Adecuado para alojarse en pleno centro pero es bastante viejo y los baños podrían tener mejores instalaciones y estar más limpios. Lo mismo la cocina. La habitación es básica pero bonita aunque necesitarás antifaz y tapones. La calle es ruidosa y la tienda de enfrente no apaga las luces en toda la noche.
Suitable to stay in the center of town but it is quite old and the bathrooms could have better facilities and be cleaner. the same goes for the kitchen. the room is basic but nice although you will need a face covering and stoppers. the street is noisy and the store across the street does not turn off the lights all night.
Reserved a private room with A/C several months prior for around $50 a night, was given a room facing the street with just a dated oscillating fan despite being aware of A/C rooms being available. Looking at the site the rate was around $95 for A/C rooms and $85 for rooms without. From what I deduced, because I had booked a cheaper rate the owner forced me into the room that I did not book, breaching trust in bookings at this location. Store on street blares music and blasts lights until 2am.

The toilet was really dirty, there were hairs everywhere, the livery was full of hair and the shower, we didn't even want to shower because it was so dirty. the room was like a coffin, no windows, very dark, ventilation with an unbearable noise, even if you turn off the air conditioning, there is the noise of the air conditioning in the next room that makes the wall shake. the kitchen a horror! it was really expensive for the quality of this service.
Probably the ropiest place I've stayed in the last decade of travelling. San Juan is not a cheap place to stay, but for $100 I'd have expected a clean bathroom, a shower that was more than a cold dribble, and less of the feeling of staying in a low rent brothel. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
The room we were given was the size of a closet with one small bed. Nobody spoke English and we don't speak Spanish so it took a long time to convey what we needed. Also the 47 steps to get to the room were a bit difficult.
This is not a hostel, this is a run down squat house with some questionable element. When we walked in it started raining and the hall was getting flooded, ceiling was leaking. Host doesn’t speak english. The pictures are misleading, you’re getting a closet not a room with no windows, no bathroom, there is no balcony, there is a common bathroom. It looks like a run down half way house for recovering addicts or prisoners. Stay away.
Probably the worst hostel Ive been to. I booked a dorm and they put me in a room with a homeless person who attacked me. I asked for a change and they moved me to a private room without AC and extremely dirty. They made me pay the double the price I originally was expecting. Not recommended at all. Seriously.
I do not recommend it to my worst enemy. Rooms without ventilation or windows, broken beds full of bugs, dirty sheets, with stains and a musty smell... Really, if you go to San Juan it is better to pay a little more for accommodation with a minimum of quality. As if that were not enough, the host is a rather unfriendly and unpleasant elderly man. The only good thing about the hostel is the location.
Do not book- until they deeply clean it. I spent 2 nights. We were 2 girls. It was my first days at Puerto Rico and I was so disappointed to be in this hostel. The hostel has a huge potentiel (super well located and old style building) but the rooms are not clean at all. We changed the room the second night to get a (noisy) AC cause the first one has just a weak fan. The commun bathroom is not clean. The sink is rusty and the shower is not well cleaned. The location is truly excellent - walking distance to all of old san juan. Unfortunately, we found the rest of the hostel to be lacking. There was no AC in our room, contrary to the hostel's advertisement. Instead, we had one fan and a large door we were expected to keep open to have any air flow. However, this let in all of the light, noise, and bugs of the city - we got lots of mosquito bites because of this. Old house but Senor Rada will make you feel safe and at home even with his limited English very nice man. Place is clean and warm showers are available. Access to kitchen and laundry if needed. It's easy access to everything although San Juan is expensive.

The place has a lot of potential but unfortunately it doesn't look like there has been much love put in it. Fine for a place to stay and the host, Richard, was really nice.

Location and safety marvelous...a step back in time to a simpler world
you get what you pay for; luke warm shower, the bathroom isn’t clean, but it’s directly in the middle of old san juan which is convenient. the guy who works there is really nice and very helpful.
Great little hostel right in the center of old San juan. Unbeatable location. Staff only speak Spanish but are very friendly and helpful. Cash only at checkin, bring your own shampoo/Body wash and a locker lock.
If you just need a place to sleep this is great. But the facility wasn’t that clean and only two small bathrooms. The shower had really bad water pressure and no hot water. All in all though, good location and good if you just want a bed
Amazing location! Absolutely loved our room too! We booked a private and had our own balcony overlooking the street. Loved it! Only thing is there’s only one full bathroom, and then another very very small shower and toilet with no sink - so you have to use the kitchen sink (right next door). And, the cleanliness of the facility could be better. Other than that it was great. I would definitely stay again!

An awesome place to stay!
Don't let the mixed dorms deter you. I stayed for five nights with both male and female roommates, and the experience was completely comfortable and respectful. This hotel wins on location alone—you are steps away from everything in Old San Juan. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking to truly experience the city. Staff was amazing and was consistently cleaning,fixing and ensuring my experience was amazing!
Staff does not speak english. Super position in the heart of old San Juan, facilities are good enough, very cool rooftop spot.
Affordable space to spend the night.
Great location that can’t be beat. Place is very dated and could use some touch ups but room was clean. Enjoyed hanging out on the balcony. Water pressure was not the best but got the job done. Overall, good value for the cost.
