Asanka Surf House & Resturant

Really negative experience. 1. There was people living there long term so they felt entitled to come in everyone’s room and use the available lockers, showers and toilet. 2. They gave me dirty sheets with hair and sand, and told me they changed it before I arrived (lie) and i have to see By myself that they change it. 3. Really dirty rooms. Showers and toilets not clean for days even if new guest arrives. Disgusting situation. 4. A girl living there was throwing up in the room.

The hostel has a nice vibe and is very close to the beach, but cleanliness was disappointing. During my 3-night stay, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all—neither before I arrived, during my stay, nor after I left.

Pas de casiers qui ferme à clé, un rideau en guise de porte de toilette et la propreté laisse à désirer. Le lieux est en revanche propice aux rencontres et l'ambiance est vraiment sympa.

it was a nice hostel with a good social vibe, but the room smelt of damp and the room/bathroom wasn’t cleaned throughout my stay

This is probably my favorite place I’ve been to during my travels so far. The location is perfect, the rooms are great, and the staff is wonderful. The owner is very kind and welcoming. We originally were going to stay for 2 nights but ended up extending for almost 2 weeks and stayed there almost our entire trip. It was hard to say goodbye! I would highly recommend!!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. People ask me if I’m solo travelling, and I find it hard to say I am, as I’ve been made to feel like family while staying at Asanka’s. The atmosphere is second to none, and the friends I’ve made here will last a lifetime. If I stayed any longer I’m sure I would have met the love of my life, yet career responsibilities have meant I’ve been robbed of more time here. You’d be a fool to consider anywhere else on the south coast!

Great location, really attentive staff and great group of people for the time I was there :) will come back next time I’m in Sri Lanka

very nice hostel, great location and the staff are very friendly, the bedrooms are a good size though there's no curtains on the beds, no lock on the bathroom door and no toilet paper or soap was provided. overall a great hostel though despite these small things.

The staff are really lovely, nice pool and met some nice people here. Good location near the beach and some nice food spots. They have beer, a little Poole table and good vibes :)

I only stayed in Asanka Surf House for 2 nights but I loved it here! Great vibes, super friendly stuff and comfortable room! The surf house have a pool which was amazing to use during the hot days :) Tottaly recommend!
