I didn't stay at the hostel because they canceled my reservation to favor a group booking.
The location was really great! Very convenient and in the heart of Quebec City. But the maintenance of hostel is very low, maybe once a week they clean. And the staff was almost non existent, never to be found. Incorrect door codes were given out and even when we found a worker to help us with a concern, they were the opposite of accommodating.
Other than the ideal location, the place itself is in need of a lot of love. Staff is not present for several hours a day, making check in a bit of a logistical struggle. We paid $176 for a private room, and ended up sleeping in a creaky ikea bunk bed with lumpy pillows. The bathrooms were pretty gross, with moldy shower curtains and one was even missing a shower head. I’ve been to a lot of hostels in my life and I’ve never seen one that felt quite so much of a rip off as this one honestly.
Stay elsewhere. Dark, dirty, dingy, unrenovated, 200+ year old building with extremely steep stairs, cramped rooms, uncomfortable beds, no activities.
Extremely dirty. The beds move because they are so bad quality, the sheets doesn’t hold on to the bed. I thought it was a youth hostel, as the name of it indicates, we ended up being with a aged weird guy who woke us up in the middle of the night with his flashlight, started making noise et farting (no I’m not joking) then get angry at us because we said something. If you use the kitchen, wash everything before you use it. Apart from that, the location is amazing and staff really nice.
The worse hostel I have ever stayed in. Staff not responsive. Unclean. Rooms not proper. Some rooms have no AC so be mindful before booking. Overall a below average experience. The only good thing was its location. So if you dont mind a below par stay experience then go for it
Je ne reviendrais pas. Le seul point positif de cet endroit est le personnel arrangeant en cas de soucis, mais qui ne peuvent hélas pas tout règler non plus. Niveau propreté bof surtout au niveau des toilettes, litterie qui laisse à désirer ++ puisque simple matelas en plastique avec draps non adapté. Pas de clés pour accéder à l'auberge ou au chambre mais un simple code avec va et vient de n'importe qui dans l'auberge. Si vous venez l'été j'espère que vous aimez avoir la climatisati...
I wouldn't go back. The only positive point of this place is the staff who arrange in case of problems, but who unfortunately can't settle everything either. Cleanliness level bof especially in terms of toilets, litter that leaves something to be desired ++ since simple plastic mattresses with unsuitable sheets. No keys to access the hostel or room but a simple code with go and come from anyone in the hostel. If you come in the summer I hope you like having the air conditioning in mind

Douche bouillante sur tout les étages...et le personnel n'est soit disant pas au courant... Clients pas respectueux envers les autres (claque les portes très fort...). Très cher pour ce que c'est... On paye juste pour l'emplacement hyper centre
Hot shower on all floors...and the staff is either not saying anything... Customers not respectful towards others (clap the doors very loudly...). very expensive for what it is... we just pay for the hyper center location

Too expensive for what it offers. Lack of coverage. No staff, a responsible cleaner overworked. Looks more like a refuge than an inn. For the hard-to-leather or the seasoned backpackers

Bonne auberge ! Gros plus pour la localisation qui est idéale, chambre et douche propre. Cuisine avec une bonne quantité de matérielle. Cependant je préfère précisé que l'etablissement est aussi utilisée par des groupes scolaires qui peuvent etre bruillant.
Hostel ! Great plus for the location which is ideal, clean room and shower. Kitchen with a good amount of equipment. However I prefer to specify that the establishment is also used by school groups which can be hot.
Excellent emplacement dans le Vieux-Québec. Sympathique et convivial. Accès à des espaces communs. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Aucun entretien, sanitaires sales. Pas nettoyé une seule fois en 4 jours. Les 2 seuls lavabos sont bouchés Très bon emplacement.OUF
No maintenance, plumbing sales, not cleaned once in 4 days, only 2 sinks are clogged, very good location.
Always a safe bet in Old Quebec, the new owners really added a better vibe recently!

Cheap hostel in a great location. The staff were pretty nice though the hostel itself is pretty bare bones in terms of facilities on offer - there’s your dorm, shared bathrooms, and a common room and kitchen and that’s it. At night I found the room to be too cold and had an odd (but mild) smell
Emplacement idéal. Lit confortable. Déçu de la propreté de la chambre, salle de bain et parties communes. Odeur des toilettes dans la chambre. Équipements de la chambre à compléter (une lampe, chaise). Rapport qualité/prix à revoir.

The location is fantastic, and the dorm room was warm despite the cold weather outside. The kitchen is decent, although it lacks an oven pan and/or oven mitts for people wanting to bake. However, the bed mattresses are like bricks. I did not sleep comfortably on mine. I barely slept during my entire stay (and checked out early because of it). Also most people tromped dirty snow all over the whole place when they came in from outside which is not very nice. I did not enjoy my stay.

super emplacement, super accueil, juste pour les voyageurs j"ai eu l'impression que c'était beaucoup de groupe , donc difficile de faire des rencontres internationales
L’établissement est bien placé et abordable en termes de prix. Cependant les espaces sanitaires ne sont pas propres et mériteraient une bonne rénovation. Les espaces communs sont grands mais peu accueillants et peu utilisés. L’accueil n’est désagréable mais tout de même moyen et aucune activité proposée. Aucune possibilité de restauration sur place en dehors de son repas à faire soi même.
The property is well located and affordable in terms of price. however the sanitary spaces are not clean and would deserve a good renovation. the common areas are large but not welcoming and little used. the reception is not unpleasant but still medium and no activity is proposed. no possibility of catering on site apart from its home-cooked meal.
Bien mais vétuste. Pas de lumière dans SDB des femmes et pas d'eau aux lavabos. Seulement lumière et eau dans les douches. Lavabo toilette palier un peu bouché et poignée qui ne tient pas...
