El personal es muy agradable, nos explicaron como funcionaba todo, fueron super atentos, altamente recomendable. El lugar es una casa acogedora, con cuartos lo suficientemente cómodos y hay acceso a cocina, lo cual es una gran ventaja para personas que van viajando por más tiempo. Nos proporcionaron un espacio para poder trabajar con una mesa y varias sillas. Fue un excelente trato y el personal muy comprensivo y dispuesto a satisfacer nuestras necesidades.

The bed is comfortable. the host very friendly and i could sleep without noise. although it is a little far from the center it is easily accessible that the bathroom was outside and i had to climb a few steps to get to the bathroom upstairs. it lacks a small trash can in the room

+ ホストのホルヘさんがとても親切です。外で骨折してしまったのですが、ホルヘが病院を教えてくれたり、部屋をトイレの近くに変えてくれたり、親切にケアしてくださって1か月快適に過ごせました。その後急性胃腸炎になった時も応急処置してくださったおかげで一晩で回復しました。ここに泊まって本当に良かったです。売店が敷地内にあるのもすごく助かりました。 全室個室でオンライン語学スクールの先生が多い印象。授業の声は聞こえてくるけど、夜はとても静かで耳栓なく眠れました。ネット環境も良いです。シャワーも熱いお湯が出ます。 15分くらい歩くと大きなメルカドがある。
- トイレの中に鏡がない。部屋にコンセントが1個。
+ This is a good place for both short and long stays. It is my second time here and they made nice improvements over the years. Jorge is an attentive host and always making sure everything is in order. It is in a relatively calm part of town, but easy to walk to the bustling central market or the cafés and restaurants in the historic center. There are also some restaurants and shops nearby. The wifi is the best I have had anywhere in Mexico. An overall good value.
+ Habitaciones muy amplias con mesa y armarios, donde también puedes trabajar con tu portátil (buen wifi). También puedes sentarte en el patio o en la cocina si quieres charlar con otros huéspedes. Relativamente tranquilo. Incluso hay una pequeña tienda. El anfitrión es muy amable y nos ayudó con muchas cosas.
- La ubicación está un poco apartada. Sin embargo, me gustó mucho el barrio; es un poco más tranquilo, cerca del Mercado del Norte, de donde salen muchos autobuses para excursiones, etc., y a lugares como la Reserva Ecológica, y hay grafitis geniales. También hay gatos, que son muy amigables pero ensucian bastante. También hay que decir que la cocina, y sobre todo los baños, son bastante básicos, y hace frío en invierno al ducharse, ya que el baño está fuera. Aun así, es un hostal genial, y al final alargué mi estancia.
+ Muy buen lugar para hospedarse, sin duda regresaría ahí, Jorge muy atento, cuarto comodo y limpio, super recomendado.
+ San Cristobal est une ville agréable et nous avons séjourné quelques jours à la Casa de Los Colores. Situé a quelques rues du marché central et à quelques pas du musée Na Bolom (que j'ai adoré), l'emplacement etait un peu a l'extérieur du coeur de ville et c'était tout aussi appréciable. L'accueil y est super et possible de cuisiner sur place. Un petit havre de paix avec des chambres très simples.

+ Que despues de las 9 pm, no se permite hacer Ruido. Tienen cosina.puedes lavar ropa No se permite cocinar después de las 10 pm. El lugar donde está hubicado es excelente,cerca del Mercado central. Muy amable la persona que me recibió.
