Ma Pi Leng Horizon Hostel - Tour & Motobike rental

+ relatively newly built. there is free drinking water. dorms have curtains. they have bike rentals. the old guy working at night is quite likeable

- they dont accept card payments as advertised only one guy at night does any work. the rest of the 'staff' just sit around in the lobby all day smoking cigs and talking really loud. they speak and understand zero english and need to use their phone for the most basic translations i tried to extend for half a day since i was taking the night bus, the owner refused despite having stayed over a full week at this place saying her prices were 'too low' already - ok then why not raise your prices? also the bed sheets were not changed after each guest. quite disgusting even by local standards

+ The location is quite good and there is free drinking water. There are padlock lockers which is quite rare for Vietnam. The dorm had central air but the rest of the hostel was not air conned

- There are too many people 'working' here with no front desk presence. They advertise breakfast but most days there is nobody around. The lockers are not secure as you can reach through the bars easily. . I stayed here for a week, saw several guests come and go. I noticed they never changed the bed sheets or blankets between guests. They simply folded the blanket and presented it as a clean - quite disgusting and indicative of the lack of hygiene in Northern Vietnam. Would not stay here again.

- There are always either a bunch of staff hanging around smoking and talking loudly in the lobby—with the smoke drifting into the dorm—or no one around at all when you need anything. They lock all the doors in the middle of the day when no one is around, so you literally can’t even leave. Out of all of them, only one girl speaks basic English. She has a twin sister who looks identical but is consistently rude and unhelpful, so it's hard to know who you’re talking to until it’s too late.

+ Mình đặt phòng dorm nhưng sau đó mình chọn lại sang phòng riêng cho gia đình, khá là thoải mái và phù hợp với giá tiền. Phòng riêng thì phải di chuyển sang khu của Vin, đây là căn shophouse vừa mới sửa sang, tiện ích không có gì nhưng cũng vừa đủ để nghỉ qua đêm.

+ Reservamos una habitación doble, pero en realidad era compartida, y al llegar a las 3 de la madrugada hasta las 7 que salimos hubo un continuo de llegadas de grupos, por lo que apenas pudimos descansar. Para mi gusto las camas también eran algo duras y el desayuno, aunque está incluido, solo ofrece sopa de fideos, lo que tan temprano no nos resultó apetecible. Lo mejor sin duda es el personal: súper amables, cercanos y con una energía increíble, te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer minuto. Alquilamos la moto directamente con ellos y fue todo facilísimo: motos en perfecto estado y con total confianza, además de buenos consejos para la ruta. Aunque nuestra experiencia fue muy breve, es un lugar práctico y con muy buena atención para arrancar la aventura del Loop

- Las camas para mi gusto eran muy duras, El desayuno está incluido, aunque solo ofrecen sopa de fideos, por lo que a las 7 de la mañana no nos apeteció tomarlo.

+ I spent here a night before my trip to ha gian loop. The room was , perfect. Everything is clean , new and comfortable. I have rent here a motorbike to do the loop. Was super new , no even 1 problem, and they support me about the best road to take , accommodation and everything necessary to finish my trip. Everything was awesome. Thanks.

+ Relación calidad-precio increíble. Personal muy amable, las instalaciones se ven nuevas y limpias, el aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente, y el espacio de las camas es muy amplio.

- Lo único negativo es que las camas son muy duras, como ocurre en muchos sitios en el sudeste asiático, y que los baños están en el piso de abajo (y las habitaciones arriba).

+ The hostel has a wide dorm and clean with all the bathroom amenities available and also affordable. It's located in the town center and near everything. It has a wide cafe area to hang out and a restaurant. They also have a tour for a ha giang loop that is reasonably priced that includes a free one night stay in their hostel and a bus trip ticket. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. They're drivers were good and nice, they will keep you safe for 4 days trip. Most of their helmets are all new and funky. Very cute. Whatever you need in this hostel, they have everything

+ Repito la reseña porque repetí alojamiento con ellos al terminar la Ha Giang Loop -> Tengo la suerte de que he viajado por todo el planeta, pero no es fácil encontrar un lugar a este nivel. La amabilidad del personal, la cultura de recibir e informar a los huéspedes es inmejorable. Me dejaron probar motos nuevas y dar un paseo por la ciudad con ellas junto a Sơn para ver los sitios más icónicos. Siempre que vuelva a Ha Giang me alojaré con ellos. Especiales agradecimientos a Son por toda la atención y preocupación por mi. Un abrazo! Te dan todo lo que necesites. Toallas, cepillo de dientes con pasta, gel de ducha, champú, chanclas. Tienen agua caliente. Todo es nuevo. Si vienes con tu moto te la vigilan y cuidan como si fuera una de las suyas. Sin duda nos volveremos a ver :)
