Colombo Mount Hostel

Super amazing place, perfect location and clean rooms.The host is super kind and helpful, and the hostel is in a really good location.I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Colombo.

Not what I was hoping for, I was the only one there and it felt very bare bones but it did the job.

the room I stayed in had so many flies and mosquitoes and didn’t feel clean. I only stayed for one night so can’t speak to much else about staff or area

Great stay! Met so many amazing people and the staff is very kind. Make sure to stay in the deluxe rooms tho because the others are close to the kitchen and it’s very loud in the morning. Also some random people showed up in the middle of the night in our room so be careful.

The hostel is quite out of the way. You’ll need to get a Tuk Tuk into the city, but you are walking distance to the beach. Also, 50 mins taxi from the airport. The facilities are OK, but that’s about it, everything felt dated. Despite it being out the way it is still noisy. Rooms are cramped and have a strange lay out, they really need mosquito nets. The owner is lovely and can’t do enough for you, and the stay does include a free breakfast.

Decent place for the price. But one of the workers stole cigarettes out of my pack while they must of been cleaning and those things aren't cheap out here. Could of just asked for some and I woulda been happy to give em. I know theyre just cigarettes, but if they are willing to steal that than it makes me uneasy at what else they might take as there were no lockers and cash/passport just sitting in my bag in the room. Not cool brah, dont take peoples stuff that are paying you for a bed.

You get what you pay for! Room and restroom is clean, and the location is close to the beach/ supermarket so good for a one night stay in Colombo! Wish the beds could have been softer but other than that, no complaints

I had a very nice experience at a very good price, very tasty breakfast included, tables with umbrellas where you can socialize and drink something refreshing from the bar, clean accommodation, lots of utilities, hot water, air conditioning, washing machine, dryer, own locker with key and much more. and of course the guys at the hostel are super friendly and kind and respectful and really make you feel welcome. if I were to return to Colombo in Mount Lavinia I would stay there with great joy.

New hostel I stay one night owner Arjuna it's very nice. Staff exactly welcoming 🙂 room is very good very clean there are have free morning breakfast 🥞 some time night dinner 🍽️ also have I really recommend this hostel 💗👊 Now off season but this hotel 🏨 🛏️ have so many people 🙋 I really recommend this hostel 👍

You get what you pay for! Room and restroom is clean, and the location is close to the beach/ supermarket so good for a one night stay in Colombo! Wish the beds could have been softer but other than that, no complaints

The hostel is nice and clean,staff very helpful. Free breakfast everyday and sometimes free cooking lessons/dinner also free washing machine (own detergent). A lot of common space to socialize but no one is socializing so if you're looking for that this is maybe bit the place, especially now in the shoulder season. it is a bit far from Colombo (decided not to visit) but close to the beach

loved my stay here! all the staff are so lovely and helpful. they did a free cooking class, and a special lunch for everyone for new years. just really easy relaxed and happy vibe

I had a really lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. I arrived super early in the morning as my flight changed and I was allowed to sleep on one of the very comfortable beds on the roof top what was extremely kind! They also then got my room ready early for me and let me check in early! Very clean hostel and comfortable beds, I definitely would stay again.

I had a really pleasant stay at Colombo Mount Hostel. The place is clean, attractive, and has a very comfortable atmosphere. One of the best things is that you can easily buy food and beverages from the hostel, and everything we tried was very delicious. There is also a café where you can purchase different food items, which is very convenient for guests. The staff members and the owner are very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable.

A great value option if you’re looking for a quiet stay in Colombo. Staff were soo helpful, rooftop was a bonus and free breakfast is a lovely addition. Rooms were basic but clean. A bit away from the main attractions but the bus is cheap and very regular

This hostel is absolutely wonderful . The staff are super friendly and go the extra mile .their free breakfast is nice and is a real bonus. Owner is such a humble and an authentic person. I'd definitely go to Colombo Mount Hostel again!

Great place to stay whilst visiting Colombo, beach is a few minutes walk away. Loved the free cooking class and the included breakfasts that were different each time. Everyone is so welcoming, thank you !
