Nunu Bali Retreat Hostel

The place is beautiful and has two pools and a nice yoga shala. However, there was no vibe at all there. It was so dead the 3 nights I stayed, I barely saw anyone, during the day or at nignt. I wasn't looking for a party hostel but a place with some vibe to meet people. If you want some chill and alone time, it is a the perfect place for it. However, if you like to make new friends and hang out with people, I would suggest to find another hostel unfortunately.

2nd time staying at Nunu after loving my 1st. Things had changed. Really disappointed by staff changing their mind about the agreed price. After a horrible experience in the dorm with an aggressive mentally unwell guest in the dorms. I was offered being moved to private room, minding that guest not know about me paying same price. At checkout after long stay, they changed their mind and changed the price. Felt taken advantage of & regretted being trusting. Unlike dorms, Bad AC & WiFi & Unclean

Really lovely staff and such a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. unfortunately location is very far from many things and I was pretty much the only one there in the hostel so felt lonely for a good majority of the time.

The staff was so nice and the place is good if you need a break from “city-life”.

good overall, only small gripe is that the food is not the best and several times there were things on the menu that were out of stock, despite there being only around 10 people at the retreat. Not very close to the shops so not ideal.

Gorgeous place to stay! I loved my bungalow and the general surroundings. My only grievance is how far it is from canggu! But overall had an amazing time ❤️

Heel fijn verblijf gehad

Had a lovely, rejuvenating stay. Thouroughly enjoyed the yoga classes as well as the village & waterfall walk. Nice vibe, very clean & comfortable. Only thing is the food on offer - I think this is an area for improvement. Otherwise, would definitely recommend to stay if you want somewhere to relax & unwind!

Ein wunderschönes Hostel mitten in den Reisfeldern. Wer nach einer Auszeit von dem Trubel in Canggu sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Schlafseele sind neu, super gemütliche Matratzen und ein tolles Outdoor-Bad. Hohe Spa Vibes für den geringen Preis. Auch das Eisbad und die beiden Pools machen den Aufenthalt sehr besonders. Ich hätte mir nur mehr Transparenz zu den Preisen gewünscht. Auf der Endrechnung wurde der Yoga Kurs mit 100k berechnet. Vor Ort wurde kein Wort darüber verloren.

Quite literally the best hostel i’ve ever been to, the staff are incredible, the activities teach you about the true culture of Bali, the facilities are amazing and the atmosphere & people the place attracts is second to none. Nunu has a special energy to it & feels like a home away from home.

The best hostel I’ve ever been to! The staff are so incredibly kind and amazing cultural activities every day. The room is so clean and spacious with an amazing outside toilet. The restaurant is also outstanding quality of food, every meal is amazing! Can’t recommend this place enough, such an amazing vibe! This place deserves a lot more recognition as the staff works so hard🫶🏻💘

La peor experiencia que he tenido en Bali. El personal fue grosero, nada profesional y me hicieron sentir completamente incómoda desde el primer momento. Dañaron mi maleta y, en vez de disculparse o dar una solución responsable, intentaron culparme. Solo accedieron a reembolsar un monto por presión, porque estaba claro que no tenían intención de hacerse cargo. Además, abrieron mi locker sin permiso y botaron mis cosas sin mi consentimiento. Una completa falta de respeto hacia los huésped...

best hostel i’ve ever stayed in. the stuff is sooo lovely and the place is amazing

Loved my time there! Was such a calm and nature-vibes stay. Exactly what I was looking for. They have at least one communal activity per day so it's really easy to talk to others. The pools and hangout areas are SO nice! :) I didn't know about Nu's kitchen prior to my arrival and it was SO lovely and a great addition to the stay. So you could have a chill day in the retreat without needing to leave or a nice iced coffee, whenever needed. A/C was spot on too. Can't find a single flaw! :)

One of the best atmospheres for a hostel. I loved this place, it felt like paradise!

Great hostel, really comfy beds and good aircon. The pools are stunning and the free activities are great 😊 only thing is the location, it’s great in terms of being out the way and very peaceful but it is very far from anything like food places etc but Gojek rides are very cheap so it’s okay

I couldn't have wished for anything better. Honestly this stay was a dream and I'm tempted to wanting to keep this place a secret so it stays the oasis that it is right now but loving the hard working people here I truly wish for them to gain more attraction.

I really enjoyed my stay at nunu. originally I wanted to stay for a couple of days but extended my stay. the staff, especially rai were always super helpful and caring. originally, I booked the 6 bed dorm but ended up changing to the female only dorm because it was only me and 5 men in the 6 bed dorm. so you might consider booking the female dorm if you’re a female solo traveler :))

Parfait / merveilleux / un vrai havre de paix.

Beautiful retreat space with ongoing activities everyday. I really enjoyed my time there and look forward to coming back. It’s a bit far from the beach just for your knowledge but well worth it. I love that you can also have food delivered from the restaurant across the street. They made my stay easy and WiFi is great most of the time. Very happy with my decision to stay here and would highly recommend to anyone else looking to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Great hostel, just a bit outside of everything but that’s also the benefit, being in a quite and beautiful area 😊

Everything was really wonderful!

One of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. The staff are so nice and very attentive. The food was excellent and the facilities were clean and very comfy. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay in a quiet place in Bali.

NUNU was the best!! I only tried some breakfast food they make and it was DELICIOUS! Their yoga classes and free events are awesome!! The staff is all so kind and helpful and always smiling.

Super stay at Nunu, friendly staff, good food, good activities. Far from the crowd but it you want some silence here is the place! Loved the big bunk beds 💯
