Vertical Hostel Mavrovo

Not a great hostel experience… Host wasn’t really helpful for tips around the area and seemed like she invited all her friends to hang out at the hostel and in the common room. They were watching television really loud and smoking indoors and the kitchen was very dirty. Didn’t make it a very inviting space to be in at all. Especially if you’re a (female) solo traveller, not a great place… Beds were also bad, only thing that was nice was the shower lol

The real owners are currently on vacation. So there are other people working there just to fill in. To be honest. They aren’t good hosts. They don’t talk to you. They invite their friends over, smoke in the hostel, spend all day watching tv in the common room. At one point I was the only one in the hostel for 10 hours. Everyone left even the person working there. They just left and didn’t say a word to me. I hired the bike which was good. I did a 7km bike ride to Mavrovo and got a coffee. ...

Location is not very good if you want to experience anything in the area, and don't have your own car. There's no real hostel vibe, place seemed deserted, even in the middle of summer. Staff are not particularly useful with any questions, and are barely present.

Very good, hostel, very welcoming and the owner is very nice, i reccomend this hostel, i had a great time!

I had a wonderfull experience and i would highly recommend this place to visit! The host , the location , the mountain... All in all perfect getaway ! :)
